  1. Yea, takes a whole 2 hits to kill with s-rank, very underpower
  2. If people want to wrap in other colors besides the default white/pink, I have all of the colors unlocked on some characters to do that for ya. You can get more colors using this guide, though I can also wrap all 9 colors for you to unlock them yourself as well if you want
  3. @Kotta here is an example vid from ndw showing you can do it with weapon recovery and with emotes. You can also do it if you resta immediately after switching weapons, but that timing is hard to hit. Weapon recovery is usually the easiest, can be attacking like normal with a weapon and just between combos queue a resta, makes for very natural way to weave it into normal play.
  4. Having resta on your quickmenu allows you to cast self heal only, for playing with df players. simply queue resta while having dropped targets (i.e. in weapon recovery or while knocked down), and you won't target anyone but yourself when you actually cast it. I find trimates and trifluids to also be essential binds to have in tough quests, sometimes you don't have time for resta, or have to refill tp from meri scream to continue stunning them with techs because your team can't/won't freeze them.

I could use like 12 if you still got that many
  6. For fun, here's the VR Temple Transmission Data and Rico Capsule script regarding rappies : Rico Capsule "Rag Rappies are cowards, but they like to attack straight on. When an Rag Rappy falls down, it may still be alive. So be careful." (in ultimate, it will say El Rappy instead of Rag Rappy) VR Temple Transmission Data Rag Rappy "Rag Rappy, native creature, lives on the surface of Ragol." "Timid, but aggressive when defending its territory..." Something's been cut off. ...this is weird. "Don't assume you've killed them when they fall." They have a tendency to play dead when they're hurt. ??? Rappy It looks like there's a gap in the Rag Rappy data. Oh, here it comes. "Happiness will come to those who find it." ??? What does that mean? I've heard that there's a really rare type of Rappy out there. I wonder if that's what they're talking about... In Field Data 9 Elly also makes mention of the 'Bird of Happiness', though she doesn't really say anything about it. Data 9 The architect who designed the Temple area is a woman, you know. I got to know her pretty well too. Very strange... Oh, no, no. Umm. She wasn't strange. She was just a very interesting person. She even put up a statue of Principal Tyrell... I don't know why... Maybe she just liked it. She modeled the Temple after the ancient Temple of our home world. Maybe she just likes relics. Huh? Bird of Happiness? What? ... Oh! Sorry! I didn't mean to confuse you. So, that's what the Temple area is like! Also you forgot one of the rappies in the game. The Rappy Mag and the ultima Love Rappy Mag, made from rappy beaks. Rappy fan, made from rappy wing, is also a kinda fun weapon to use, even if it's just objectively worse than Rainbow Baton.
  7. Accounts do not get deleted for being inactive, so you just have to use the account recovery pages to get your password back. https://www.phantasystaronline.net/forum/index.php?/account-management/account-recovery/ https://www.phantasystaronline.net/forum/index.php?/account-management/password-change/
  8. You guys do remember that this takes only 10 runs of vhard forest to get right? (it's just running gallon's plan 10x to get 20 tickets for it)
  9. Since it keeps getting mentioned, I have to reiterate that unlocked L&K38 is really not something I would ever consider, even class locked. The model might be something used, but the archetype is detrimental to the game if it's unlocked. Regular mechguns shine as a weapon because they translate all your base atp into 9 attacks (meaning that it's when you have shifta that they're powerful), whereas most other weapons only have 3 to 6 attacks. Stepping up from 9 attacks to 15 attacks is a large step up over that, and having that even as a class locked weapon still just makes it the de facto only weapon for that class because it so far outstrips the competition that there is no competition. You cannot have an unlocked lk38 at any atp value and still have any meaningful weapon balance/diversity/etc. Those classes have access to Mille Faucille and Dual Birds, which while not as strong as Psycho Ravens, have an important factor that pr does not; they have significantly more range than pr, which is the most important