Add the PSOBB root folder as an exception to your antivirus, or turn it off while patching. In the worst case, ask a friend that has the latest version to send you the itemtextureep4.afs through mail or something. Then manually replace it in your data folder. I doubt this is the only way though.

Another idea, some kind of achievement system like many games have, for example : Trophy: Childhood destroyer : Kill 5000 booma's Trophy: Wizard mastery : Get all your techniques to the max level (humans only) Trophy: Tricky : Use 2000 traps on your cast Trophy: Babysit : Raise a mag from level 5 to 200 on one character ... We could make it monitor-able on a web page and maybe even give points for each achievements which could be used to get ingame rewards. Ofc we must still keep the client limits in consideration.

A personal project was to add consumable items ingame with a 'use' option which would give you a lvl 10 shifta/deband buff. Now I got very close to it, but came to a dead end cause of the client limitations. I got as close as to get the buff animation and red flashing buff color on your character but it's not giving the buff... Also been working on the new homepage in general, you can see it in the server development section. Also got a working highscore table that show the players with the highest level of the server. But it's gonna be released together with the prestige thing. In this game you often get close to something after working alot for it, and then hit the limits which prevents you from finishing it. Pretty discouraging... There are still more things I'm working on, but I can't reveal it all, can I? xD

It's being used by GMs since there is still a vulnerability in it. And not 100% is we should release it with 2 accounts. People will be able to sell their characters, or transfer from a hacked account. There are several other projects we're working on still. So I'm not saying it won't ever come out, but as long as that bug is in it, I'm not gonna release it.

Hmm it is possible that your antivirus silently removes it while it patches. The game is old and the way it patches can be detected as suspicious. I suggest you add the PSO root folder as an exception, that you check your garbage bin and restore the deleted files. Run online.exe as an administrator and never move the exe files from their location. They must be next the DATA folder. You can make a shortcut to them if you want.

Yes, there was an idea to create a ultima team on PSO2 when it comes out in the west. Also asked Larva if a PSO2 section on the forum could be made.
