  1. Somebody just heard about Ancient Aliens..... Our life is much more boring then all this hocus pocus would lead on. Quantum computing will only allow for faster computing, its brutal to keep the Qbits cool. Its all a less fancy way of saying you will not see a Quantum based PC or mobile device for at least 30 years.

It was not done on Ultima actually, but 1c1 across servers (especially those based on Tethella) are the same. It’s some ancient ass run we did a long time ago. There was no times here, so at the least like I said it could / should serve as a baseline for bare minimum uploads. Especially since it’s a 2P run.

You’re not wrong about challenge mode being slightly different / broken on servers. I won’t be very specific, but other stages aren’t proper and certain drops aren’t either.

    Ok was just curious thanks.

    Sorry for participating. My bad.

Was this on Ultima though?  While it's not in the rules maybe that's what you expected @Duja. Just curious if it was a current run or an old one. Are the TAs coded different on different servers? Not meaning to grill just asking.

    Hi,

I've been playing a RAmar for the longest time now and i'm feeling slightly outclassed when it comes to playing ultimate with others my exact level.

In fact, I had someone else gain more EXP than i did while doing RF, starting at the same level somehow.

Then i took a closer look and found out that I was doing like, 100-400 less damage than they were per hit. Yikes.

So I'm hoping someone can tell me what exactly is going wrong- I feel like perhaps I should be doing better.

    I'm level 146, Redria ID

    ATP 1521                              EFR 22

    DFP 610                                EIC 22

    MST 541                                ETH 27

    ATA 284                                EDK 16

    EVP 1001                              ELT 8

    LCK 66

and for the moment, I'm using

    Weapons

    Ultima Reaper +7 0/25/40/0/0

    Spread Needle +32 0/0/0/35/0

    Mille Marteaux +12 10/0/0/0/0

    Bringer's Rifle +9 0/0/0/0/50

    Currently Equipped: Asteron Striker 0/40/0/0/0

    Frozen shooter 25/0/30/0/35

    Armor & Units

    Thirteen

    V502

    Centurion/ability

    Centurion/HP

    Heavenly/Battle

    Tripolic Shield

    Mag

    Pioneer

    Level 200

    IQ 200

    Synchro 120%

    Def 5

    Pow 147

    Dex 48

    Mind 0

I'm currently leveling so I can use the shield i worked for, "From the Depths" and "Virus Armor: Lafuteria"- I've also been working on collecting a photon booster so I can upgrade my frozen shooter into a snow queen. I've also been on the lookout for a proof of sonic team to upgrade my Spread needle. But aside from all that, I feel like I'm just not doing enough damage and getting consistently outclassed by other people my level.

I've also had a bit of a hard time collecting photon Drops, which I suppose I don't exactly have a knack for finding. I tried IDS a few times, but that didn't really pay out.

Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give me- I'd really like to get good at the game.

Best advice for you is to hit 100 Dark resistance for PD hunting. Fairly easy to do via Dressplate armor this will make WOI alot easier for you. Next get yourself up to level 200, even at 150 you gain the ability to use Red Ring and it's costumes. For damage, an Arrest Needle with hit will work wonders or a Baranz Launcher, RAmar works extremely well with Demons special, it's pretty easy and cheap to obtain a Bringers Rifle with hit. As for more damage, make sure your Mag is properly stated for your class with an emphasis on Power. Use Power mats to boast your ATP further, eventually you will need to max your attributes on your favorite weapons.

    A link I noticed that's missing that's really good is this. https://www.phantasystaronline.net/forum/index.php?/topic/33082-ultimas-custom-equips/

I'd like to mention that TTF is not always going to be fastest or easiest way to level up. Depending on if you can carry yourself things like MASE4 and PTS are faster to Ultimate than TTF is.

Another thing worth noting is that Photon Drops come REALLY easily on Ultima and that conversion is definitely up to the seller / buyer and I as a trader would never recommend letting your DTs go at that low of a rate unless there's a hit event or something. Otherwise you're pretty much getting scammed.

This guide is for beginners TTF to CCA is most likely the best route especially with 5x exp takes like less then 3 hours to get to 100. I will add your guide.

I appreciate the effort of documenting and organizing all the relevant information and guide newbies throughout their journey, but if i may suggest, you and @C01D1 should merge your topics and do a definitive beginners guide in one topic.

