Your Ideal Patch

Saw this idea on another PSOBB forum(shall remain unnamed, don't ban me plz), and thought it would be cool to have go on here. It's simple, Just post what you'd think would be ideal for a patch for Ultima. It'd go something like this

-Removed the Afro hair for HUmar

-HUmar can now use Shifta/Deband 15 and RAmar can now use Jellen/Zalure 15

-Disabled Divine Punishment special

-Scape Dolls now stack

 

Yeah, you get the idea. Everyone has their own ideas on how to make the server better, but this is in no way shape or forum a server suggestion thread. This is just a creative little thread for people to flex their creative ideas for their own 'ideal' patch. Please keep the drama out of this thread, it's meant to be fun, not to have people arguing back and forth over pointless shit.

It was probably Eden or Ephinea. Idk why you wouldn't mention the names, it's not like we're the best or only PSOBB server on the block.

I guess really it all comes down to what kind of experience the owner and then by extension the community wants the server to fill. There's a different experience with each server and each one fulfills it's different niche. Patch notes are basically around to extend thoughts and answers out to the community.

In my eyes I'd honestly send all monster stats, weapon stats, and character stats back to the Dreamcast days, as in my opinion, Ver.2 PSO was the best version of PSO. But that's just me.

Im curious why you would want to remove DP. Everything else looks very interesting. I might even add, remove all combo locks from all weapons, but i'm highly doubtful it will ever happen.

Scape Dolls stacking would free up about 150 slots across all my characters I think(perhaps a bit exaggerated but still I like the idea..)

I also don't get why you'd want to put disable divine punishment?

There's a mechanic in the game known as Damage Cancelling. I don't know exactly how it works, but basically it's when two people attack at the same time, one of the damages ends up getting cancelled out. With DP attacking everything, there's lots of potential for damage cancel. 

TL;DR DP makes everything die slower playing with others, so don't use it unless you're alone.

It's more noticeable with something like mechguns. With high hit Demon Yas, stuff usually dies in one combo(excluding bosses ofc), but if someone else is attacking at the same time, it can take up to 2-3 combos. Attacking different things is always the best when playing with other people.

Stacked scapes 100%

telepipes x20 or x30 (less breaks during HH to go to the shop that might make you miss a run).

Options to turn off lobby music FOREVER (AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER). 

lobby out of non quest (will be implemented eventually so kinda wish granted)

timer on non time quests (also implemented soon wooooo)

a quest that specifically sells Trimates, Trifluids, Sol atoms, Star atoms 100% of the time in exchange for shop not selling techs

Any monster can appear anywhere (not that they will, but they can)

inventory reading pasm commands

Standardized file types with support for adding maps

Magid hits as often as a ranger with 80hit hell laser\whatever-the-rifle-yass-is

combo unlock glide divine

Spells do damage (comparable to weapons)

STA was removed

Dark Weapons combo locked

All 'low tier' items upgraded to viability

Harder monsters

Seabed enemy edk values up by 60

I don't think you could do this without half the server getting extremely pissed out(including myself tbh).

So?  Haha this is for fun.  I think removing them altogether would balance the game more.

I know haha, but there's lots of room for debate on how to properly balance the game. There's even a project on ephinea somwhere to balance out the game and a lot of it sounds overkill or un-needed. I think you could still have a decently balanced game without having to combo lock anything.

Yeah I'm aware of damage canceling...not sure really how it works exactly either... the reason I rarely use my Mille Marteaux or the special for AS during beat times as well is due to this. I do see people spamming DP all the time though to be fairly honest.

Double Experience Module - anyone having this item can activate 3 Hours of double XP for their own team members.

Rare Drop Module - anyone having this item can activate 3 Hours of HH for their own team members.

Anyone joining a room made by this specific team would benefit from these boosts.

- Completion of certain series of quests gives points to yourself.

- Casino Lobby where you can spend certain points to earn random items.

- Random Emergency Quests system that gives you triple Exp by completing it.

- Reset system for characters (something like we can see on Eden), that gives you ability to reset your character level 2 times. Each time you reset get a different permanent boost, and decrease Exp rate. After reaching level 200 on 2nd reset you earn a super rare weapon depending on your class.

There are so many things, so many ideas in our minds, who knows if someone will like/will be able to code them xD

Some of these ideas would be awesome...not sure how they would be implemented but it could work no? Although buying PCs or PDs for meseta would probably ... only serve to break the economy even further...aside from that some interesting ideas.

Spells dealing more damage would make FO's so broken....quite disturbing given how exceptional they can become with all high-end/end game gear and level 200+ spells etc combo. While in some areas in spells might deal little to no dps...even a few 100 dps per hit in insane range + always hits and AoE will eventually kill all non such mobs from a safe distance enough said?...

I like the idea of any monster randomly having a chance to spawn anywhere mixes it up...makes things interesting

Remove Sta hope thats a joke though 

Same for combo locked Dark weapons...both of these couldn't be accomplished without upsetting 75% or more of the community for sure.
