  5. I still highly disagree with making the mag Kaitabha, even though you were just using it as an example. It's a bad example, because it feeds really badly and using it as example suggests people should use that evolution, which is the worst of the three feeding groups for level 50 mags. It is much much better to evolve at level 50 to an ila mag with viridia skyly purple red yellow hunter dex>pow>mind for pow mags. The synchro is less important than the IQ and makes a lot of gains before 50 already, often maxing or near enough. Even though it appears kaitabha gains 2 more dex than ila, you don't have to tank the IQ while doing so and save yourself from having to constantly alternate to another food that gives it IQ but nothing for stat gains, thus actually being faster to raise dex. It is also significantly faster to raise the power and mind as well, 16 vs 11, which also gains the much more valuable IQ while doing so. If a person does want to raise synchro after, then ila still does it better because sol atomizers lose less iq and gain less def while doing so, and moon atomizers lose much more def to lower def when necessary. The ila feeding group is simply better than the kaitabha feeding group in every important aspect and feeds significantly faster, with nearly 50% more gain from dimates/difluids and ~15% more on dex gains when you factor in feeding an extra antiparalysis to regain IQ. Even the third feeding group (which usually isn't obtained at 50 because there is no dex>other stat evolutions for) which feeds similar to the kaitabha group is arguably better, because of its moon atomizer gains of +2 IQ +20 pow +5 dex, even though it doesn't have good ways to increase dex a lot. Edit: I had to make this detailed post about this because I wanted to refer someone who wanted to know how to raise a mag to this guide, but after I went to check up, I could not in good conscience do so while the section that is literally titled How to Make a Mag, which should be a good suggestion of how people could do so, contains this error of using the worst feeding group possible for part of it. I told you not to use that for several reasons; it's much slower, it tanks the iq down to nothing, and it's needlessly confusing and much more complicated for people to understand why they have to use the two different foods, especially without any visual representation of what those foods do. This is an excellent guide about mags for sure; sorry to be so critical but I still just can't refer people to the guide for 'how to make a mag' as long as that is in there.
  6. Only the regular level 50 evolution mags can keep evolving every 5 levels based on stat balance and character class+id group. Once you use a mag cell on a mag, it will never evolve again afterwards (besides certain other mag cells that can be used on them i.e. the subsequent console mag cells on console mags, ashura aka the elenor mag cell, tablet on a rukmin mag, and parts of robochao on a chao mag). Same with the Ep 2 formula mags (Sato, Nidra, Rati, etc.), they do not continue to evolve afterward, so you'll want to make sure you have all 3 of the photon blasts you want before making mag cell mags and ep 2 formula mags. This means you'll probably want to use the striker unit on your mag at 55, not 50, so that you can get the mylla&youlla 'twins' photon blast on the mag at 50 before further evolving to garuda (which gets pilla) at 55. For example, with dex>pow>mind as most likely will be by 50, give it to a viridia, skyly, purple, red, or yellow hunter at 49 to evolve to 50 for ila mag with twins pb, and then switch it over to a green, blue, pink, oran, or white hunter or force at 54 to raise to 55 and evolve into garuda mag. Also transferring mags at a level multiple of 5 is ill advised, as it may cause a bug where it looks like it evolves client side but does not server side, log off and on or go to lobby and change blocks after evolutions/transfers to be sure of what it is.

    Broken quests.

    In Beach Laughter quest in ep 2, when you talk to the Talking Rock the game freezes. It makes a confirm noise, the screen flashes white and light circles the rock and then...... nothing. Character is just stuck there staring at the constantly nodding rappy until I alt+backspace out.

  9. He does convert multiple weapons, you just have to keep talking to him. After you convert a weapon, he does say a second different set of dialogue, but if you talk to him a third time he does the first dialogue that lets you convert another enemy part.
  10. Also you must do the Government Quests from the Principles Office in multiplayer mode first, at least up to 4-1 (can be done on normal difficulty). This will unlock all all the One Player quests tiers and allow you to do the caves / mines / ruins one player quests.   11. Sure it's possible. What stats would you like? (at least 25 dex to have twins, since I have to use a pow=dex>mind evolution for a no mind one, if you aren't sure what stats I can craft you a plan for a specific character class). What color would you like it to be? What first pb would you want, dolphin, healer, or snake (level 35 pb is always pilla unless you raise def, and assuming you want twins for level 50 pb)?