Essencially, you both have the same goal - organizing and documenting all the must know information to people that are starting. That way would be easier and more intuitive for people to find the information that they need, instead of looking for multiple topics. You could organize the info for things like:

    - Getting Started

    - Mechanics

    - Tools

    - Quests to farm for X objective

    - Etc.

I have linked this guide from mine. That way you get the best of both worlds while still going from the quickstart.

Updated and finished (I think) the guide. If you have any feedback let me know, but again, this guide is to direct new players towards useful and tradeable items they can farm easily in normal mode.

Edit: I would like to add the most efficient and easy way to gain meseta. If anyone knows a certain quest on normal (any episode) that gives 100k+ meseta please comment and I will add.

This is good stuff want me to link it to the Quick Start?

Thanks! I saw that and watched your beginner video. The commands were very useful. But I was hoping for more specific advice like get X weapon or use these types of weapons. Stuff on how to build a MAG. I honestly don't know what is a good weapon. I just used what was cool looking.

What class are you? As for mags It's not my area of expertise.

Originally I played PSO on the GC offline. Last time I played was probably 15 years ago. Every now and then I get the urge to play again and I think it is because I never "beat" the game. My highest level character was maybe 116 and was a HUnewearl. My friend and I shared the save file so we had a couple more characters with different IDs for hunting items and occasionally split screen. We never made it past Mines in EP1 and VR Temple in EP2. Enemies hit too hard, I missed a lot (I did stack God/Arms and get whatever hit I could), many deaths were had.

So now I feel like playing again and have a goal in mind. Finish every episode on Ultimate. It isn't the loftiest goal but it means a lot to me because I haven't, conscientiously, looked at screenshots of the areas in their ultimate form. I was always hoping to make it there myself.

With that said, I was hoping for advice on what character to go with, section ID and weapons to hunt for to make the journey easier etc. I'm not attached to my HUnewearl since I just picked her because I was teenage boy. I did some light reading though and people recommend her or RAmarl for solo. Since it is 15 years later I have a job and a baby to take care of so doing groups seems like a bad idea because I could be called away at anytime. Also since I mostly played solo I think I'd like to finish it all by myself.

I was never a good hunter so I also don't know many of the mechanics of the game I think. My friend and I mostly concerned ourselves with looking cool. We used double sabers or twin swords for the most part and the last thing I remember doing was hunting Al Rappies for Sange which I did eventually get but didn't have a Yasha to pair it with. Generally understood the game but never made use of weapon specials I think. I'm probably missing a lot of knowledge on how to actually play the game aside from basic stuff.

So any and all advice is welcomed.

It's under construction but you should check this post out.

I'll look into it, if you check the source files aka (https://www.phantasystaronline.net/pages/tool-box/calculators/max-stats/data-items.js)
I already have the resistances on armor stuff (although it might not be 100% accurate since some things are hardcoded)

It not having been done before doesn't meant we can't... but I guess since is a forum post not by ourselves (staff/server) then it doesn't matter much...

Tbh, just don't use any background color at all, better color the text itself and bold it.

Yeah I fixed it, didn't realize it played havoc with people with Bat eyes that need dark themes lol.

    Falz - ice resistance

    Epsi - fire resistance

    Gryphon - lightning resistance

These are the examples that immediately come to mind. If I was underleveled and/or was trying to solo or duo these enemies it would help if I could survive their most common attack. They are also commonly given event drops.

And even if the resistances "are nice but not essential" isn't the entire point of a "max stat calculator" to figure out the best way to max your character with the gear you have?

There is an extremely easy way to get 15 resistance UNITs I made a video, its perfect for beginners! Also I have nothing to do with that calculator, I write the stats of things down on a  notepad lol.

If you are underleveled and a FO or RAmarl your HP is going to really let you down. However I get what you are saying. The amount you give up padding towards those resistances is kind of crazy however, (EDK has some better custom options) I guess you could also argue that Grants from Falz can be a 1 Hit KO with light resistance. I might be able to make a video or something I will see what I can do.

I'm going to request this again in this thread, please add resistances to the Ultima stat calculator.

they are much more important than def or evp for surviving the quests needed to farm gear on this server. And right now there's no way to know which gear is best for what quest other than tedious inventory management.

I personally don`t have any idea about the stat calculator, I did make an EDK video however to help people cheaply hit 100 EDK. However, if @Soly thinks its something he can add, the calculator is already linked here. Really 100 Dark resistance is all you absolutely need the rest are nice to have but not essential, Cure Freeze, Cure Shock can help with the low resistance status effects.

Which quests are you doing that absolutely need other types of resistance?
