      House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski

      It's a book about a guy reading a book that another (blind) guy wrote that's about an imaginary (horror?) movie. Also, about the original guy's decent into insanity. Lots of footnotes and it references someone/a group of people only known as The Editors, who are not actually the editors of the book itself

      If you're going to buy it, get the full color version. Also, read The Whalestoe Letters in the appendix first. Code in some of the letters use the first letter of consecutive words for another message within the letters :3
