What experiences does a child have that he/she can sing about? Obviously they're targeting a young audience, but if they sing a serious song, a majority of kids wouldn't believe them or be interested in that. These silly/fun themed songs seem like a good choice. Mostly though, I think these videos are just made to get the singers' talent out / publicity for someone to sign them. In that sense, I think it's a great success.
