Zeta Rouge
So as I was downloading the installer from YOUR website, no one else's, my antivirus stopped a Trojan.Gen.81Cloud file from getting through, along with several files. Though your disclaimer says you're not responsible for damages done to hardware or software, this drive-by attempt was from your website. Should I even bother to hope that I can enjoy some nostalgia without getting completely fucked over? Link to comment
jezbuz
Jesus dude. That's a false postive (or the hell is called) you don't have to worry about it. Do you think people would be installing and playing in this server if there was any damage to your system? Just chill and don't be rude. /topic 2 Link to comment
mudkipzjm
I've been playing here for over a year and I don't have anything wrong with my system. Don't think you have to worry about anything malicious from this place. Link to comment
Auli'i
Honestly yeah. You've never played a game where you have to let it pass through your antivirus/firewall? Because this isn't the only one, and there will be more in the future At least you know now after making a scene I guess lol Enjoy your nostalgia (it's actually a virus) 1 Link to comment
Soly
Lets put it this simple Here are the virustotal analysis of the 3 major psobb servers. I know it can be a little alarming to see so many false positives but we are not bad people. Is just how (antivirus) software is. Ultima launcher Detection ratio: 7 / 62https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/23e0895718a46340b1102db42891aadd1fdb38fbaae209cf45ab3f60be699876/analysis/client Detection ratio: 10 / 61https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/2452a0837f36425d5eb70efc104b326532fee5f09586d03558b9c1f827ed4169/analysis/library Detection ratio: 1 / 61https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/7bffd54a860982308c250c9094ee7f1aff3cb9e41a71610777cc06f9211a6639/analysis/ Schthacklauncher Detection ratio: 5 / 56https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/1dd8b8b105292d94c98069c7e9586ec2edb14ba75f3a2aa173c3c13719064ea9/analysis/ client Detection ratio: 11 / 57https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/7a0d1ef2d4c7d04bb1e0e4a7c7e6d59f555d17b5887dfce2322065286cd4a3d8/analysis/library Detection ratio: 2 / 57https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/131213d1737fb031acf7210a20e476158f9744738c78aa6a8c0e58555d503f87/analysis/ Ephinealauncher Detection ratio: 6 / 59https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/423feb3c6e2b6f4c0fd5c590884e1d346dfaa183055a0deede87a9c5542b52fc/analysis/client Detection ratio: 8 / 58https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/861104ee8955e0fd8238dc97cf8d72c79f6c4e0599f97deb424fc6ce0d365f1c/analysis/library Detection ratio: 21 / 57https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/54cfca82a50d976cf978ba9a1ccfe365dfa74ac1eb0ffe04011c7fed88c55fad/analysis/ So, if these false positives were any indication of how secure the files are, ours would be the most secure or "less full of viruses". But obviously that's nonsense and none of them are really harmful, at least I can say that from our own files and Ephinea. I have never used Schthack files but I heard if they detect certain strings and it will close applications you are running (which is a malware like behaviour). 2 Link to comment
TigerK
Yo, I woke up to the title of this and was like, "what!?". It's all clarified, but I'm definitely awake now haha. But dude, it's all good. Relax Link to comment

TripleR
I mean I've been playing here for around a year now and just last week mcphee decided to say this had a trojan in it. Which I responded to be calling mcphee and telling him to fuck themselves, no joke. Specifically the launcher it is not a big suprise that it gets detected as a virus due to it, in my opinion being kind of virus-like, something you that will automaticly download and change files on your computer. Not to mention infest your brain. Link to comment
Shiva
non of these 3 Server have any kind of Virus and/or malware inside. and yes, not even SchtHack, no matter how much its disliked on this server Edited March 21, 2017 by Shiva Link to comment

Not to mention infest your brain. Do not forget that it reads your data and sends it to a server in Europe for Obama (with the GCHQ) to monitor you all. Obviously that was a (very bad) joke. 1 hour ago, Shiva said: non of these 3 Server have any kind of Virus and/or malware inside. and yes, not even SchtHack, no matter how much its disliked on this server Nobody said schthack has viruses or malware, even that is disliked a lot. And I can't even confirm what I said given that I have never played there but I'd very much not like my programs being closed out of nowhere. Anyway. This was clear since I posted those virustotal analysis.@Zeta Rouge even though I know the files are clean (the Launcher and DLL are made by myself) and the client is the same Ephinea and possibly Eden and others use. I dislike having false positives showing up on my stuff, but there is little I can do, I cannot sign the executables (if it would even make a difference) and every now and then that we update the files, it will just show up new false positives. 1 Link to comment
