Classes & Techniques
What are the character classes? The character classes are the type of character you wish to use. To put it simple each class has a speciality for certain type of attacks, though they can use certain things from other classes. Most of the classes are designed for a certain type of style but some are more versatile than others. Rangers use guns, Forces use magic and Hunters use melee weapons. Below is a description of each class.
Classes
Force
FOmar: The male melee force. Has the lowest HP and DEF, but has the highest ATP of the forces. Average MST.
FOmarl: The female melee force. Has higher HP and DEF. than the FOMar, but has lower MST/ATP. Special properties: Gets a boost towards ATA.
FOnewm: The "Nuke" class. Can obliterate entire rooms with magic. This comes with bad ATP though. Only suited for magic. Special properties: Gets a boost towards offensive spells only.
FOnewearl: The female newm, the "support" class. Best at healing others, providing ATP/DEF boosts. Can also cast offensive spells. Special properties: Gets a boost towards support spells only, highest MST
Hunter
HUmar: Perhaps the most balanced character in the game. Can use melee, guns and magic pretty well. Leans more towards melee. Special properties: Can only learn level 15 techniques, and he has lower MST compared to the HUNewearl, but higher ATP.
HUnewearl: Also very balanced. Leans more towards magic. Special properties: Can only learn level 20 techniques, and has lower ATP compared to HUmar, but higher MST.
HUcast: Pure melee power. Has the highest ATP/DFP/HP of all the Hunter classes and highest ATP of all classes. Special properties: Has no MST. Can see and use traps. Cannot be poisoned or paralyzed, but has a severe weakness to electric based attacks.
HUcasteal: Like the HUcast, but with lower ATP/DFP/HP and higher EVP and ATA. Has all the same special properties as the HUCast.
Rangers
RAmar: Balanced ranger type. Male. Special properties: Has the highest ATA potential of the bunch. Level 15 techniques only.
RAmarl: Balanced ranger type. Female. Special properties: Low HP, but has the highest MST potential of the bunch. Level 20 techniques.
RAcast: Male Android ranger type. Special properties: Highest ATP/HP potential. Has no MST. Can see and use traps. Immune to poison and paralyzing, but weak towards electric based attacks.
RAcaseal: Female Android ranger type. Special properties: Highest DFP potential, with very high HP. Otherwise, the exact same as the RAcast, but with lower ATP.
What are techniques?
Techniques are basically magic spells you can use, there are multiple spells all with different effects.
There are restrictions to what techniques you can use depending on your class of character. Below is an explanation of each technique.
Techniques
Fire
Foie: A fireball that travels in a straight line, capable of hitting one enemy.
Gifoie: A swirl of fire that slowly moves outward from your character, capable of hitting multiple enemies.
Rafoie: A targeted attack that causes an explosion, capable of hitting multiple enemies.
Ice
Barta: A shard of ice that travels in a straight line, capable of hitting multiple enemies.
Gibarta: Like barta, but with a wider range of attack. Can Freeze enemies.
Rabarta: Hits all nearby enemies. Can freeze enemies.
Lightning
Zonde: An auto-targeted lightning bolt that hits the closest enemy to you. Can shock Machine type enemies.
Gizonde: Auto-targeted lightning bolts that will hit enemies in front of you. Can shock Machine type enemies.
Razonde: Lightning that will hit all nearby enemies. Can shock Machine type enemies.
Light and Dark
Grants: An auto-targeted Light based attack that will hit a single enemy.
Megid: A Dark based attack that travels in a straight line, capable of hitting multiple enemies. Does not inflict damage, it has a chance of instantly killing. Does not work on bosses.
Support
Resta: Restores HP. At higher levels it will also restore the HP of nearby teammates.
Anti: Same as Sol Atomizer. Cures all adverse status effects but cannot be used whilst paralysed or in shock. At higher levels it will also cure nearby teammates.
Reverser: Same as Moon Atomizer. Brings a dead teammate back to life.
Shifta: Temporarily boosts ATP. At higher levels it will also boost nearby teammates ATP.
Deband: Temporarily boosts DFP. At higher levels it will also boost nearby teammates DFP.
Jellen: Temporarily weakens the ATP of nearby enemies. Does not work on all enemies.
Zalure: Temporarily weakens nearby enemies DFP. Does not work on all enemies.
Ryuker: Same as Telepipe. Opens a warp back to the Pioneer 2.
Techniques Range in level from Lv1 - Lv30 apart from Anti which maxes at Lv7 and Reverser/Ryuker which are one use technique disks. They can be found pretty much everywhere in game but I personally find the higher level disks (Lv20 - Lv 30) in either Ep1 Mine/Ruins Ultimate or Ep4 Crater Interior/Subterrian Desert Ultimate. Below is a guide to what you level technique you can learn at the level of MST you have (take into account the restrictions of character type), a guide to the techniuqe boosts of the different force classes and a guide to the techniques the ranger and hunter classes can use.
