Solo end boss tactics help and experiences

Hi all : ) gonna put this at the start as to avoid all the comments that may appear later , I know this is a team based game i.e 4 people working together which I do enjoy as well : ) but i do enjoy the the challenge and rewards of soloing (no arguments about drops) so I'm after some advice about the end bosses. Currently I can do ep4 ok with my ramar but not my hucast also I don't have dark weapons and It takes forever to get shambertin to stop so I can attack his tail with my cast . I assume they can be soloed without dark weapons or major dts investment , so I'm just after people's experiences and what level they were and a brief gear load out when they could 1st solo end bosses (falz, flow and the ep 4 dragons) and the last thing I don't have a force only hu and ra but force info would be nice to aswell for future reference my ramar was lv194 and I mainly used my Mille marteux to kill shambertin ,yet to kill olga or falz

well as hunter is hard to face shambertin or ep 4 bosses, u need a psycho ravens (whit dark %, i know its expenseive to get those things whit % but it helps a lot) to kill the spiners and u need a sword to destroy shambertin's tail, try to use a sword that has dark on it to kill his tail, like a zanba or red sword, also u need a zalure weapon to debuff him if u are android. after that use a psycho ravens again to kill those things on his neck (and u need to debuff those things to kill fast), but well whit hunter is very hard to face those ep 4 bosses. i believe that whit force is the easiest way to kill ep 4 bosses.

At the beginning of the boss fight, don't run straight for the big orb - run around to its back before going close. The red/orange spinners will spawn there first so you have a much better chance hitting them. It can make a big difference in this annoying fight.

Here's a pretty effective way for HUcast with no dark weapons or uber stuff . Even a psycho Raven without dark % will be good enough it'll just take longer , if your mag has the twins photon blast use it to buff yourself . When you get to the tail phase , you want to destroy all scales at the same time so he doesn't go back into hiding , a good way to do this is to use a rainbow baton (trust me it works) do restless lion for a slicer with 50 dark and 50 hit and you're set , it actually does decent damage on ep 4 end bosses . So yeah use one of those to destroy all scales together . It's faster than breaking on at a time plus good accuracy. I'm sure everything else from there shouldn't be a problem .

If you're fighting olga flow a zalure weapon is really recommended , his dfp is through the roof in his second phase .

For his first form you can use a charge raygun with good hit . And a mech gun for when he's close up .

For second phase if you can't finish him fast like dark weapon users , get your hits in and right when he starts walking take out his mags ( the two floating creatures ) if you do this when he starts walking they won't revive until he's finished attacking , without them he's weakened . But yeah just keep taking them out when he starts walking , of course while they're immobilized you attack olga flow .

Maybe others have other methods (without uber weapons) but this is mine :)

Dark weapons aren't actually all that useful on them imo unless you are without any kind of buff/debuff (twins pb and s-rank with zalure can give 21 of each). DM on falz dragon form can spawnkill the spinners from his mouth. I mostly prefer using Iron Faust (falz dragon form spinner killing, saint/shamby/kondy crystals for better targeting/garaunteed aoe) over dm, though ramar can't use faust. Psycho Ravens are quite good for all the bosses. I highly recommend getting a s-rank with zalure to help out since you mentioned ramar and hucast.

Dark Falz isn't too difficult to solo per se, but he has a lot of hard to avoid damage, so if you are a cast then you are on a bit of a timer to beat him before running out of mates. If you can get an extremely high efr/eic setup it can be very helpful vs his rabarta/rafoie(crimson coat 10 + god's shield korryu 40 + 3 wiz/resists 45 = 95, I think that's best without an sta and still wearing battle unit). Gush weapon is recommended, not just for extra healing but also to be able to damage falz in last form while he is shinyrainbow (the hp stolen subtracts from his hp) and while he has your soul (will offset self damage or negate when rainbow since you constantly heal the damage you deal to yourself). Spinner start requires a bit of practice to dodge them all, but it is doable, just keep an itchy finger on trimate just in case. Dragon Form is fairly easy to deal with as long as you don't let spinners overwhelm you. Ball Form is most dangerous with his strong techs, but if you have some good weapons and buffs/debuffs he'll die pretty quick still, just try not to move while rabarta is being cast so as to limit being multihit, and after it does hit you, move in a straight line to dodge spinners that pop up. Last form can drag on a bit since he only has one target to soul steal and grants is unavoidable, but he's an overall straightforward fight.

