  1. The worst class in the game is actually HUnewearl, with the worst RA being RAcaseal and worst FO being... idk depends, FOs can do alot of things. RAmars and RAmarls have their own human perks; 250 materials and techniques. But they are both more useful than RAcaseal (RAcaseal > RAmarl in a party with a FO, but only just) due to ATP. RAcaseal HAS to rely on a Force, unless you want things going super slow, or having to use too much 45% Demon's; RAcast does not as he has enough ATP. Due to the humans differing to the CASTs, it's best to compare RAcaseal with her male counterpart: The RAcast. Let's compare the two. RAcast advantages 175 more ATP (1450/1275) 74 more HP (2214/2140) Better Trap Growth (maxes FT at 162) RAcaseal advantages 7 more ATA (241/234) 82 more DFP (688/606) 88 more EVP (817/729) --- Okay. First think about this: What are the most important stats in PSO? Now think about this: Is 7 ATA enough to offset 145 extra ATP (which will also be affected by Shifta, so the gap will become larger), more survival to the deadliest attacks (set HP attacks) and a better trap growth? Realise that a Ranger can equip Ranger Wall, which gives them an extra 20 ATA, stacking with maximum. This gives RAcast 254 ATA, and RAcaseal 261. If you ask me, 254 is more than enough, especially if you're running around with hit equipment, which you should be on certain weapons (Mechguns, Shot, Frozen Shooter, Heaven Striker, etc.) Freeze Traps > Confuse Traps. You talk about enemies not hitting you and hitting each other when you drop a Confuse Trap. Drop a Freeze Trap and they won't attack you and have lower EVP so you can connect hits easier. Freeze Traps take the cake, as they allow you to hit nearly anything with maximum ATA and enough hit on your weapons, and this applies to RAcaseal too. DFP and EVP are near-useless stats, really, if you have to sacrifice your offense. In PSO, everything is offense. Everything dies quickly. Anyone's who played with me will realise this. I don't get hit that often (except when something goes wrong, which does happen, even to the best of people), and things die quickly since I don't sacrifice my ATP for DFP. 606 DFP is plenty, really, with just a Black Hound Cuirass (+300DFP) and 30Deband. Jellen isn't even needed, especially if you possess a Red Ring, which is an easy hunt here. RAcast can take an extra Baranz Missile, he can tank Desert Yowies with 2 H/HPs (+V101/V502), etc. etc. His extra HP is really useful, even if it only seems to be a little bit. You may seem to 'miss' more on a RAcast, but you won't hit much more on a RAcaseal, and on a RAcast, you can still kill in the same amount of attempted hits than a RAcaseal as his ATP will allow him to miss once or twice with something like Sacrifical Mechguns. And yes, everything does come down to your experience, but playing a RAcast over a RAcaseal gives you a much higher potential as a RAcaseal will limit you at some point. For example, if you are TA'ing, RAcaseal has the problem of not being able to combo kill/chain enemies, where a RAcast would easily. It isn't impossible to do things on a RAcaseal, it's just alot damn slower than a RAcast. Infact, we've cleared (well, almost) Realms of War using 2 RAcaseals, a RAcast and a FOnewm. If you can play well, you can do things, but of course, if we used RAcasts for Realms of War, we probably would complete.
  2. Okay, I'll write one: Step 1 -- If you're wanting your team to boom, you'll need a few friends to start it off with. Nobody started a team with just themselves and somehow got it to top status (unless the team was one of the first). Step 2 -- Just get people to generally like you. Don't be a douche, be a nice person, and the same applies to your team mates. Try playing games with randoms and other people. If they like you, and they're teamless, they might want to join your team. Step 3 -- Play lots of games with your team. That'll make them stay. ...What else? Lol. Kick out douchebags.
  3. Yeah, I'm quite aware, but the way I see it, you should still include them for players who have gone past the beginner stage and are still seeking more advice. And I used to always follow higher level guides as a newbie, as it let me know what I should be trying for.
