  7. No, id's do not have the same chance, location, or availability of their rare drops. The drop charts http://www.phantasystaronline.net/test/newsite/droptable.php are divided up by section ID because every ID drops different rares from each enemy. The non-rare drops are not really what you make an id for, you will find enough non-rare partisans on any id. Blueful has a select few drops it is used for, but then finds very little outside of those few drops. That gamefaqs guide from ign you posted is very outdated. The best resources for pso info are http://www.pso-world.com , which is also somewhat outdated for ep 4 info but is still a great resource, and the http://pso.wikkii.net/wiki/ which specifically pertains to schthack server but is also a great resource regardless, and of course the ultima forums. Zynetic put up a section ID guide once upon a time here http://www.phantasystaronline.net/forum/index.php?/topic/3879-section-ids/ . I'll also list most of the things blue gets below: EP 1: Notable : Holy Ray: Sil Dragon 1/37 : This is a very accurate Arrest Laser for human/newman characters. 3 other IDs drop it from Dal Ral Lie, but Dragon is faster/easier to farm. Demolition Comet : Mil Lily 1/2 : This can also be found from mil on Redria, as well as on Sklyly pouilly slime, both ids have a wider range of good drops. Heaven Punisher: Hildetorr 1/205 : This is the only good way to hunt hp, which combines into a basic high atp mechgun mille marteux. I personally don't think those weapons are all that great. Special is Divine Punishment on even 100 beats and Autotarget on odd 100 beats. DP isn't very good, autotarget can be but is only usable half of the time. Has a banner. Meh: Smoking Plate : Dark Bringer 1/1173 : Best id for this pretty decent fonewm only armor with a unique animation, but can also be obtained much easier in Black Paper Deal. Book of Hitogata : Indi Belra 1/22003 : One of the rarer items in the game, but only makes an ok weapon into an utterly useless weapon. On here only because of the rarity. Morning Glory : Delsaber 1/706 : A powerful claw with atp based on beat time and no special. Specials can be added through events. Arguably easier on other IDs. EP 2: Notable: Kroe's Sweater : Olga Flow 1/515 : The worst id for this amazing female only armor with +10 ata over max. Yellow Dorphon Eclair 1/116 is far better. Meh: Soul Banish : Deldepth 1/792 : Much easier on other IDs. Maser Beam : Gol Dragon 1/37 : Not very useful, but cool looking lightning gun. Shoots gizonde. Also from gol dragon on Greenil Skyly Purplenum and Redria. Demonic Fork : ill Gill 1/792 : Makes megid pierce for forces, however blue is not a good overall tower ID, the other IDs that obtain this are much better for tower. EP 4: Notable: Limiter : Astark 1/396 : Arguably the best way to hunt limiters, also on redria kondrieu 1/2. If only hunting limiters with no rare monsters, on blueful arguably better, but with redria you can hunt wedding dress/limiter from shambertin/kondrieu, so redria is better if hunting multiple ep 4 drops. Mercurious Rod : Shambertin 1/104 : Can also get in claire's deal by trading glide divine, brave hammer, cadeceus, and king's striker. Very niche use. meh: Siren Glass Hammer : Kondrieu 1/2 : A rod that casts low level Grants as it's special. Boosts gibarta 50%. Only on blueful and only for the lulz. Ophelie Seize : Pazuzu 1/4 : Combines with Heaven Punisher to make Mille Marteux. On several IDs A few things every id finds, but missing a lot of drops like v502, slicer of fanatic, heaven striker, has v101 from goran detonator instead of Zu. Very Hard EP 1, 2, 4: literally none Overall the notable drops are few and far between. It really just comes down to an easier Holy Ray and arguably easier Limiter-only hunt. Currently Blueful is dropping Psycho Black Crystal for Summer Event from ep2 Morfos, which combines with Master Raven, a high atp combo-locked mechgun with handgun animations, to make Psycho Ravens, the best high atp combo-unlocked mechguns on this server. In anniversary event it dropped Ultima's Engine from Shambertin (ultima mag cell), and D-Photon Core Olga Flow (gael gil mag cell), several ids got these. In Triforce Event it gets Master Sword from Dark Falz (a powerful sword with pb wave special for forces and human hu/ra), only id from dark falz, a few other ids from olga flow/shambertin. Christmas Event it got Girasole Kondrieu and DF Shield Falz (part of shield From the Depths), a few other ids got these too. In Easter Event it got Kroes Sweater Olga Flow (much easier than normally is) and Godric's Cloak Vhard Migium (fomar armor +30 atp ata over max +30 mst lck, only on blue+purple). I think that's most of the things it gets.
