    Well today it finally occurred to me how poorly designed my computer is. My graphics card randomly overheated and shut down. This was probably due to the fact that the wireless card I bought for it only has one slot; directly in front of the fan for my graphics card which really blocked airflow. What was meant to keep my graphics card cool probably ended up sucking up nothing but heat. Guess I'll have to use a wired connection like a cavewoman

      i think it is just that, my motherboards ethernet port is just slow as all fuck. the wireless card i bought can more than fully accommodate the full speed of my connection

      my old notebook is the same way. wireless is MUCH faster than wired.

      Ethernet speed depends on whether how OLD the tech is, some of the new wireless ethernet cards run 100/1000 mbit, while some of the wired ethernet cards still run at 10/100 mbit. Regardless, newer tech will generally always be faster. =^)