Olga Flow will spawn in the same place in the elevator always, just hold forward and you will walk up to the spot. I'm a big fan of using charge yasminkovs on first form, though dm, psycho ravens heaven striker, iron faust, and cannon rouge can all be used well. Melee weapons can hit him when he flies close to the platform, but a hunter will need guns/slicers for most of the fight. If he doesn't die fast, then avoiding his moves isn't too much hassle, staying close lets his dm shots go over you usually, don't stand directly in front of his sword arm to avoid the stab, and stay on outside of arena for most other moves. Second form starts when you touch the ball of light, and he generally always does the same starting pattern (walk>dfwave>divinepunishment). If he is attacked before he turns his head, he does early maxpower divine punishment. If you ran straight for the ball of light you will be on his side, he will probably walk towards you and then over you, while gael & gil stay more to the center. When he walks over you is a good time to shoot at gael & gil, you'll definitely want to kill at least one of them so dp can't ohko you. After he walks over you, he will do df wave (difficult to avoid, you have to get behind him and he can take some big steps), and then a short pause before divine punishment. It is possible to kill him before he does df wave solo, most will probably kill him just after the divine punishment though (he can't be hit while launching divine punishment).
If the fight is going to last longer, be sure to periodically kill one of gael & gil, as if they come to life above you just before he does dp, it can be quite difficult to hit them as they circle over your head. If Olga turns transparent red and turns you into Flowen, then you must hit olga flow with his weakness, or else he will reflect damage onto you. His attribute is listed as ???? because he actually changes his attribute and tech weakness periodically; I don't know if there is any pattern or relationship between attribute/resists. If you hit him with his weakness, he turns darker momentarily and lets out a yell, and doesn't reflect damage back onto you. 3stat psycho ravens are nice to have a good chance to damage him in this form (and if they don't, then you know exactly what attribute on a weapon you need). All in all, most of his attacks are completely avoidable (df wave can be tricky sometimes), and while he can be annoying if you don't have different gear to cover every %, getting to that point in the fight is a slow kill anyway.