  8. Section ID determines which Drop Table your enemies have for their rare drops. It does also influence the non-rare drops, as you said blueful finds more partisans, oran more daggers, etc., but that is far less important than the rare drops. If you have trouble getting the exact name and id you want with the section id calculator, the final 10th character does not show up in game, so you can add spaces and then use different letters in that 10th spot to influence your id without it showing up in game (though it will show up on character select screen). Whitill and Oran are excellent ids. Redria and Skyly are very good ids. Purple, Yellow, and Greenil are ok ids. Blueful and Virida are not all that good, but get a few specific drops. Pinkal is a horrible id that gets very very very few drops.
  9. Add a GM to the conversation of you donating, and then find a GM in game to redeem the tickets on whatever you like. The donation list is here: http://www.phantasystaronline.net/forum/index.php?/forum-33/announcement-5-item-list-donations/ . The tickets are just automatic, once you donate you have the tickets.
  10. I've also seen it happen with De Rol Le Shield and Virus Shield. Edit: Zanba and Zanbeacon don't seem to have any issue in the same game.
  11. Hucast is incredibly difficult to max with 1 stat unit + cent/battle. The only option is to use Centurion/Arms which will be around soon in the triforce event. Raising the mag will also be a little tricky unless you use a console/elenor/ultima mag. Easiest way would be to raise an mag to lvl 10 so you get 1 pb and then use the elenor mag cell "Ashura" on it or use a console mag and hope kajex does a "add pbs to mags that don't have one" event soon. I'll describe how to raise normal mag too, although it is a very very long and tedious process. Cent/Battle+Cent/Arms mats 115 pow 35 luck mag 6 / 178 / 16 / 0 (regular mag) OR 5 / 180 / 15 / 0 (elenor/console/ultima mag) OR 0 / 185 / 15 / 0 (donated/mini-event custom mag) With a regular mag you will be -7 atp, with elenor -3 atp, and max w/ 3 extra with custom mag. Regular mag feeding plan: This mag MUST be raised to level 10 with a ranger. This is the only way to keep the dex low enough. Level 5-10: feed 13 monomates. Mag ends up with 565 def / 520 pow / 565 dex Level 10-35: feed 26 monomates, followed by 104 antidotes. Mag ends up 695 def / 1300 pow / 1625 dex. Level 35-50: feed 500 monomates (+3 pow) OR alternate Sols (-10 def +9 pow +6 dex +9 mind), Dimates (+5 def +7 pow -5 mind), and Moons (+8 def +5 pow -8 dex +9 mind), this is rather tricky to get right as you will need to use sols to lower def, moons to lower dex, and dimates to lower mind. It will feed faster but is difficult to pull off correctly. Mag will end with 6 / 28 / 16 / 0 stats at lvl 50. Evolve from 49-50 with a Ranger of Group B IDs Greenil Blueful Pinkal Oran Whitil for Twins PB. This is the only Twins evolution for pow>dex>mind mags. Level 50+ : Feed dimates (+11 pow), OR alternate 1 monomates(-5 def +9 pow) and 1 sols (+5 def +21 pow) while losing IQ (Varaha, Kama, all hunters and group a rangers), OR alternate 2 monomates (-3 dex +9 pow) and 1 moons (+5 dex +20 pow) while gaining IQ (Naraka, Marica, Madhu, all forces and group b rangers) The biggest hurdle is the 35-50 area feeding monomates incredibly slowly, or having to be very careful juggling dimates, moons, and sols properly. Since there is a good possibility Kajex will do a mini-event to add pbs to mags that do not have them, I would suggest instead raising an elenor w/ 1 pb (mag to level 10 then use elenor cell "ashura" on it) or a console mag instead and adding twins pb to it when that mini-event comes around.