  12. Hmm, lots of people have said good gear already. Hylian shield boosts are 100% grants, 75% rafoie, 60% razonde +1 to tech levels and 20 mst (triforce event), and 3 seals is 25% to all ra techs (redria / skyly very hard delbiter). The Vol Opt shield in addition to 20% gi techs is +10 ata over max, a mini red ring. Solferino (forest offensive simulator prize) boosts resta range, and Striker of Chao boosts shifta/deband range. Glide Divine (sand rappy very hard all id) has double jellen/zalure range, +15 all resists and if held onto for 10 minutes restores all tp and hurts you down to 1 hp with a use option. Psycho wand is something that can be hunted, especially when they turn rare monsters on, when I hunted my first on my purple racast wasn't too high level yet and i just equipped shield of delsaber, 4 resist/devils, a general armor (nonrare armor with 20 edk) and a demon laser and demonsed mil lilies for 7 hours. It was annoying for sure, but certainly doable (none of that gear i used was really anything special). Mother Garb+ (pinkal ultimate dorphon) is usable by all forces, its grants boost is 30% but rather random as to when it works. There is also the new Godric Cloak, which when fixed will boost ata significantly for fomar, rumored to be 30 ata. The ata is a bit of an issue for fomar because monsters in ultimate are buffed on this server. However you still don't need too much hit on excalibur probably, especially if you can get your hands on a proof of sword saint. Asteron Belt is a strong partisan weapon that a fomar can use, along with a good Diska of Braveman (especially with Thirteen armor), Master Sword is very strong aoe weapon in the triforce event also but is hard to obtain. Fomar cannot use psycho ravens, those are male hu and ra only, but fomar can use Master Raven, which despite being combo locked might still be useful provided you can get a Godric's cloak. Girasole is already mentioned, it is quite good but is christmas event drop. Slicer of Fanatic (doesn't really need hit with Special>Normal>Special glitch, maybe just a little for fomar) and Bringers Rifle are great demon's options that every force should have. Highly recommended.
  13. Well, it's kind of a niche weapon. I've never really heard of anyone ever selling one, and as such it's not even on the general price guide here http://www.phantasystaronline.net/forum/index.php?/topic/10584-ultimas-official-price-guide/ . I do have a Heart of Morolian (despite that drop being broken for alot of the christmas event lol), and am willing to raise you a custom Moro mag of whatever stats and color if you like. Ra gear is a little vague, but I do also have a Frozen Shooter 30 hit, Charge Arms 45 hit, and Charge Gatlings 50 hit if you are interested.
  14. When asked to explain what is wrong with the idea of year round drops for Olga, you just repeat your statement of calling the idea dumb. Brilliant, I am totally convinced, Olga should not drop anything at all ever. /sarcasm. If you want to argue against the numbers (which do have issues) that's not arguing against the idea, that's debating specifics and semantics about the idea, but you've already dismissed the idea and called it dumb multiple times now without actually explaining why. Since you have chosen respond in this meritless way a few times now, I'm just going to label you as trolling this thread, since you have obviously did not properly read it or contribute any real criticisms of the idea in favor of utter dismissal. Good day. @OP Kaiyuss The idea have having unique weapon combiners for high tier gear drop from olga year round is a very good and highly commendable one, it's a good way to make hunting olga more meaningful and provide some goals to strive for outside of events, as well as good way to round out gear to include weapons that, as you put it "bridge the gap" between high tier event gear and mid tier gear from monsters. I don't personally agree with all the item designs or the numbers you have put forth, but the idea is a solid one that definitely deserves some praise for its execution. Using section id souls as weapon combiners is nice so that it's not impossible to find such drops from olga that also have hit on them, while making mid-range gear a more valuable hunt as well, which helps mitigate the 'if it's not the best, it sucks' syndrome that many pso players seem to ascribe to. I'll start with some general thoughts about the proposed drops. First off, I believe any new v102 / v802 / v503 would likely be a rather difficult undertaking to code and create (also v101 and heavenly/battle are 40% attack speed, not 50%). Units that do very specific things like those are probably not feasible, if even possible at all. Secondly, high grinds are actually not really a desirable thing for high powered gear. A high base atp on a weapon is affected greatly by the attribute %s, and atp variable of a weapon is affected by shifta (though usually the variable