stat for mechguns (hence why yas9k rules the mech department). Dual Birds have 120 range, while Mille is 100 with normal/hard and 130 with the autotarget special, about half again as far as Psycho Ravens standard 85 range (handgun range is 170). Hucaseal also really doesn't lack in damage, she is still the 4th highest atp char, but with the highest ata of any hunter she is one of the most consistent at her damage, and has better long range damage (at 30 shifta hucl with angel harp and sweetheart with no nearby males will actually still have better rifle range damage than a huct with asteron striker). Even though hucl lends itself better to being aggressive, she still does much better at all other ranges over hucast, and with that extra range she'll have already killed the monster by the time hucast is in range for PR. Racaseal is a char that can feel a bit weaker at times than racast, but much like before, she is the highest ata of all casts and significantly above racast in that regard (17ata if using kroe's). She is arguably the best character for doing content that uses a lot of hell or demon and freeze traps together, while still being able to use both cast and female gear like iron faust, gratia, kroes, sweetheart, etc. We can't just make everything as strong as the strongest character (hucast) using the strongest weapons, characters have differences in their stats to emphasize differing abilities. At some point you have to ask when raw damage is "good enough" (most characters will 1-2 combo all enemies), and how to play to their other abilities to get the most out of them. There are things to buff up both of their damages like sweetheart, but because other stats are different they will not necessarily reach the exact same levels, you have to figure out where a 'comparably adequate' level is and reach that (for which 'how many attacks/combos to kill' is more useful than raw damage, where mechs almost never vary because of the overkill), and then figure out how to utilize their unique abilities to take them beyond that. Not every char will tackle solo games the same way, and in a team game they should all focus different aspects which some classes will do better than others. I do feel racl needs a little more (though mille and macho blades did help her more than people give credit for), but an unlocked lk38 does not really mesh with racl well (and for hucl it'd be extraordinarily busted), it just tries to make racl into a ract that has none of their drawbacks and all of her strengths. I'd like to give her some more versatility and team supporting options that emphasize her range and teamplay capabilities, and while her damage could still use a nudge, only just a nudge and not an atom bomb in her arsenal.
  10. With PSO, it recognizes any standard controllers that were plugged in before the game was launched, and completely disregards any that are plugged in after the game is launched. Therefore, depending on whether you want to merely supplement the standard ingame controls with some extra things using joytokey (such as the ability to use the secondary triggers), or to completely replace your controls entirely and ignore the ingame ones, you need to have your controller plugged in at different times. It sounds like you want to do the latter, and that it could be reading inputs from joytokey and the default ingame controls, so you may have to plug the controller in after the game has launched so that it ignores the ingame controls. If it's the former, then going to Menu > Options > Pad Button Config lets you change the controls of a controller (that was plugged in before the game was launched). Hope that explanation helps.
  11. Yes, that's correct. While lindcray makes use of the spirit special to do more damage, rambling may only needs the ata to hit hard attacks, which it can easily do even blank, especially with a safety heart, so it's just overall a lot better fit for fomarl's stats / animations. Also, for ROCT the resist you really need is fire. Dark attacks are dodgeable / preventable (just stun the lilys and don't walk up to ill gills), but it can be more tricky to avoid epsilon rafoie without moving it to bad positions, you generally want 40-45efr so that a force only needs 1 resta to heal up after. Sweetheart + Safety Heart can be good for tower, as can Kroe's Sweater + Agent K costume. Anti-dark ring has no fire resist, so you will get ohko by epsilons if you don't take extra precautions.