  4. Okay, here we go: 1. You stress RAmarl is the best solo'er in the game... I have to respectfully disagree with you. I would just call her the easiest solo'er (along with FOmarl), with the best solo'ing job being in the hands of HUcast/RAmar. Zyn, you're a fucking idiot. HUcast doesn't get any supports, and RAmar doesn't get any sort of Zalure! RAmarl Shifta is also stronger which obviously makes her have more ATP than both of them!! Let me give you some numbers: HUcast: 1739 ATP with L3 Shifta (12.6% extra power) = 1958 ATP. (From the weapon "S-Red's Blade) RAmar: 1360 ATP with L15 Shifta (28.2% extra power) = 1743 ATP. RAmarl: 1245 ATP with L20 Shifta (34.7% extra power) = 1677 ATP. What do we see here? Oooh, RAmarl appears to have less ATP than both of them. Of course, this is going to come up: "But HUcast and RAmar don't have Zalure! This makes them much worse, as RAmarl can further her damage even more!" Sure. But HUcast and RAmar have access to 21 Zalure. The answer lies in S-Ranks. Zalure S-Ranks can be obtained on Ultima provided you have a Naka's card from an event. This may take a while to obtain generally, in which I do actually recommend you to make a RAmarl for solo'ing, but once you have the ability to obtain a Zalure S-Rank (and you believe it is the one you want), RAmar and HUcast will easily outshine RAmarl with Zalure Shot and Zalure Slicer. Zalure and Jellen on S-Ranks cannot miss (even on lizard FRONTS), and are extremely easy to use. HUcast also has access to traps, furthering increasing his solo potential, plus a high ATP weapon (Dark Flow). 2. Confuse Lizards, please do not Freeze them. This is wasting freeze traps, and only complicates things as it's hard to hit groups of lizards unless you wait for them (zzz). Lame D'Argent is not a hard drop on Ultima, therefore Excalibur is quite easily obtainable (especially if you have a Whitill). If that doesn't work (because you don't have one/having trouble obtaining), a Charge Partisan from the shop is also very good for dispatching lizards, but once again, waiting for the lizards to group to Freeze Trap is a really bad idea. Confuse is better as it causes lizards to group together easily for Excal (in 2s, generally, but sometimes 3s if it's a large group), rather than having them group around you, as Excalibur has a very straight-forward hit radius, and not much to the sides (like a sword) 3. "CASTs are bad at 'zerking, blablabla" Freeze Traps. Mates. 10 Dimates and 10 Trimates is enough to get you through any quest. Even a quest such as MU3 Episode 4 (with heat rooms! (essentially poison)) can be completed by a team full of CASTs with plenty of mates towards the end (without using any of the healing rings) while 'zerking alot during the quest. If you're 'zerking alot (and I mean alot), just pop a Trimate once you're done with your session or you think you're going to get hit soon. You shouldn't be able to use a full set of mates just on 'zerking providing you're using your traps to control enemies (or Spread Needle (Arrest Needle for Fleshies) for Paralysis). 4. "RAmar Strength = Resta" Not really. Look at this: RAmar Max HP: 1770 (Going to be 1870 when Larva gets around to it) RAmar Resta Power: 502 (at max MST, so you need to max that along with all your other stats to get the full benefit of it) Resta on a RAmar is really not too bad from time to time, providing you're in between rooms or waiting for something, but otherwise, it's a pretty dumb thing to do, as you'll have to cast 2/3 times with a slow-casting Resta, thus allowing the enemies to hit you more, causing you to use more Resta... So the cycle repeats. On a RAmar, due to him needing so many Restas, he's better carrying mates around for the fray, and only using Resta when there's no immediate danger. 5. (This isn't directly related to your topic, but I thought I'd put it here anyway) "Fleshies have their own Resta, so should always use that." (This is a tip to others, by the way, not a criticsm) Okay, so, this is definitely not true at all. Think about Resta. You have to stand there for a few seconds while things are after you. It's still one of the most useful spells in the game (don't get me wrong), but there are many events where you can avoid waiting for abit with Resta and use a mate instead. The usefulness of a mate doesn't seem understood by alot of the PSO community, but a mate stops you lagging behind your party, it stops you getting hit from that enemy next to you, it lets you kill stuff faster, etc. etc. Every little bit helps. There's also the thing of "You should be giving me Resta when I'm on low HP!" (Tip to others, again) Really? What if I'm busy on my FOnewearl using Demon's on those 3 Bringers/Sinows/Detonators? What if you're the one who happened to miss the Sinow coming after you and it ended up