People who troll are one thing, it can be annoying, it can be funny, but people who actively give new players, returning players, and old players a genuine hard time for simply no reason just makes playing on Ultima an unpleasant experience for everyone. There's just no reason for people like him to be around and be rude to people. It's been like this for a long time now, I've heard nothing but bad things about him, had no good experiences with him personally, and even in the discord the other week I was watching him attack people for virtually no reason. It just gives Ultima a bad reputation in general. He talks down to every player, takes everything personally, and targets people. I've heard from multiple people that they don't even come around anymore or talk here because of him. He doesn't own this place, the only thing he does is push people away from it. It's sad that nothing has been done about this. People come online to play an old game, with friends, presumably to get away from life for a little bit, not to get berated by a stranger. There are so many nice people on this server, he simply isn't one of them, and never was, never will be at this rate. If people like Emewn and others can be banned from the server for being disruptive or being rude, there's NO reason that the same rule wouldn't apply here. Him giving donations to the server shouldn't excuse his behaviour.

When: Saturday 5th June (afternoon UK time, yet to set an exact time, will later) Likely 4PM GMT which should make it around noon in the US (I think?) What: I keep dropping my booty pants all over episode 1 after a stellar shart! 3 players (ideally newer players without too much gear) need to go and hunt around the areas of episode 1 on normal to find my lost booty (Frames, weapons, units, techs, enemy parts and even PDs!) The areas will be cleared and on normal (to make my life easier and so new players can jump in) you just have to look in those deep dark places to find the missing booty as when I throw those booty pants they go far! You may even find a whale or two! There is even an extra prize for defeating big caves whale shared between those who fell this mighty beast! Timer is 20mins. It will be a free for all, so I’d suggest starting in different areas. (Unless you’re harpooning big old whale boy first) For the sake of fairness as this is aimed at newer players please TURN FLOOR READER OFF if you have it so it’s actually fun. Anything left unclaimed after 20 mins upon me saying start I will grab and do a little quiz or something for what’s left or maybe even just share it out. Get your whales in a row and pull those detective pants up high! How: Just reply before it starts below and I’ll pick out 3 players. I will be prioritising newer players with less gear first as there will be no DFs or STAs hidden under dragons ass If this is successful I may do it regular. It’s good bank clearing! Wilson has been a staff member of Ultima for the last 2 years now almost? Something like that. During this time he's been passive aggressive and just a bully. Why are we allowing this man to be on the Ultima staff/mod team when he harasses people all the time. He has a your right I'm wrong attitude and just straight up bully people. A lot if not all of Ultima would more then likely agree for this man to be gone. As well as his last night's incident was seriously outrageous. No staff/mod should act like that. Idc if this gets me banned for pointing it out, but dudes a fucking dick. Who has no care for respecting others. On top of what does Ultima need, Ultima doesn't need a staff member like that running around. Honestly he should be permanently removed from the server. This is my opinion. As for those who are voting they're voting for his status to be removed as a mod. If they want him gone I recommend you post your feedback below of him down here.

For as long as Wilson has been on this server, he has never not been an asshole. He's been muted, reported, and banned a few times, but is still allowed a pass. I guess being one of the biggest donors and friends with Larva makes it fine, lol.

I wouldn't really mind saber if he was just another player on ultima, or another forum troll, but like others have said, he is a mod and therefore represents the server. just in the past few months he's: - Shit on Iron sheik posting a community drop table, said it was pointless. - Shit on a congratulations post for Wavebuster landing 8 pgfs or something wild - Shit on fellow GMs quests (shiida) saying that they are poorly made and people that play them do it because its mindless - Shit on the community poll about morphos buff - Used his access as a mod to try and embarass another player over how many hours theyve logged. - Instigated multiple fights and arguments in the TA channel of the discord with members of triforce - Shit on Noudle for posting TA time he says he can easily beat but hasn't for some reason - Shit on me for suggesting a mag raising competition between me and other players That's just off the top of my head. if he wasn't a GM I would just tell him to screw off and ignore him, but that's the thing, we cant ignore him. He represents this whole server and we have to put up with his petulance and incessant bitching about anyone trying to have fun on ultima, whether it be on the forums, or in game; because God forbid we use something besides a DF, or just hunt drops... in a loot based dungeon crawling game.

