 There's an issue with my text when I load up PSO. I can't read the options or know what character I'm choosing unless I remember the order. But still D: is there a fix for this?

Windows XP is no longer supported by microsoft!!!!!

With that said, as it says here in the notes:
If you select japanese language and the launcher displays squares, download this font pack.

If you don't want that, the first combo box is the language selection, change to english or something.

It's set on english. When I drop the dropbox, I see squares except for the japanese text, 3rd one down. It's still squares :/

Well, did you try the font pack?

They would, if you look from far enough

I did. It looks like I already installed it before, trying the same thing, but I did it again just to be sure. Still square text :/

I assume you tried selecting any other font (the second combo box in the first tab)?

Yes :/ I went down list the list for about 20 of them then gave up x.x

Ok, here are some other options:

1)

1. Open a command prompt as administrator
2. Type scf /scannow and press enter (this might not work in XP)
3. If it asks to restart do so and let it finish

This will fix corrupted files and stuff

2)

1. Press Windows + R
2. Type services.msc and press enter
3. Search Windows Presentation Foundation Font Cache 3.0.0.0 in the list, right click it and select Stop (if it was previously running, keep the window open)
4. Open the windows explorer and go to C:\Documents and Settings\LocalService\Local Settings\Application Data, you might need to do this by pasting the location inthe explorer's address bar
5. Delete FontCache or FontCache3.0.0.0 (if they are there)
6. In the services window, start the service by right clicking it and selecting start

Option 1 didn't work, there's no scf command :/ and option 2, I tried in many different ways, it didn't work. When I open services.msc and find font 3.0.0.0, it's already stopped. Also, randomly when I turn on my PC and boot pso right off the bat, it's in English. Any time after that it's in square texts.

lad just try uninstalling and a clean install at this point
