As per your first two points, I was in that boat just the other day. Until a bud suggested I get my hands on a Banana Cannon, a unique item to this server. Boy let me tell you... get a Banana Cannon. Why? Cuz it's not combo locked, it has rifle range, has the horizontal lock-on capacity of nearly a Yasminkov 7000V, and each shot fired can hit up to 10 (!!!) enemies at a time in a massive AoE. The special attack is max tier Blizzard (freezing enemies lowers EVP by 35%! So this gun reliably boosts FULL PARTY ATA when used right), and with a V501 to give ups to special attack triggers, you can definitely freeze even ultimate mobs, though it may take a few shots to do so, you'll be freezing at a higher rate than Rabarta 30. Add in the fact that Rabarta spells have a freeze tolerance build up and enemies can resist getting frozen by repeated Rabarta casts, and, well, just get one of these guns. It will change your life, seriously. Get a DEX mag, v101 (heavenly/battle with extra stats), v501 to make its freeze trigger more, a SMARTLINK to make up for non-RA ranged attacks, and whatever else you want to tack on I guess. It will help you level up tremendously. The Banana Cannon is a FO ONLY gun. Consider that you're probably just gonna spam Rafoie and Rabarta all day anyway... this gun lets you do that without needing to rely on Fluids, and you can simply rely on TP to cast Resta S/D J/Z. There ARE a few times, in Ultima quests with 30 enemies at a time, that maybe tossing out a Rabarta first or a Rafoie (to drop Gees or Canabin or Canadines to the ground) will be in your interest, too. Or a Gifoie to clear traps if you're using a trap/search. And, that last bit? Yes. Yes yes yes yes yes, Lord Almighty, all the yes. Put Burning Rangers in everything at all times. Even real life.

If you're feeling like Caves 2 is causing the issue, you could do worse to trouble-shoot than do government quests until you're at Caves 2. At which point you could instantly start in caves 2 and figure out if it's merely a natural Ping timeout (for whatever billion reasons may be causing that) or if it is in fact texture corruption causing a d/c. o3o

Here's a question for you... you say ultimate is hard, but are you playing solo in MULTIPLAYER mode, by yourself? Or are you setting the game type to Solo mode when creating a team in the lobby? Enemy stats are much tougher if you do not set yourself to Solo mode, as it's intended for multiple players to be chewing on them, not just you. Minor issue, but you might prefer doing that for a bit. Mobs give slightly less EXP I think, but you won't take forever to actually get kills this way, and thereby increase your drop rates, too. Oh and gear-wise, especially if you intend on following other's advice of doing PGF hunts in Ulti RT... you want a Frozen Shooter. Seriously, there are not many weapons quite as beneficial to an entire team as a Frozen Shooter or a Snow Queen if you prefer the upgraded one. A God or Heavenly/Battle will allow you to easily Weak->Special, two hit combo, don't bother triple shotting your combos with one unless mobs are moving toward you and you'll be able to hit multiples without moving. Though if you have enough ATA, you can just start with special attacks as the freeze bomb bullet has unique accuracy mechanics but sometimes that quick weak hit is needed to stun into a freeze bullet and not get hit yourself. I'm still pretty weak on my 140~ RAcast in ulti ruins but with a decent hit% Frozen Shooter, I can lock down entire rooms of Indi Belra by relying on one or two shots to just keep them locked down. Since you're not a 'Cast, a Spread Needle won't do you as much good as an Arrest Needle, but you will need a Proof of Sonic Team to boost a Spread into an Arrest Needle, and that's an Easter seasonal drop on this server, if you want to hunt it yourself. If solo, starting with a Frozen Shooter freeze to put an ice block right in front of you will make most enemies try to walk in large circles around the frozen enemy. In that time, quick-switch weapons weapons to your Needle and start blasting special attacks into them. Frozen mobs have a massive evasion penalty inflicted on them, so your needles themselves will almost never miss, giving you a tremendous chance to mass-paralyze lockdown things coming your way as that first frozen mob sits there preventing his buddies from getting close to you. I can hook you up with a frozen shooter if you want for free. It's not a very good one but if you want one, I gots plenty to spare. It's a 100% freeze chance if the bullet hits, and it's VERY accurate even w/o hit%. Second edit!: Oh yeah, if you want to gamble you should definitely try to get yourself a Hell Laser from the solo episode 4 quest "The Restless Lion." You have to create a team in solo mode to do the quest, and uh, it's kind of obnoxious w/o a frozen shooter or high level rabarta on a FO, as the hunter enemies you have to fight enter like, a 20-second long state of invincibility after taking damage. If you freeze them, they have no i-frames and can be killed instantly. Throughout this quest, you will fight other hunter NPCs. DO NOT CAST RESTA WHEN FIGHTING THEM, IT WILL HEAL THEM EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE ENEMIES. USE 'MATES TO HEAL ONLY. The first hunter is a solo HUmar with a Gladius in a dark room, he will spawn as you hit the light switch. The second set is a RAcast and a FOmar. After clearing the room, check the RAcast's body and take his weapon. It will ALWAYS be a tier 5 rifle with a max-tier special (hell, berserk, charge, gush) with MULTIPLE 50% attributes. Keep doing this until you get a 50% Hit Hell Laser. It will never NOT be useful, especially in Seabed where the machines have pathetic dark resistance and drop to megid-OHKO procs like absolute chumps.

Well, there's more than one "best" way to level. In theory, the "best" way to level is the highest exp yield:hour ratio you can manage through a quest based on what weapon affinity %s you have. However, I much prefer the "mentally bearable" grind method in which I don't get burnt out of the game. Unfortunately, I did not heed that advice and haven't logged in for a few weeks after a mega grind-a-thon on 4 different characters. The methods I enjoyed most was doing Ultima Quest Forrest Offensive. It's a 3-room long romp through Forest 2 jam packed with enemies and a dragon fight at the end. Remember that enemies from Forest -> Ruins only give roughly 20% more exp per kill, although ruins does have more "large" monsters worth more exp than the forest. This quest, however, is flooded to the brim with Mothnests and subsequent Mothverts galore. Since you're a HUcast, Freeze traps and a sword or partisan-type would be ideal to sweep them up. It's short, sweet, and yields a decent chunk of materials at a decent rate. That's my personal suggestion.

Silly as it may seem, that's only your brain trying to rationalize things to keep you sane. The fact it happened a single level above where you were before seems too bizarre to write off as "just a silly thing." What it means, I have no clue. But to say it means nothing would be sillier, IMO.

what is your character class and section ID that you are doing this on

Oh really, is there some kind of special reward that's a luck mat guarantee or something? I've just been doing skyly normal ship on story 6-1. Not aware of any other specific methods in a quest. o3o;;;

Might I ask where you are farming luck mats that requires actual prep?

GirlLady my RAmarl, I think she would just like to go to a bar and get a few shots. Then go to the shooting range while drunk and fire OFF a few shots. I have this feeling like she would be the type of person who is more accurate when drunk than sober.