From an objective standpoint, it's not good to have a moderator that actively gets involved in arguments, is dismissive and rude to portions of the playerbase he doesn't like, and talks disdainfully about the game as a whole except for one aspect that he approves of. Anyone coming here and seeing a mod shit-talking the game is going to be put off immediately. If you want to fix the staff team, this is the place to start.

As much he may deny it, being a staff member of any organization instantly puts you in a spot of representation. Nobody is asking Wilson to change his demeanor. If that's how he wishes to be, then that's fine. At best, nobody would give a shit and at worst, he'd probably get the Terror treatment. It's the fact that he's a staff member and wields some level of authority here that gets people upset. Wilson is a loose cannon and isn't afraid to speak his mind no matter how wrong he is...he has no chill when it comes to demeaning/putting people down or coming off with a holier-than-thou attitude, and is demeaning as hell. These are not and should never be qualities/attributes of a mod/GM. I vote to remove him from mod/GM position, but let him remain as a member, and then see where it goes from there. Nature will take its course.

It's true. The problem with it, is that usually when people don't care they simply don't interact, but you are constantly being noisy and intrusive towards people (and we humans don't like intrusive people by nature - which is hard for you to acknowledge a simply thing like that). You love that, you can't stay a second out of any drama. You don't lose an opportunity to stay quiet or to shut up at a minimun provocation (hence why people like to provoke you, because they know how it works). But after all, it's always everyones fault but you. And that's fine. Being an asshole is completely fine to me, i tend to like asshole people and i respect people that stay with their opinions. It's just that you sometimes don't understand "basic social interactions", which is a basic skill that you need as moderator. Imo, you did a very bad work as connecting with people and the community in general. You are always victimizing that "aww people are this and that and they are affiliated with RocketTots so they will never like me". No Wilson, alot of people don't go along with you and don't even speak with RocketTots or anyone in Triforce. Saying that someone hates you because he's a triforcer or is friends with Tots, it's the same as saying they don't have a brain to think by themselves. Why someone would have to dislike you or shit on you just because they have friends that don't like you? Instead of being a victim, you could simply think that the problem must be you, not the others. Also, you know what you say about everyone around, correct? How do you want people respect you, after everything you said about certain people? And you know it's not exclusively from triforcers. Saying this, i don't think fit as a moderator, but i must say i don't agree with this topic anyways. I don't think it was necessary, but well at least people can express themselves here, which is kinda the way ultima's community does things. You have the "energy" to make things move, but ultimately i don't think you fit as moderator or authority in this community. Ultima is not a place were the vast majority that people come attracted to play competitive. People just want to relax a bit, socialize a bit and play a bit psobb to turn off the brain after a tiresome day.

If memory serves, he actually took it personally and refused to do anything about it, instead of doing the mature thing and actually, y'know, delegating shit he doesn't want to do in the first place. But yes, the outcome was about the same. Honestly, yes. It's why I don't really play any more because why would I put effort into a server that's going nowhere? I stick around for the community, even though I still enjoy the game. It's too demoralising playing and investing in a steadily sinking ship. This, I disagree with. I don't think anyone should have to put up with slurs and abuse from someone with those issues, whereas it'd be completely unacceptable from someone without the same issues. A community shouldn't have to suffer because of one person's issues. It's not fair on them. I agree.