SaintMilion/Shambertin/Kondrieu is very easy to solo with a Force, Hunter is the most difficult class for him. I started soloing him when I was about level 120 on my fonewearl with a psycho wand and hylian shield, with the help of some heavenly/hp units and many backup scapes. You'll want at least 1300-1500+ hp to be safe about not getting ohko by double spinner hit or being rammed by him. Dodging spinners is doable, you can see where they will pop up slightly before they do by looking at the shadows on the ground or the minimap, and with some practice you can learn how to move outside their range; there will also be less of them overall as a single person than with multiple players (grouping up with multiple people makes crazy amounts of spinners spawn). To get him to put his tail up, you have to do enough damage to a colored spinner. They have pretty high defense, so you will want to zalure them if you can, and psycho ravens with dark% are quite helpful to do damage to them. Preferably you want to attack the Red spinner, though the Orange one can be sufficient. Do not go for the Yellow spinner. The color of the spinner determines how long he will put his tail up for, and with the yellow it's so short you can barely even get to him, let alone attack; orange can give you plenty of time on a strong char to kill all the tail crystals if he's not too far away, and the red one will last the longest by far. Grants will do a lot of damage to spinners, making Saint or Kondy put his tail up with only 2 hylian shield grants, though Shambertin has a lot more hp and takes many more. The tail crystals can die in 3-4 grants depending on setup (with maxed fonewearl hylian&mercurius&mothergarb+, will kill in 3 grants if mg+ boost happens at least one time), though it is faster to run up and use ra techs if he isn't ungodly far away. The different bosses are always weak to grants but have different other elemental weaknesses. Spinners are: Saint Milion - Foie?, Shambertin - Zonde, Kondrieu - Barta?; Tail crystals are: Saint Milion - Zonde, Shambertin - Barta, Kondrieu - Foie; Neck Crystals are Saint Milion - Barta, Shambertin - Zonde, Kondrieu - Barta (I don't usually use elemental techs on spinners in favor of grants so I could have saint/kondy backwards). I usually just grants the spinners, though if you have two forces with high level techboost gear and have them spam the correct tech, they can take out wide swaths of spinners very well, solo you will usually get hit before you kill them. Elemental techs can also help if you can't get in a good position to target the colored spinner with grants because of other spinners blocking you.
The second phase of the fight makes him run between one of the outer caves and the center of the arena whenever a crystal is broken. His most dangerous move can be his trollnados; he likes to spam many of these in succession sometimes, and they do set damage, so if you have over 1600 hp for saint milion, or 16xx for shambertin/kondrieu (I think 1620 can still survive but 1650 won't iirc), then you won't get multihit and die nearly instantly; legitimately wearing a no0b/hp to lower your hp can be helpful here for some classes. Sometimes they can be avoided by hugging the walls of the caves. He can also shoot missiles, which are easy to juke past but will follow you quite a distance and can do a lot of damage (like 1k). The spinners will periodically pop up, and they can be much harder to avoid and kill in this phase, as you will be facing the boss while they come up behind you. His face poke should pretty much never hit you, and it doesn't really do much damage anyway. Finally he has his laser breath, this will do a good chunk of damage and knock you down, a force can resta dodge it with good timing practice though. His other laser move in the middle of the arena, with the cutscene showing him roaring and raining it down from the sky, this laser will do more damage the closer you are to the center green stone-egg-meteor-thingy; also he can be targeted and hit with grants while he is roaring in the cutscene.
Ideally you want to be able to attack all of his neck crystals at once to minimize how much he runs, as the arena is quite large and it is very possible to spend more time running than actually fighting. Hunter will have a hard time of hitting them all, a slicer weapon can do so though. Rangers have many good aoe ranged weapons for this like iron faust, baranz launcher, dm, charge arms, etc. A force should stand right up on him and spam rabarta or razonde. Note that when he rears back his head, it is possible to sometimes only hit the first 2 crystals, so any class should try to avoid attacking if he is rearing back. This is the phase where I often like to do a Estla Dolphin PB on him with full 120% synchro; it can reach from near the entrance to the outer caves to hit him, and does around 3300 damage to each crystal with only a single dolphin. A pb chain with the other person having 0% synchro will still double the damage, around 6700+ damage. Shambertin's neck crystals have about 8000 hp in my estimate (6700 pb damage + three attacks of 500 damage will break them). Once all 4 crystals hp are depleted, 3 of the crystals appear broken but the 4th will instantly respawn with some more hp which will need to be depleted to finish the fight. Once at least one crystal breaks, he will finish his animations, before rearing back and diving underground to head for the middle (grants can target him while he is rearing back and hit him underground still; 4 forces spamming the neck and switching to grants before he dives can actually kill him right there). In the middle he will gain the laser from the sky attack, but is probably easier than in the cave. If he only has 1 crystal left, then just run for him and kill it easily (1-2 grants can get it from long range if he was grantsed before he dove); if he has multiple crystals left, then continue to aoe him and if you break all the rest of the crystals while he is in the middle, he may pop up again in the middle instead of running to an outer cave. He should be an easy kill now, so finish him off and be sure to check the boxes that spawn afterwards for weapons, as they can often drop with very high stats, it's where I've gotten the only 100% weapon I've found along with most of my 55 hit gear from.

Good luck!

