      17th Anniversary Event

      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      Seventeen years online… what a journey.
      My oldest son is 19 now — literally an entire lifetime for many people — and this server has been here through it all. We’ve left our mark on so many players over the years. Some came, played, and moved on; others stayed and became part of our family and community.
      We’ve had our share of haters, but also incredible people who supported us, helped us, and believed in what we built. It has truly been an honor to keep this world alive for so long, and I’m deeply thankful to every single one of you who logs in, helps out, and keeps Ultima part of your life.
      Happy Anniversary to all of us — and here’s to many more years!
      Let’s keep Ultima alive!!
      Thank you, Ultima, for everything
    • Meseta major update / The Value of Money II
      A couple changes have been applied so that players can acquire meseta more easily by their own means.
       STARTING MESETA
      New characters now start with 15,000 meseta in their inventory (instead of 300)
      New accounts now start with 50,000 meseta in the shared bank (instead of 0).
       BANK CAPACITY
      The limit of Meseta you can store in every bank was increased from 999,999 to 9,999,999.
       Inventory limit remains unchanged.
       MESETA DROPS
       All meseta drops values have been increased.
      This applies to every episode (I, II and IV).
      Their frequency is the same (which means meseta won't drop more often).
      Boxes
      Normal: +250 to +500
      Hard: +500 to +1000
      V.hard: +750 to +1500
      Ultimate: +1000 to +2000
      Enemies
      Normal: +300 to +600
      Hard: +600 to +1200
      V.hard: +900 to +1800
      Ultimate: +1200 to +2400
      Bosses
      Normal: +2000
      Hard: +4000
      V.hard: +6000
      Ultimate: +8000
      Example:
      Viridia Bartles used to drop between 90 and 110 meseta.
      They will now drop between 1290 and 2510 meseta.
       QUEST: THE VALUE OF MONEY 2
      A new quest where everyone can farm meseta is available.
      It is located in Episode 1 > One Person > Special Meseta > The Value of Money 2
      After you helped a couple by telling Gizel to stop wasting their money for weapons in The Value of Money, the latter would like to thank you for the savings you had them achieve.
      Quest reward is the same for all difficulties: 150,000 meseta.
    • I feel like a banner showing it would be helpful rather than text with no BG. Could show pending rewards too
    • This is pretty cool. Tested them out a bit, including when the bank is full. Worth mentioning that if any part of the bounty can't be placed in your character bank the whole bounty is withheld.   Any way to make the text from /bounty more readable btw? Like maybe scroll slower or have multiple pages like iirc /help command on test server?
    • we open to suggestions, remember its by time, + monster kill amount + difficulty.   this is an example. [Mine Sweeper] type = daily monster = Sinow Beat, Sinow Gold, Canadine, Canane episode = 1 difficulty = ultimate count = 250 reward_meseta = 20000 reward_item = 031000 x3 reward_text = 20000 Meseta + 3 Photon Drops
    • Hi SanicTeam! First of all, thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed opinion! 😊 I completely understand your concerns, and I think you raise some very valid points. I'd like to clarify a few things about my idea, because I think there may be a misunderstanding about how I envision this project. First, I absolutely don't want to change the traditional PSO experience or interfere with players who simply want to enjoy the game normally. That's precisely why I suggested creating a separate, optional game mode, specifically designed for streamers and players who want to experience this kind of interactive challenge. Players who aren't interested would continue playing PSO exactly as they do today, without being affected by these features. As for players joining a streamer's party, they would know beforehand that they're participating in a special mode where unexpected events can happen. Regarding the difficulty and balance issues you mentioned, that's actually part of the concept! 