It might not be against rules, but it is kind of common sense that one of the parts should at least try to be respectful. Otherwise this topic will become just another drama novel going to limbo just as many other countless topics. Except that you know he have some clear mental issues, high level of autism and uses heavy drugs; remember him saying that multiple times. So I don't agree that the words from someone with autism, Alzheimer or some other kind of mental issues have the same weight as words from someone 100% sane. Telling someone in such conditions to go commit a suicide is totally unnaceptable in my opinion. Here, most of these quests specified in this topic (if not all) have been brought up to Ultima thanks to lots of conversations/negotiations with other content creators: Me, him and R-78 have been extensively at that time testing such quests and reporting bugs to Soly. Only after countless hours of testing they finally left the Test Server. Many other quests, that were otherwise only available in Japanese language, is now live on Ultima because he did know who to talk to in order to get them available here. Ultima Discord, as I said previously, was heavily revamped like two years ago and we pretty much used most of his Discord layout/organization as a base. So yeah, because most of his contribution to the server is on backend of things, doesn't mean he didn't do anything in all these years as a staff member. Since I was at the backstage for quite some time, I'm sure I know more than you about the good stuff he did. And such things as: - Ultima have less players because of the unbalanced custom items - People is leaving the server because of Triforce - Ephinea is more crowded because they embraced the vanilla aspect of the game and their staff is more democratic All of that I quoted above and much more are just logical fallacies, which doesn't always correspond to the truth; there's not a single study proving people like vanilla better, how impactful to the community is the stuff being said on shoutbox, and vice-versa. If this is just what you believe, that he is "harmful" to the community, it's okay. He probably thinks the opposite of your team. (BTW I must reiterate I don't have anything personal against anyone from Triforce and I know lots of kind people from there that I used to play with a lot in the past.) And there's nothing stop you and others from moving on and playing on a "more democratic" server, with more active staff members, balanced items, etc. But unfortunately we are stubborn and still choose to talk/play here. Even though there are technically "better" places to play PSO right now, I like the fact we still have Ultima. That's it. Well, you once suggested a really interesting stuff about lead admins right, so other GMS would have more power to give final decisions regarding the Ultima right? Larva totally ignored you, if I remember correct. And of course, who wouldn't get mad on this situation? I don't even rememebr how many times I suggested stuff (even directly at staff's channel) that were of crowd's interest and never got the proper attention. I guess I'll be the one with an unpopular opinion but at this point in time, I don't really care, I don't really like what the Ultima environment has become in the last year or so, and that makes me glad I quit being an active player for good. I know I'll be bashed by my thoughts but the recent posts, dramas and shit that happened on shoutbox stinks like some childish drama, and most of you should be ashamed for wasting so much time offending a staff member in shoutbox (regardless if he was being a nice person or not). That's not how people request things to change for better, at least not in real life.... Now the very author of this topic 11:59 PM: "Ok guys let's talk to Larva about a serious problem we have on this server, we don't agree with Wilson's attitude because of this reason, and this another reason and finally this last reason.. I think we should improve on that, and that either and finally this." 00:00 AM at the very same topic: "Hurr durr whales, memes, Wilson is a dick, asshole, Larva read this plox I beg you" How do you expect this kind of topic will go anywhere, if you can't be serious and say stuff without offending someone? People need to be cohesive when trying to express themselves. He doesn't owe us anything or is even get paid, so I'm glad for every staff member who still spends some of their precious time to please such little playerbase. And I heavily dislike with the statement from Grantz that "people don't care for TA on Ultima". I might not live the TA world like Wilson does but once in a while that kind of competition is awesome, and I'm sure some people here like challenges. Sadly this community never embraced this aspect of PSO, which you like it or not, is one of the reasons PSO still lives in 2021. There was once a time where I was really working towards becoming a staff member alongside Wilson. Not sure if anyone remembers how messy looking for specific server information and how unpleasing the Ultima Discord was a few years ago, but we as a staff really worked together towards making the official community more bearable. And most of the great ideas came from Wilson, as he had a really well organized Discord server, which served as a model for our own. Most new quests, optimizations and a few other game improvements people unfortunately don't care about, came to Ultima all thanks to him. Liking him or not, it was thanks to him that Ultima moved a little forward in the right direction in the past years. Currently it might not be a very successfull server? Perhaps... Ephinea still have a greater playerbase than us? Of course... But I believe we should all be glad that someone still cares to run a server of a such old game, and we have serious staff members that sacrifice their time to deal with all the shitstorm that happens once in a while on Ultima. We liking Larva's decisions or not, people are able to play freely here because he still cares somehow to keep the server running. TL;DR, this topic is pointless. We should like Ultima for what it is; I personally had to be part of the staff channel, live the struggle the staff members have to live and even get banned by Larva itself to understand the dynamics of Ultima. You believing it or not, what the server is currently now is the best it could be, given the conditions.