  12. I'd say Rambling May is better than Lindcray for fomarl tbh (especially after it got its grind boost way back). Fomarl has awful slow rifle animation, but crazy fast shot animation (and a unique good slicer animation too). On other classes lindcray is better, but for fomarl specifically it's flipped. While Lindcray looks more flashy on higher numbers, it's so painfully slow on fomarl, can't even SN a blank one without having extreme distance because of her poor animation speed with rifles. Sacred bow might be something to have as a rifle but more so for the grants boost to stack with her innate boost (fomarl grants is highest of all), I'd still rather use reaper or kiss of death or even s. gun hell over it for actual hell special even just for better animations. Kroe's sweater is definitely top tier female armor, but Sweetheart is a great choice too for atp boost instead of ata boost and elemental resist instead of dark resist. Besides the Agent K Costume (rico's glasses + halo rappy soul), Safety Heart is also a great shield to go for as it's lower level than red ring, better ice resist, and gives a massive ata boost to rambling may (+20ata to all wep like rr, but extra +30ata to may for +50 total) making it easy even to use the blank one you can get from doing white day + st valentine quest reward. Ultima Reaper, Sil Dragon Slayer, and Master Sword are great aoe melee weapons to use on fomarl, as is slicer of vengeance or even braveman + thirteen, banana cannon is good too in the right situations when things are especially grouped up but is weaker than those usually. Blood Tornado (bloody art + blue-black stone) could be an option to consider over Vivienne, as fomarl has a bit slower doublesaber animation than most (though her tech cast animation with it is good), since that is a dagger animation instead and a demon special (I don't quite remember how dagger tech cast animation stacks up offhand), or you can go instead for Tyrfing which is even stronger as well as better tp steal than vivi does, and has the great female Twin Sword attack animation (and also a great tech cast animation with twin sword on fomarl, it's significantly faster than most, almost as fast as fcr female wand). If you want to play to her strengths, then you should avoid Rifles and Doublesabers as they are quite slow (most other animations are at least tolerable/manageable, e.g. sword/hg are slower than most but still decently usable) , and lean on other things like her unique slicer animation with Fanatic / Kiss of Death / Slicer of Vengeance / etc., twin sword animation of Tyrfing, and her shot speed and the innate special properties of Rambling May. Honestly though, Rambling May is so good on fomarl specifically that it's almost the only weapon you'll ever need on her, handgun-range double-firing non-bullet projectiles from a high atp gun that fires that crazy fast on fomarl is very abusable. There's a lot of very fun things to use on fomarl overall, despite some of her animations being poorer than other classes she has a very wide selection of interesting items to try out. I advise trying out a lot of different things as you climb your way up and see what kinds of things you enjoy using. You can try out some easy items like Wok of Akiko's Shop or S-Berrils hands to see if you like dagger animation, or G-Assassin arm's to test out Twin Sword animations on her, or inferno bazooka (lul) for shot animation (though honestly, the quest reward rambling may isn't too hard to get just need another char that is male yourself or another helpful player). Regardless of how you choose to play her, I hope you find something to enjoy out there.
  13. Yea, she's only ever there upon returning to the boss room, same with Flowen. They are never there pre-fight. You have to beat boss and then go back in and you see their spirit basically, which waves/salutes you when you get close and dissipates into light particles.
  14. Happy Birthday frost506 !

  15. .Beat time, also known as Swatch Internet Time, was created by the Swatch company as an alternative time-telling format based on a similar french decimal time concept. The idea of it was that it does not use time-zones and is the same time all over the world, so when it's 530 beats, that is the same time everywhere with no need for converting time zones. Beat time 000 is supposed to be midnight for the gmt+1 / utc+1 time zone, with 1000 beats per day. Since PSO was meant to be a game where people of many different regions would be playing together on the same servers, with word select functionality being auto-translated into 5(?) different languages to help communication, it made sense to also have a time format that was more standardized for everyone regardless of where they were playing from. The time format never really caught on, but swatch still sells some watches (as of july 2016) that show .beat time in addition to regular time. If the 1 beat to 1min 26.4 seconds sounds weird, then perhaps it's easier to conceptualize that 100 beats = 144 minutes, giving you just under 2.5 hours to use divine punishment specials or divine protection. I like to think of the divine punishment as needing the orbiting satellite to be overhead for it to work.