😄 I currently livestream Tomb Raider using a tool I've developed that allows viewers to spawn enemies and trigger unexpected events during my gameplay. Similar concepts already exist for games like GTA V, Minecraft, Roblox, and many others. The fun comes from the unpredictable situations created by the viewers. Sometimes they help the streamer, sometimes they deliberately make things much harder! And yes, that means the player might die, fail a mission, or have to restart several times before finally succeeding. That's part of the challenge, and it's something players would knowingly agree to when choosing this mode. Of course, certain limits would still be necessary to prevent impossible situations or technical problems. Concerning items, weapons, and the game's economy, I agree that this needs careful consideration. I wouldn't want this system to disrupt the normal progression of characters or the server's economy. We could explore solutions such as temporary items, restrictions on certain equipment, or effects limited to the interactive game mode. These are details that would need to be discussed with the server administrators if they were interested in the project. Now, regarding your question about whether there's actually an audience for this kind of content... I recently started streaming Phantasy Star Online myself, and I've been pleasantly surprised by the number of people who stop by to chat, share memories, or give me advice about the game. Many of them are over 30 and grew up playing PSO, but I've also noticed some younger viewers showing interest, especially when they discover that the game can still be played for free. That's actually one of the reasons I came up with this idea. I thought it could be interesting to combine the nostalgia of a game that means so much to many of us with the interactive possibilities offered by modern livestreaming platforms. I'm not suggesting that PSO needs this to survive, or that everyone should enjoy this kind of gameplay. I simply see it as an additional, optional way to experience the game, potentially attracting new viewers and giving streamers something different to offer their communities. And to be completely transparent, yes, I do use AI tools such as ChatGPT to assist me with development. I'm not a professional game developer, and these tools help me understand technical systems, explore solutions, and develop my projects. However, AI assistance doesn't magically guarantee that something will work. Proper testing, debugging, and validation would still be essential, especially for an online game where synchronization and stability are critical. I also want to be realistic about the project. I have absolutely no guarantee that PSO Director would become popular. It's entirely possible that I could spend many hours developing it, only to discover that very few streamers or viewers are interested. It's also possible that the technical challenges could prevent the project from ever being completed. That's exactly why I'm discussing the idea with the community and the server administrators before investing too much time into it. I want to find out whether there's genuine interest and whether the technical possibilities make the project worth exploring. Ultimately, I'm not trying to change what makes PSO special. I love the game as it is, and I completely respect players who want to preserve the traditional experience. I'd simply love to explore whether we could offer something new alongside it, without taking anything away from what already exists. Even if this project never becomes a reality, I think it's worth discussing new ideas that could help introduce this wonderful game to people who might otherwise never discover it. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts! I genuinely appreciate the feedback, including criticism, because it helps me think about the project more carefully. ❤️ - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Salut SanicTeam ! Tout d'abord, merci d'avoir pris le temps de partager un avis aussi détaillé ! 😊 Je comprends tout à fait tes inquiétudes et je trouve que tu soulèves plusieurs points très pertinents. J'aimerais apporter quelques précisions sur mon idée, car je pense qu'il y a peut-être un malentendu concernant la façon dont j'imagine ce projet. Tout d'abord, je ne souhaite absolument pas modifier l'expérience traditionnelle de PSO ni déranger les joueurs qui veulent simplement profiter du jeu normalement. C'est justement pour cette raison que j'ai proposé de créer un mode de jeu séparé et facultatif, spécialement destiné aux streamers et aux joueurs qui souhaitent vivre ce type de défi interactif. Les joueurs qui ne sont pas intéressés continueraient à jouer à PSO exactement comme aujourd'hui, sans être affectés par ces fonctionnalités. Quant aux joueurs qui rejoindraient l'équipe d'un streamer, ils sauraient à l'avance qu'ils participent à un mode particulier dans lequel des événements imprévisibles peuvent survenir. Concernant les problèmes de difficulté et d'équilibrage que tu évoques, cela fait justement partie du concept ! 