since im been off last months, but i know wilson from way back. all i can say is that if he got larva and Soly credit, its fine by me. personally never got any issues with him, regardless hes been agressive to some players, thats really bad as a GM, but i see that a few are constantly bully him too, so... better get an understanding of behavior from all sides. its a good pool to try at least got larva attention

I don't need to see the results of this poll to know where it would be going. I personally don't mind stepping down (or being removed). There's very few things I do for Ultima as a server that can't be replaced. Any knucklehead can start HH or do redeems. I will always work with Ultima when it comes to getting quests shared. Don't need to be a moderator to do that. Same for any other pieces of PSO "tech" such as a DMC patch or early walk patch. Any player can give their input when it comes to systems like DAR scaling for PSO2 drops and stuff like that. Me having a green name or not has no bearing on my ability to share things or give input on the game. I guess this is buried in the post, but I will work with Soly to make sure my name goes back to yellow and GM account closed properly. This is something that has honestly been on my mind for some time regardless of this poll. It's clear that the most vocal group of Ultima doesn't care for me. I don't gain literally anything from being a moderator and most of everything I do can be replaced and I don't need to be a moderator to do some of the stuff I do. This won't change anything about me just like getting the green name didn't. I won't be acting any "nicer". My opinions won't change. I was member of the server for like 7 years before getting it and will remain just that without it. This is a very accurate post. I've never been "nice". I don't know why that would change. We need need more GM's please there a lots of old players that can help our comunity, but definily we need active Gms only saw R-78 but definily can't stay all day because of work so would be great to ad new generations of game masters in order to get a better experience in game. that help the comunity with low gear to the new players, also fun random mini events of mags, weps, etc, minigames with reward, we need more of that, that back in times used to happen with old GM's that are gone like@blue ,@hollybass ,@Yonkou ,@dessens even@Larva used to help and play ^^ miss those times, PD: but still i feel great because they are still cool person to play on ultima latins, brazilians, frenchs and english persons this comunity is unique so please all of you be kind and help the new players and never forget to have fun Sent from my Moto G (5) using Tapatalk

Hopefully @Larva notices this post and responds. I am making this topic for the sake of the GMs, the current community and new players. There are many many topics and posts of ideas to improve the server, which could be voted on as polls etc, however this is impossible with the current level of authority R-78 (the most active GM that does 90% of everything to keep this server alive) and poor Soly who everything else falls on. We play here as we do really love the server you have created and we are all extremely thankful to you. However going forward I’m sure 99% of players here would agree that GMs need more permissions to do things like 5x exp/green names/ server improvements (EG a poll to revert the evp of mobs on ep2) without having to await a reply from you as you can’t be online often enough for any of this to happen which is understandable. We also really need someone to help Soly, R-78 and Serverus with such things. Obviously we would all love you to be more active but as you can’t I feel something needs to change here badly to keep the server alive and relevant. if you read this, thanks for atleast reading.

This isn't the first thread where things like this are discussed...but I totally agree with @Harvest that the lack of mod/GM/admin cohesion or democratic process is severely lacking which ultimately prevents ideas/suggestions on this server to move forward. I hope @Larva reads this feedback and gives it some critical thought. I can't speak for other GM's, but from what I observed, @R-78 critically reviews feedbacks/suggestions and looks at it from an overall picture, taking into consideration player engagement, balance, and how it affects the server short term and long term. She looks at the whole picture and either agrees or disagrees with suggestions with good feedback as to WHY something is a good idea or bad idea. Even when she does her regular duties in game (redeems, happy hours, etc.) she does it with complete fairness to both the player and the server. When you have someone like that on your team, shouldn't you be trusting them more that they're doing their due diligence to eliminate the noise and present ideas that would actually be improvements to increase player engagement? I mean that's the whole point...isn't it? Running a place isn't cheap (server space for game/domain/forums/manpower/etc.). You have a DT system in place which generates revenue to cover all that...but the only way it will benefit is if you have more people playing..right? Or am I missing something? EDIT: There are probably other members of the team like @Soly who do a crapton on the backend to keep things running smoothly and I apologize for not including you. I can only speak for what is front-facing.