is so small as to not really matter), but grind is merely a flat addition of atp at the end that is not affected by anything at all. Also, 300 grind is entirely too much grind regardless; not even s-ranks get that high, and only a few of them even get as high as 250, most are only 150 grind, and those weapons have to start with almost no atp at all to make that amount of grind balanced. Finally there should be some consideration as to not have too much overlap with established good high tier options of gear in their respective categories. Now onto some more in depth specifics about the ideas. Sil Dragon Slayer: I do like the idea of this weapon a lot. Dragon Slayer is actually fairly strong mid-range gear already, and hunters can make good use of an unreduced freeze sword to capitalize on close combat. Although freeze traps and frozen shooter are still great freeze options overall, the hunter options like red partisan(unreduced freeze) and yamato (unreduced blizzard twin swords) aren't really that strong of an option for locking down enemies for close combat killing. Issue of grind already covered previously. Ultima Impact: While good rare shotgun types are lacking somewhat, I'm not sure if there is a good way to balance a new shotgun very well. Baranz Launcher and Charge arms are already incredibly powerful weapons for damage (don't underestimate baranz launcher, it can actually be as strong or stronger than DM with a PB chain), and also Type SH/Shot is actually not that difficult obtain to create your own custom shots (anyone that could solo ma3v2 on normal and dual client could likely obtain a dozen+ in a day). An upgrade of crush bullet for unreduced gush sounds interesting as an easier to obtain option than guld milla / gush yasminkovs, and could possibly still leave those in a nice position despite having 5 bullets on a shot, because shots are much much slower firing than mechguns. I'll have to think about this one some more though. Diska of Richman: This is one weapon I cannot really find myself agreeing with the concept of. Diska of Braveman is already an incredibly powerful weapon. Even a not fully sphered one can dish out multiple 1000s of damage. Diska of Braveman is very arguably the best slicer in the game already, and slicers are already great by hitting 5 targets, having high inherent accuracy (don't miss easily due to enemy moving), the SNS glitch making hitting very easy even for lower level players, and compatibility with smartlink. Fully Sphered (attribute %s do not affect damage charge specials on ultima server by the way, unlike spirit and berserk) and wearing the "Thirteen" armor (+30 ata, +50% weapon atp to DoB) it is absolute beast. I do not know what I would make in its stead, but DoB does not need an upgraded version. Luminare: While I do like the chrono trigger reference, I think this might fall into the overlap issue I spoke of before. Tsumikiri J-Sword isn't the only weapon with the PB wave attack, and the current weapons that have it already have a nice progression. TJS is the strongest and is a year round drop, but is very difficult and strictly hunter only. Master Sword is restricted to triforce event, slightly easier to get (though very difficult) and even though is slightly weaker than tjs, is balanced around being usable by all characters except fonewearl (QQ), and the other weapon with this special is the Berdysh which is a fairly strong partisan and is a 1/2 drop from pinkal ep 2 hildetorr, but its very easy obtainability is counterbalanced by being restricted to android hunters only. I don't think another pb wave special weapon is warranted. It could be squeezed in between berdysh and master sword in terms of power/usefulness, but I really don't think it is necessary. Over 9000: Not sure what to think about this one really. On the one hand pierce is usually not a very useful attribute because enemies tend to cluster in groups rather than in a line, but the rifles could use some love too. If I was going to go for the pierce idea, I would suggest instead using the Visk-235W to upgrade into the Farsight XR-20 railgun (since visk already reminds me of that gun) with a special that could pierce both enemies and walls. Maybe not exactly like a dm pierce special though, but more like frozen shooter sized bullet that pierces. Del Scar: I highly agree that daggers need some love. The daggers are almost all atrociously bad except for a few like daylight scar. But therein also lies an issue that if these were also berserk the overlap would not be very good, as daylight scar is a very good weapon already and we probably don't need something that functions exactly like it. If it weren't as good I would consider something like that, like perhaps there could be daggers that are slighty better (since it would be more difficult to obtain in comparison) than two kamui in damage and slightly higher zalure as well, maybe at lvl 10 instead of lvl 5. This might play