  12. Ramarl has a lot of different options for maxing. I personally really don't like to make plans that require 2 units for stats, there are just too many good things to put in slots to tie them up with stat-maxing only units. Ramarl has the option to only go up to 900 mst, just enough to use clio when supporting, and possibly consider maxing evp since she has the highest evp of any class (930). However having near max mst means you would only need 3 resta to full heal (meaning to within <100 hp of their total hp that is) a racast and hucast w/ hp mats (at 900 mst would take 3 for all classes except those two). When using only one unit for stats, completely maxing mst is not possible without a second mag for it, which would need at least 116+ with no extra units or 76+ with v801+cent/mind and equivalent loss of atp for it. You could consider raising such a mag if you find yourself supporting often. Ramarl may also consider using extra luck mats (the zynetic plans also do this to account for resta merge + clio support setups) so she can wear other shields like resta merge / safety heart / anti-dark ring / etc. instead of red ring while still having max luck, since having 2nd highest ata can help boost her even higher with specific weapons and make up for non-boosted weapons. Here are some alternate 1 unit for stat plans. Adept+Cent/Battle mag 5 / 166 / 29 / 0 mats 30 luck | 80 pow | 79 mind | 61 extra This would give you max atp ata lck and 900 mst, and if you use the extra mats on evade then you will max that with the highest in the game. Can use 10 more mats on luck instead and only take evp to -20, which is still higher than vanilla pso stats. If you use 50+ extra mats on mind you can full heal hucast w/ hp mats and racast w/o hp mats in 3 resta. The extra resists from adept are a nice little bonus. This is the plan I will use when I finally get around to making a ramarl. Cent/Ability+Cent/Battle mag 5 / 132 / 63 / 0 mats 20 luck | 104 pow | 69 mind | 57 extra This would give max atp max ata max lck and 900 mst, only 51 of the extra mats needed to max evp, which would leave 5 extra. Could use 10 extra mats on luck and only take evp to -10. Using 46+ extra mats on mind will also full heal hucast w/ hp mats and racast w/o hp mats in 3 resta. I personally value the resists and tp reduction from adept in the previous plan more than the few more extra mats and dfp you can squeeze out of this one. Cent/Battle + no other units needed mag 5/126/69/0 mats 35 luck | 125 pow | 84 mind | 6 extra This plan maxes atp, ata, and luck w/ rr and gets up to 900 mst to use clio, but doesn't have 10 extra mats on luck for alternate shields with max luck. While having lots of units free is a good thing, ramarl can't use smartlink anyway so it may be preferable to use another plan so that they can get more mst for better supporting or more evp if you really want to be highest evp possible char.
  13. I think you may have found some sort of skin conflict for purple ring then (like hylian shield+dark flow, and arrest needle+psycho wand), because my purple ring shows up bright purple. Also glide divine does not boost shifta/deband range, it boosts jellen/zalure range (both the radius of the spell and cast range of the spell).
  14. Berdysh pb wave special only does damage of a normal attack for some reason; it's odd since both Tsumikiri J-Sword and Master Sword do hard attack damage with the pb wave special.
  15. Machine type enemies cannot be paralyzed because they aren't alive. They can be shocked by lightning damage instead. They just use the same model, but Ultima Sword has a lot more color to it.

    Broken quests.

    Here are some pics of the talking rock and what happens when you talk to it. Once the light goes away nothing more happens, character is just stuck there unable to move indefinitely and I have to reset the game.
