  1. The problem we were trying to address though was not about ninja taking drops. It was about getting people to actually play together, and not in their own locked room. I now see all the holes in my idea, and look forward to seeing other ideas.
  2. Well I have mentioned this to him before (back when it was still in the works), so I expected him to post on this thread or pm me when he saw it. I'll try reaching out to him and see if he just missed it, or if he doesn't think it's something that the server will benefit from. And I really only named it CCA+ because it was in CCA and was harder than the normal CCA | __ |. If you can think of a better name, let me know.

      Did you create the quest.lst file?

      It should include the file name of all the quests in the folder

  5. The drop rates on Ultima are already through the roof. People expect to get their drop within a week or two of hunting. I think the everyone gets the drop thing is a really good idea. I don't even think it'd be too hard to implement (just drop 4 of each item and have them each only be able to be picked up by their corresponding slot. I say this (and not to be a put-down on our great dev's) because I know schahack had half of that already. (they had items only grabable by the killer of the enemy.)

  7. Almost anything done to the client impossible to do. I kind of like the idea of a no drop day. We can then follow it by one of the holiday events to keep people interested. (or make some ticket item the only rare drop and then give it no function in the event so everyone still plays because they think it'll be useful)
  8. At this point now all I need is some play testing data. I can always just guess on what is too hard, but I won't know until I watch some videos of people playing. As midori was saying, there may be too many plants, or too far apart, or just too close.

  10. That would ruin all the surpises x,.,x I'll pit up one with the first few rooms to give a sense of what it's like. Keep the in mind thought that no one has ever played it as a party, nor in ult. So it will not be balanced at all. (Thats the point of the beta) EDIT: It may be a while in the making, I need to find some recording software.
  11. Sadly, you have to be the host of the server to allow people on that server to play it. This was for anyone who had a private test server or for larva and everyone else to get the file and decide if they will actually implement it or not (please )
  12. POWER PLANT PLIGHT So if you know me, I've probably been ranting about the quest I've been building. Well, it's now in open beta (after much cursing), and available for all to download and run. All I ask is that you give me credit for it if you decide to distribute\alter it. Post your thoughts\feedback\suggestions on the quest here.       I should qualify this, the actual designing of quests isn't that difficult. Its using the ***** software to actually make them (no offense to the designer, but your UI and documentation sucks).

  17. In addition to PSO, I've recently been playing osu!, you can see some of my (really old) videos here. I'll try and upload some new ones soon as I get the time to. Other than that I've been playing Dungeons and Dragons, attending classes, and doing homework. I too, like a lot of people here seem to be, a computer science major. That is highly enjoyable, and some of the upper level classes are getting really interesting (AI, Languages & Autonoma).

  22. I ran a quick test on my own (tethealla) server with ttf. All I had to do to get it working was copy and paste the quests into the spsos_ship\quest\battle directory, and add the names to the spsos_ship\quest\battle\quest.masm file.
  23. So I saw online some people doing quests on battle mode on the GC version, and went to go try it out. But alas, only battle simulators are available in battle mode. Would it be possible to move the quests over to battle mode as well? I think this would add a new demention of difficulty to some of the easier quests (wrath of forest) and add some flavor to the dull ones (ttf, rt).
