    dual log -> grave -> play with one character and you get extra consumables -> move second for whatever random switch
     

    Totally realistic to play challenge mode alone if someone wants, but a bit cumbersome.

    I'd recommend checking out the PSOstats page for the Vanilla game just to get a sense of what the site looks like when it's really active https://psostats.com/.

     

    In short though, everyone can pretty much see everything. Runs that are not "personal bests" or records will eventually fall out of both the home page recent games and player pages. The data generally though is available to anyone looking. The credentials are so that the app knows who to attribute runs to. It doesn't attribute xyz character names or GCNs to abc player. Just the credentials supplied to the PSOstats client that will read whatever character name / guildcard you happened to be playing on.

  3. Firstly, I would like to thank Phelix for creating this application. This is entirely his code and work we only adapted it to affix to the Ultima PSO client. His original post on another forum can be found here https://www.pioneer2.net/community/threads/psostats.20688/ that contains his descriptions, source code, and general messages regarding the application. 

     

    -PSOstats is an application that runs alongside the PSO client and records quest runs.

    -It requires essentially no user input beyond opening; it automatically collects data as the user plays through quests.

    -It uploads recorded runs to https://psostats.4waypb.com/ which generates graphs, records leaderboards, and overall player statistics. 

     

    It can be downloaded here https://github.com/Solybum/psostats-client/releases/tag/v1.00. Users looking to use this app will need credentials supplied by myself. I can be contacted here on the forums or on discord wilsonpsobb#4792 to supply these credentials. 

     

    Updates to the client and website should be expected.

  4. Another 4 vs. 4 in the books, well played everyone. We have the TEAMZ bot in the channel now, which really smooths things out in regards to quest pools and quest banning.

  5. Last night was the first ever 4 vs. 4 TEAMZ on Ultima (3 years later). 

     

    We randomly rolled a pool of 5 quests and randomly scrambled 8 players into 2 teams of 4. From there a captain was randomly selected from each group to remove quests from the pool until only 1 remained. This is not the format that all TEAMZ sessions will follow, but it was a mix of the random aspect with a bit of competitive edge in regards to quests drafting. Our quest pool started as: MA4B, Lost Hell Pal, Endless Nightmare #2, Phantasmal Word #3, and Mop-Up Operation #4. We wound up playing Mop-Up Operation #4.

  6. Right so, what you’ve shown as proof is the grey area I mentioned. The rules did not always explicitly forbid that type of transaction. They have ALWAYS outlawed straight up money for gear. That was simply a workaround that we got away with for a while.
     

    What it really sounds like by your own admission is that you’re just looking to sell your gear, not that you think this rule has much impact on server population. 
     

    For the record all servers have similarly strict rmt policies.

    Do you have any evidence to support this? The only two servers with HH are having population issues and the one without is prospering with daily peaks ~3x as high as our one random 70 player peak in Christmas with an hh. 
     

    I would rather never fall below 40 players than have a couple of HHs a year with 80 people.

    HH is not the only thing that drives who comes in and out of the server. It's a lot more than that and there is no sweeping it under the carpet either. It's both HH and Events that both do it solely because of how they operate. You see, your server does NOT operate on a whim, meaning that people won't bother (in most cases) to just log in and play in often intervals at any given point of the year. Instead, players of your server, for the most part, will only play in those given time slots.

    This is the ultimate crux of what I feel is driving our yearly decline in both peak and concurrent population. These two together are elements that strictly disrespect our time as players rather than give us the opportunity to play normally when we are free. 

     

    This idea is from a list that was meant to be changes of certain things that I felt were in the right direction that I could also get all the staff to agree on. The total abolishment of HH without a permanent boost is obviously my first choice (best one as well), but was swiftly met with a rejection. This is a "meet in the middle" idea where the base drop table and HH aren't so far apart. It definitely still makes HH the best time to hunt, but ideally makes non-HH not feel as worthless as perceived by most. 

     

    Your idea to distribute event drops was also on this list, and had support from various staff members. I hope we see it implemented in some way, as like this, it is a big step in the right direction towards a more balanced play experience regarding hunting.

  10. It is a lot, but it is truly the going rate. I sold 10+ dark weapons in the last 8 months for 300 DTs each.

    This is not the biggest PSO community. It’s quite a significant amount smaller than the largest.