  17. Divine Protection only works on Odd 100 beats, just like divine punishment special but at opposite times. So it does give you 20edk/elt and lck between beats 100-199, 300-399, 500-599, etc.

  19. http://www.phantasystaronline.net/forum/index.php?/topic/6440-enemy-counts/ You might find this guide useful to see what quests are good for hunting specific monsters. Sometimes you can find other quests not listed that have a few monsters in the first 1-2 rooms that could be used too.
  20. Yes and no. As soon as you relog the stats over 100% and impossible mag levels would disappear. Again this was on someone else's private server they made just to mess around and test various items on, to see if they were worthy of hunting and such.
  21. Attribute %s do not affect charge damage, only the normal and heavy attack damage. Your baranz should do the same damage to all enemies with charge as everyone else's with 0 attributes does.
  22. Actually that single stat guide from pso-world is pretty bad imo. The easier, faster, and cheaper way to raise a mind mag at 15 / 0 / 0 / 185 is just to feed lots of monofluids to 50. Start on any class: 5-10: 13 monofluids 10-35: 187 monofluids 35-50(force evolution at 10): 149 Monofluids (+2 synch -1 IQ each) OR 135 Difluids (+2 synch +0 IQ each) OR alternate Moons (+3 synch 0 IQ +5 dex +21 mind) and Monofluids (+2 synch - 1 IQ -6 dex +10 mind) (54 monofluids and 45 moons needed total) 35-50(hunter evolution at 10): 165 monofluids 35-50(ranger evolution at 10): 371 monofluids 50+: difluids For the level 50 evolution the only new photon blasts you can obtain are Golla and Estilla (if you started on hu or fo). Hunter's and Rangers of ID: Green Blue Pink Oran White will get Estilla with the best mag feeding group for 50+. Hunter of ID Viridia Skyly Purple Red Yellow will get Golla PB but with inferior feeding group, and any other class+id only gets twins again. Therefore I recommend starting the mag on a Force to level 10 for best feeding up to level 50 and alternating moons and monofluids from 35-50 (you can regain iq after 50). After evolving for your choice of those two level 50 pbs, continue feeding the mag to 200 on a Hu/Ra green blue pink oran white so that you gain +1 IQ +16 mind from difluids instead of 0 iq +11 mind. This will be the fastest, cheapest, and easiest way to raise the mind mag.
  23. Yea I've noticed that slicers are still reduced while using sns too, but using sns isn't about the third attack. The sns glitch is about the first attack, if you are able to start the second normal attack while the projectile from the first attack is still traveling, it gives that first projectile the accuracy of the second normal attack, even if you have already hit one enemy and it's still traveling to more enemies. It's technically just the SN glitch rather than SNS glitch, the third attack is completely unaffected afaik. It works so well with slicers because it's easy to get the second attack off while the projectile is still traveling.
  24. I really don't see the point of playing pso offline, I used to do that and it sucks. I really don't see any reason to play an rpg game designed to be mmo, offline. The multiplayer aspect is intrinsically important to the gameplay. It seems pretty paranoid to be so afraid about getting banned as to not play online at all, and it's not like an mmorpg server is unique in this regard, don't piss off authority is rule #1 in any community, be it online or offline. It's like saying "I'm not going to work at the office, only from home, because I'm afraid of the boss 'banning' me from my job" aka firing me. As for adding stuff, by saying "throw in final fantasy music" I can only assume you mean the lobby music changes which don't affect anything (people personally making music swap mods is no different from them muting sound to play their own music collection), the Bacon Swords are just a joke weapon that is so weak it couldn't possibly affect the gameplay (even weaker than the sega official joke weapons), with hylian shield you may have some ground to stand on because of how significantly it does affect the gameplay in regard to techs, which were already screwed by the high resists on this server, but I have to ask; what actually is your idea of "events from time to time" then?