😄 Je fais actuellement des lives sur Tomb Raider avec un outil que j'ai développé, permettant aux spectateurs de faire apparaître des ennemis et de déclencher des événements inattendus pendant mes parties. Des concepts similaires existent déjà pour des jeux comme GTA V, Minecraft, Roblox et bien d'autres. L'amusement vient notamment des situations imprévisibles créées par les spectateurs. Parfois, ils aident le streamer, et parfois, ils décident volontairement de lui compliquer considérablement la tâche ! Et oui, cela signifie que le joueur peut mourir, échouer à une mission ou devoir recommencer plusieurs fois avant de finalement réussir. Cela fait partie du défi, et c'est une expérience que les joueurs accepteraient volontairement en choisissant ce mode. Bien entendu, certaines limites seraient malgré tout nécessaires pour éviter les situations impossibles ou les problèmes techniques. Concernant les objets, les armes et l'économie du jeu, je suis d'accord sur le fait que cela nécessite une réflexion particulière. Je ne souhaiterais pas que ce système perturbe la progression normale des personnages ou l'économie du serveur. Nous pourrions envisager différentes solutions, comme des objets temporaires, des restrictions sur certains équipements ou encore des effets limités au mode de jeu interactif. Ce sont des détails qu'il faudrait étudier avec les administrateurs du serveur s'ils étaient intéressés par le projet. Maintenant, concernant ta question sur l'existence d'un véritable public pour ce type de contenu... J'ai récemment commencé à faire des lives sur Phantasy Star Online, et j'ai été agréablement surpris par le nombre de personnes qui passent discuter, partager leurs souvenirs ou me donner des conseils sur le jeu. Beaucoup ont plus de 30 ans et ont grandi avec PSO, mais j'ai également remarqué que certains spectateurs plus jeunes s'y intéressent, notamment lorsqu'ils découvrent qu'il est toujours possible d'y jouer gratuitement. C'est d'ailleurs l'une des raisons qui m'ont donné cette idée. Je me suis dit qu'il pourrait être intéressant d'associer la nostalgie d'un jeu qui compte énormément pour beaucoup d'entre nous aux possibilités d'interaction offertes par les plateformes de streaming actuelles. Je ne prétends pas que PSO a besoin de ces fonctionnalités pour continuer à exister, ni que tout le monde devrait apprécier ce style de jeu. Je vois simplement cela comme une manière supplémentaire et facultative de profiter du jeu, susceptible d'attirer de nouveaux spectateurs et de permettre aux streamers de proposer quelque chose de différent à leurs communautés. Et pour être totalement transparent, oui, j'utilise effectivement des outils d'intelligence artificielle comme ChatGPT pour m'aider dans mes développements. Je ne suis pas développeur de jeux vidéo professionnel, et ces outils m'aident à comprendre les systèmes techniques, à explorer des solutions et à développer mes projets. Cependant, l'assistance d'une IA ne garantit absolument pas qu'un programme fonctionnera correctement. Des tests, des corrections et des validations resteraient indispensables, particulièrement pour un jeu en ligne où la synchronisation et la stabilité sont essentielles. Je souhaite également rester réaliste concernant ce projet. Je n'ai absolument aucune garantie que PSO Director rencontrera du succès. Il est tout à fait possible que je consacre de nombreuses heures à son développement pour finalement constater que très peu de streamers ou de spectateurs s'y intéressent. Il est même possible que les difficultés techniques empêchent le projet d'aboutir. C'est justement pour cette raison que je préfère discuter de cette idée avec la communauté et les administrateurs du serveur avant d'y investir trop de temps. Je souhaite savoir s'il existe un véritable intérêt et si les possibilités techniques justifient d'explorer davantage le projet. Au fond, je ne cherche pas à modifier ce qui fait la particularité de PSO. J'aime ce jeu tel qu'il est, et je respecte totalement les joueurs qui souhaitent préserver son expérience traditionnelle. J'aimerais simplement explorer la possibilité de proposer quelque chose de nouveau à côté, sans retirer quoi que ce soit à ce qui existe déjà. Même si ce projet ne voit finalement jamais le jour, je pense qu'il est intéressant de discuter de nouvelles idées qui pourraient permettre à des personnes ne connaissant pas encore ce merveilleux jeu de le découvrir. Encore merci d'avoir partagé ton avis ! J'apprécie sincèrement les retours, y compris les critiques, car ils me permettent de réfléchir plus attentivement au projet. ❤️
      A showcase of a mag planning program I made with Codex. Builds upon Magatama, allows the user to simply set a target mag & PB's and it calculates the most optimal path it can find. Custom mag setups can be made and saved locally. Setup state can be copy/pasted with a generated hash. Feed list can be exported as a .txt file to save for later. Can pick up where you left off between feeding sessions since you can set the exact starting mag stats and recalculate.
      Pre-loaded with preset mag setups for all the recommended max stat mags found in this guide ↙️