more off the concept of the "Del" virus affecting the enemies and causing them to take more damage, or maybe using the Del virus to increase your own damage, an sred's blade unlocked for rangers would be nice, though also at a very low level of shifta, maybe 5, or randomly between lvl 3-6 or something like that. L&K15 Victory: Do we really need more mechguns? Is there really some role that is unfulfilled already or could be bridged better? L&K14 can already be fairly decent on its own, MA60 Vise can be very good as well, and Last Swan and Master Raven are obtainable fairly easily, and charge gatlings 50 hit can be found in the shop. The mid range options are pretty popular with Mille Marteux, Rage de Feu and Dual Bird also being moderately easy to obtain, and the strong high class options of yas9000 specials and psycho ravens are already some of the best weapons of all types in the game. There is very little place to put in new mechguns, aside from hunewearl being left out of dual bird usage. While I would like to see some Psycho Swans for hunewearl in the future (preferably ones that retain the handgun type/animation/range but with 3 bullets per attack like Last Swan), I'm not entirely sure where to fit in another pair of mechguns. If there was a new mechgun from soul of purplenum though, I would probably think about ones that were a somewhat stronger/better MA60 Vise with either berserk or charge (to be a little more slightly better than charge vulcans than MA60 Vise is, which only has 15 ata and 15-25 atp over a vulcans 12 ata and 5-20 atp), or maybe a devil/demon mechgun type (difficult to get otherwise) with relatively low stats and a moderately higher drop rate than other olga drops to compensate for how good of a weapon demon mechs are. Rico's Frame: While Rico does deserve a frame (3 different shields, red ring, rico's earring, rico's glasses, but no armor?), there are a lot of good armors around now, and giving Stats would not be the path I'd take with the idea of a new armor, especially not ata since Kroe's Sweater already fills that position. A more utility minded approach might fit into the current landscape of armor choices better, perhaps an armor with built in pb/increase or cure/all or trap/search or smartlink, something that gives different advantages than current options so you have to decide between what boost is the most useful for you for the type of farming you are currently doing. Well that went on for awhile. I know I have a tendency to make longwinded posts, so I'd like to say thank you for anyone that did take the time to read through all my random thoughts about it.

  19. Psycho Raven(PR) is an upgrade to Master Raven(MR). It requires Master Raven (only obtainable in Black Paper Deal 2 on normal and hard, so it comes without stats), and a Psycho Black Crystal, which is a Summer Event Item, and requires 200 ata to combine them (equip MR, use Crystal on it). Psycho Raven is a Mechgun type (unlike Master Raven, which has Handgun range/animation but fires 3 bullets per attack). It does combo (unlike MR) and is usable only by Male Hunters and Rangers, (Hucast, Humar, Racast, Ramar). Stats are Atp +485, Def +5, Ata +50, Evp +5, Luck +5, up to +80 grind, and I think requires 200 ata to wield. Special attack fires a single shot that pierces enemies in a line, generally considered to be not very useful. Most people prefer to sphere 3 attribute %s onto PR (i.e. 100 100 0 100 | 0) rather than have Hit on them, Hit on PR is mostly used for Battle Mode. High attribute %s on PR increase the damage very significantly and increase its value dramatically. Edit: Without stats, a PR or Black Crystal can run 120-150+ photon drops(pds), sometimes more depending on fluctuations. Since MR does not drop with stats, every extra 30% on it was likely added with a photon sphere(which cost 99 pd each) or by donation tickets(less likely), so one with 3 100%s would have an extra 10+ photon spheres sunk into the weapon. 100 attribute PR will dish out massive damage and can combo kill most enemies.
  20. To elaborate on this, the reductions stack multiplicatively and not additively. Just mg+ would give you 100%cost x 0.5 = 50%cost, but with mg+ and pwand it would be 100% x 0.5 x 0.5 = 25%cost. Adding in 1 adept would make it 100% x 0.5 x 0.5 x 0.75 = 18.75% cost, 2 adepts ~14% cost, 3 adepts ~10.5% cost, and 4 adepts 7.91% cost. In practice, the 2nd 3rd and 4th adepts don't actually add very much reduction, you could squeeze at most 5 less tp off of grants, and even less on other tech, maybe only 2-3 off. It's not really worth it to stack adepts, since with mg+ and pwand, the ra spells only cost like 10-11 tp already. One thing to note though is that if you drop below the base amount of tp required for the tech, you will NOT be able to cast it, i.e. even though most spells cost only 10-11 tp with mg+ and pwand, if you fall below ~40 they will darken on your hotkey bar and not be usable.