  16. Ah. That's definitely one of the more interesting quests in the game. I've played through it before a few times for some testing, another source stated that the 'material' you get at the end is a tp material, so I tested that back in the day but I didn't get any material from it. I did get some funny pics of tiny racast fighting giant sinows and baranz though. It's also the quest I used to get some cinematic pics of humar vs giga dragon too. I'd have to look at the quest with my meager qedit skills to see how the attributes were done, but idk how difficult it would be to update the quest or if it should be readded at all. Perhaps the devs removed it so they could just rework it and lump it in to how attributes are added in gallon's shop, much like how TTF used to be the quest you used to trade mag cells for mags but they removed that in later versions too. Edit: After skimming the quest code, I do not see any text relating to montague speaking about enemy parts, and the only item creations I see are for making grinders and materials (I think I had received a monogrinder when I did quest way back when), and it appears to have differing % chances of which kind of grinder/material based on difficulty level, but I'm unsure if the material one is dummied out or not. However, I do not see any dummied out code related to making an enemy part weapon at all. The one interesting thing I see though is some of the reward text mentions the player wearing a red ring (appears to only show this text in ultimate difficulty from what I can glean from the code).
  17. If it was dreamcast only, then it was likely never updated for later versions of the game and the quest would have to be edited to work with blue burst even if we did find a copy of it somewhere. I am curious about the quest though, where is the documentation of its existence you mentioned? Do you remember the name of the quest or any info about it?
  18. Alternatively, MA4B route has 26 zu in crater interior, good way to get a lot in a bit longer run. Takes <5 minutes to get through it easily, and less back n forth loading time that way.

    Broken quests.

There isn't supposed to be a switch there. Putting out all the fires there is itself a trigger. To actually rescue Anna, you literally have to walk up to the locked door and speak to her from the other side, where she'll ask you to save bogarde and then unlocks the door herself to be rescued once you can reply that you already saved him.
  20. That actually raises new questions. 50hp is the base of a level 1 resta, but level 1 resta can't heal others (need lvl 3 before you get aoe), so does iq actually increase the level of resta it casts then (as in RestaLevel = (1 + (IQ / 40)) , that would make it go to level 6 and be 75hp)? I'm curious now whether low iq mags can heal other players and whether it's a tiered difference of hp healed, as it would be if it is a level increase.
  21. I believe it's intentionally part of the quest. I think the killcounter exists because it's a custom edit of the MA4 series, but it's not actually an official MA4 quest (which track your total lifetime kills across MA4A, MA4B, and MA4C in each episode). As such, there are no plans to change the killcounter to actually count toward MA4 totals.
  22. Like I said, it would probably have happened even if you didn't use those, I've seen it happen even when nobody even has any of those weapons on their character. While there could be multiple triggers, I think its just something different that makes it happen, such as using a Red Ring in the fight.
  23. I've been really enjoying this lately. The pacing is a little different, but it works in its own way. It feels like they rush through action and confrontation as fast as they can and then use all the time they saved from cutting the tension with anticlimax and put it all into world building instead, which for a world as rich and interesting as this one is makes it really engrossing for me. It's like if one punch man cut the initial side characters confrontations to all be as short as saitama's and only take up at most half the episode total for fights. They really do a lot to flesh out the world, it makes me want to watch not because I want to see the main character be badass, but because I want to see the main character interact with the world and learn more about it. It moves really quick, and feels like it's packing a lot in, but doesn't feel like it's sloppily rushing things. It's also quite good at surprising me with what it's doing / where it's going at every turn. Solid recommendation from me; if you are a fan of fantasy anime you should definitely check it out.
  24. It was related to old rumours of how to get Heathcliff Flowen or Red Ring Rico to appear in the boss rooms if you returned there after defeating boss. I don't think anyone really knows the specifics of it truthfully, but I don't think it's hitting the boss with those weapons as I've seen it happen without even having red/dark weapons on any characters in the fights. Personally, I speculate that wearing red ring can cause rico to appear in boss room though, but I'm not as sure about flowen. It's a cool little easter egg when you get to see them, they just sit/stand in the center of the room until you approach them and then wave/salute and disappear. They also both have their own unique theme songs you cannot hear anywhere else in the game, Rose Confession and Leaving Flow. Rico's theme is a really great song too.