I come back to play every so often, but when I do I want to help the server improve, and I make suggestions. And I'll spend a while thinking and testing and balancing, and make a decent length post that gets traction, and then gets shot down with literally no explanation. It's demoralising as shit. If you asked me what Ultima's real problem is, I'd say it's because it has a garbage admin team. I'm not saying the admins are garbage, but there's no cohesion. You have one admin who cares and puts a ton of effort in, but is stonewalled or ignored by Larva for most of their ideas. You have a mod that's actively antagonistic and dismissive of the game and the server. Other admins let things slide that would have people instantly permanently banned on any other platform I've seen. The rest of the admins are inactive completely, giving new players the perception that the staff dead is dead to begin with. And finally, you have a server owner who makes decisions on a whim, and doesn't seem to care about the server any more. I made the suggestion of a lead admin position, and guess what? It was fucking ignored. Why bother trying to improve the server when half the people in charge literally don't care?

There's multiple reasons for this. For starters, that's when the most OP drop of the year happens. When many people who think that one item is their ticket for being the only way to actually accomplish anything on the server due to enemy buffs, or their ticket to sell and buy all the gear they need as the price of that one item is absolutely stupid, but also understandable. Also, event drops are really the only exclusives in the game that just completely outclass vanilla weapons (for the most part) so people ofc, will hop on to farm for them so that they can (yet again) be capable of farming buffed enemies. So it makes sense people hop on at these times of the year for a make-a-wish. This one's pretty simple I feel. People got bored. They more than likely feel like they've farmed everything already. It also doesn't help everytime people log in, every damn room is locked. Don't worry, they'll be back.. eventually. There are so many good ideas in that topic, however Soly is a one man army, what can you expect him to do honestly. Hire Development/Staff, ez clap And again, we're back to the buffed enemies. Imagine, you start up Ultima, you hop in, you play a little and then suddenly you get power leveled like someone injected you with with the PSO's most powerful steroids. You make it to level 100+ but then you quickly realize, you haven't fed your mag in god knows how long, and the only items you've managed to acquire was a DB saber and that guy who inserted 100kg of sugar in your veins suddenly vanishes. Now, you try ultimate on your own for the first time and can't even hit the enemy, and then just get blasted by a Bartle. You shamelessly have to keep asking people for help just so you can complete dragon on ultimate mode. TL:DR: Bartle too stronk, finna get whacked (It's primarily a joke) I know that only ep2 Ultimate mobs are buffed. And you need to let the low levels learn the mechanics of the game and enjoy the lower levels before you just fingerblast them into ultimate mode with no gear. Yup, hard agree. I kinda disagree here. It doesn't feel dead to me, it just feels like it could be more alive. As long as Ultima still has this amazing community, I personally don't think it will die anytime soon. Well, we can start by adding an actual development team instead of just throwing Soly at everything. Like here Soly, just do almost all the coding and development for a 20 year old game while maintaining an actual life. Maybe then will all the server ideas get implemented. Ofc, after everything that's broken gets fixed first *cough* DMC What it really needs is for @777 and @Prosock to stop farting everywhere, like jeez, you guys fuckin stimk. Aaaand not as many locked games and no DMC and a shit ton of love. That wraps that up for me

That's why I am stating let's make things better by creating real differences between classes. Toss Smartlink out nerf hunter ATA and buff FO techs across the board. Nerf the ATP on Rangers as well. Ultima could easily improve upon the base game as it was and remains unbalanced. Imagine your build and class really mattering lol.