Wow guys some real top class information here : ) from what I'm learning (info still sinking in) is that I'm not as far away as I thought from soloing these big guys as I thought , and that I still need to acquire a couple of items that I hadn't thought of ,gush raygun on falz is something I would never have of thought of : 0 , my gear is actually not that bad thanks to some help from Ricardo not long ago but I still have some way to go to being top tier geared but you guys have given new ideas and ways to tackle these end game big boys/dragons all though one thing I learned while soloing with my ramar that no one has mentioned but works really well is Mille marteux divine punishment on ep 4 bosses . I soloed pod and pretty much the only weapon I found that worked (after a lot of attempts) was my mm special hitting for like 200 to 300 per hit on all available targets in area , like I would be attacking spinners and he would slide past I would switch to special and I was hitting him and the spinner for decent damage and on all the phases after it just wrecked him : 0 . I'm currently saving up/ selling to stuff to add zalure to a s-rank handgun for my hucast as he's my favourite/main char at the min but he's gonna be the hardest work to solo bosses with but with the info from here I'm a confident guy now and one of the biggest buzzes I get from this game soloing things that are hard so I'm happy you guys could all chip in with knowledge you've learned , there's still a lot of players that get carried through these fights by well geared players and just don't know much about the fight : ( stuff just dies they get xp and then argue that they called the drop so hopefully other players read all these tips and gain some knowledge like I did : )

well with all the info I got from here , I finnaly did it and I soloed shambertin in pod ult with my lv 181 hucast : ) it was an epic ( long ) battle but only 4 star atoms left and no mates he died leaving me a lonely trimate for my victory but was still worth it : ) after making this thread I went off and acquired a 50 dk 50 hit gush raygun and a triple 50 with dark rainbow baton and as advised stuck to the red spinner , my ult reaper with 40 dk and 35 hit I dropped on 1st day of Halloween event did good work and then he ran off to side cave where I switched to rainbow baton and then that was pretty much it although I never figured out how to dodge missiles I survived long enough to kill him so that's one down 2 more dragons to find and olga and falz to deal with next again ty for all contributers as the advice pretty much got me the kill : )

This topic hasn't had any new posts in a while but since I've done so many PoD runs for STA there's one tiny little snippet I'd like to add here. It will save you a few seconds each run.

In the 2nd phase where he first goes to the north-east cave, after you destroy enough neck crystals for him to move back to the big area, sometimes Shamby will instantly do this cutscene (the one where he swirls his tail around the green orb and fires that big laser). During this cutscene, you can still move your character though most people probably aren't sure which direction works. After some experimenting, I figured out that you need to move up/up-left. So just push up for about 1/4th of a second, then up-left, repeat both motions until cutscene ends. You should be roughly at the cave exit when the cutscene has ended.

Also, as Fyrewolf has pointed out, be disciplined in the cave. If you think you won't get all 4 crystals in the same attack, it is safer to simply not attack at all. Or just using Normal instead of Hard attack if accuracy might be an issue. Losing a few seconds is a lot less annoying then having to backtrack back to one of the three caves.

Well, for you guys doing PoD for Shambertin I'll add another hint. S-Beat's Blades. Easy to obtain and you can add up to 50 hit with Photon Crystals. My weapon of choice for Dorphon Eclairs and other single targets weak to hell. Unreduced hell and 6 strikes per combo, need I say more?

S-beats is a definitely a suprisingly good hell weapon for ra/hu (I've seen them do some great work with high hit), but if you are a hunter then Jizai is an even cooler hell option. It has 20 more ata on it than a s-beats does, benefits from proof of sword saint for 30 more ata each on top of that (multiple poss' can stack, but you probably will still want to wear a battle unit and v502. just think about bovn+v502+3poss though haha), has surprisingly long reach, and is strongest atp of any double-hitting weapon as well. Ultima reaper is great for groups of lizards, but both s-beats and jizai are not to be underestimated.

Got a bit of an amateur question here but is saint million only available when you run to boss threw normal mode? I've never seen him in a pod and I really don't want to have to unlock up to 9/8 in quests : ( but he's dropping some good stuff this event and would like to find how to get him : ) also how many maps are there for sea bed as I'm gonna be running that for olga when pgf is confirmed and I think for me this might be quickest as rt on my own takes awhile : (
