Ahhh, after some proper google-fuing, I see Raptr is a lazy-man's approach to game settings tweaking and global setup for AMD users. Bah, the laziness is astounding these days. *sigh* I never worry about that stuff and if necessary I only tweak in-game settings. Using a third-party program to handle all that stuff is just asking for problems IMHO. Some of you youngin's ain't even seen game software complexity! I used to code scripts for all kinds of short-cuts and actions for the original Counter-Strike for my keyboard setup on there for pete's sake back in the late 90s! I cut my teeth on Doom I & II, along with Quake and the options they had in-game for the graphics was pretty detailed, it makes me appreciate tweaking my game settings, especially when the 3DFX cards, their unique drivers and options they used in-game that really made Quake shine! Oh yea, GET OFF MY LAWN yer whippersnappers!

Hmmmm.... This is news to me Soly, I'm running a Sapphire(AMD) R9 280 & a AMD Athlon X4 860k on a ASUS Crossblade Ranger FM2 mobo and I've yet to have such a problem. But of course, I don't use hardly any extra AMD software save the drivers and accompanying interfaces for them, like the Catalyst Control Center.

Work on your HU and RA before you bother with a FO IMHO. Work on a stockpile of meseta for them first! They are rather expensive characters in terms of meseta as they drink fluids, particularly very costly trifluids, like koolaid on a hot summer day. Now as far as my suggestions go: RAs are arguably the best at crowd control in the game, particularly with Dark Meteor they are IMHO, the strongest class in overall sheer damage output. With the RAcast being the hardest hitter out of the bunch, there is, however the RAmar being the most accurate of them.(highest ATA) Ramarls are also very versatile with their lvl 20 techs and can do support work almost as well a FO in some cases. Another important note with the "cast" aka robot RAs is their inherent ability to detect traps, which can be quite useful in certain areas that are heavily booby-trapped. HUs are your hardest hitters for single targets, they can bring the pain on a single monster like no other, namely the HUcast with a nice Dark Flow for example. Again, like the RAmarl, the HUnewarl is a very versatile character with lvl 20 techs, along with the HUmar being a good all around versatile hunter.(well, once they get a pair of s-reds at least XD) Again, the "cast" HUs trap detection is also nice thing to have in a party. FOs are effectively your support class, although I will give a shout out to FOmarls and FOmars as being a great hybrid FO/HU/RA classes as a jack of all trades with decent ATP, but sadly they are also a master of none. Now the FOnewm/FOnewarl is also the best at being a nuker FO to my understanding, as their "ra" techs and overall bonuses, combined with some top-notch gear, make their latent FO tech abilities quite powerful. Despite being rather physically frail mind you, the FOnewm/FOnewarl when "maxed-out and geared up" has the potential to put out as much damage to a group as a RA, perhaps even with a Dark Meteor! Regardless, as you can see down in my siggy, each class has it's advantages and drawbacks, each can be fun to play in their own way IMHO! Ultimately, you must decide for yourself after perhaps playing one for a while, which is the most fun to YOU! Anywhoo, hope this helps, good luck with whatever you decide and rock on!

I haz one, with a hell special too... Due to the pretty spiffy loadout of Trigunman, it will never see action sadly. I too wish this useable by other classes, leaving it to just RAs is pretty pointless IMHO, since they can use rifles, of which my 50 hit Le Cogneur supersedes the Yaz2k's range and accuracy by far. *shrugs*

Considering I've probably got forums posts from various sites (and numerous screen names) from about as far back as 1998 or so.... Most likely most of those older forums are long gone by now, haha! Ahhh, hindsight is 20/20, but honestly, you can't change it anyway and nearly every person who was there probably hardly remembers it. So why bother I say... With that said, always choose your words wisely. May they be of nothing that you will or that others, might regret.

Seriously consider the possibility of running dual boot with a WinXP or Win 7 partition on your machine or just on a separate other hard drive all together, MAC OS is just not for gaming, period, Win OS emulation is clunky at best in the Mac OS as you have experienced already. It will certainly take some headache out of your predicament IMHO. Good luck!

That IP filter ban is quite touchy... Got hit with it a few weeks ago, but finally got out of the IP range after a reboot or two. If you get hit with it folks, reboot modem, reboot computer until you are back in on the server, the end.

Man, go Kajex go! I can echo every sentiment with Triforcer. As best I have tried with all the gear I could find for him, he's still at best a barely tolerable FO, a lousy psuedo HU and a rather pathetic wanna-be RA. A battle FO, but a rather pathetic one in ultimate none the less. At least when Godric's Cloak was working, I hit a LITTLE better... *sigh* Thank God I kept his old Aura Field in case something like this happened... Please Larva, fix this at your earliest convenience man, thanks in advance sir!

Yep anyone who's been on the server at least a few years probably already has one, I know I do. Sadly, it's more of a novelty weapon that something truly useful IMHO, due to the fact it's listed as a mechgun, but it has no combo, which totally defeats it's usefulness as a "mechgun".

Yea, the Le Cogneur rifle is a real sleeper weapon with a special and hit, good call on that special Cycy! It even matches my fancy duds on Trigunman, hehe! It ended up being even more accurate (read: more overall hit) than my 50 hit Hell Rifle after adding the additional 50 hit!