hitting you while I'm busy giving buffs to the party? What if I'm killing stuff on my RAmarl and I'm in mid-mechgun combo? There's a reason a CAST has mates: To use them. You should always see Resta as a luxury from the support rather than a god-given right. The support classes in this game are special in that they can always assist with killing things very well unlike some other games you might've played. (This applies to FOnewm/FOnewearl, too). Now, if I'm on my RAmarl/FO, I will always see it as my job to Resta people when they're roughly about halfway down their bar, but if I'm doing something at a point when your HP gets low, use a damn mate, they're there for a reason. It's not my fault that I was doing something and you were stupid enough to use a mate. If you have someone who's just standing there spamming Resta, fine, but if someone is trying to do something while you're dying and not using a mate, it's really your own fault you died since you didn't mate. Random notes: Adept isn't really that useful on RAmarl. She doesn't need the TP Cut, 10DF/TF will get her through just about anything. It's much more worth it using a Cure/H/HP or something like that. S-Part's is a Shield, not armour, and therefore useless on CASTs. I also don't recommend trying to get a Red Ring for your Ranger and not for your Hunter first, instead just get your Ranger to use Ranger Wall (it gives the same amount of ATA as Red Ring, which is the main use of Red Ring, which RAw does, lol) while your Hunter is using Red Ring, as that's their best (Red Ring > RAw yes, but you're not going to see a significant performance increase with RR with a RA as you do on a Hunter). Shifta Merge and Resta Merges are very good shields on RAmarl. I honestly recommend holding a Resta Merge most of the time if you're playing in a party as a pseudo-FO on a RAmarl. If you're with a good party who can support themselves with Mates, though, you can use RAw. RAs are no different at melee to each other... TP Restoration with Vivienne is just ":/" as it wastes too much time, as a Trifluid gives you it all back, and it's not hard to obtain Meseta. They all obtain Excalibur. I guess you could say RAcast is the best melee'er because he has the most ATP, lol. If you're a RAmar, unequip your weapon before casting spells. Males cast spells faster when they're unarmed, so you can see the reasoning here. Once you get used to it, you lose no time switching out your weapon. NOTE: You can't max the stats on the characters (except RAmar) without using full stat units. :\ The extra stats made this impossible, since the material usage number was not increased. Instead, I recommend just maxing ATP/ATA/MST/LCK on your characters, as that's easy. EDIT: Knew I forgot something... Star Atomizers have the range of your Resta. This means that it also applies boosts! If you're playing a RAmarl, it's a good idea to stock up on Star Atomizers, so when you're running through corridors, equip your PGP and Resta Merge and Star instead of Resta'ing, so you don't lag. [Maybe more to go here.]
  5. EDIT: Worded this really badly, so: What I was trying to say is that once you get past the first two areas of Realms of War, Realms of War is not a 'monster spam' quest anymore; it is a quest with many enemies that have to be killed strategically due to the map layouts you're given and the timer above. If you're going to make a Realms of War clone, realise that it's not just alot of enemies in an area, it's alot of enemies thoughtfully planned out on different map layouts. Look for a RoW video sometime. Look at Crater and Interior. Then watch Desert 1 and 2. You will see alot of differences between them.
  6. Of course there's 'collectables' for tradebait, but if you're wanting an ID for items, you're better hunting for useful items, as they'll also be worth more than 'collectables'. Would you pay more for a useless Raikiri or a Limiter? More for Nei's/Rika's Claw or Striker? It's really simple to think about. Also, I think that Viridia is an easier Limiter hunt as you can also hunt it on Very Hard. EDIT: I don't really know about 30 techs, I'd need the game data, which I don't have. :\ I only know what's been found in the past. EDIT 2: Razonde 30 can be found in Ruins 2 on Greenill.
  7. Nope, not true. It was true for Dreamcast, but after that, it was scrapped. And well, I don't really see the use of Pinkal, even for a force who won't play for long... Just ask any Pinkal for a Wand Trio and you've got it, lol. I'm sure Pinkals won't mind emptying their bank abit. xD On BB, it works like this: Each ID gets a different set of techniques and level ranges for each technique in each area. For example, Viridia can get 30 Rafoei in Forest 2 Ultimate (If I remember correctly), but Whitill can't, instead finding Gifoei 30 in Ruins 1 Ultimate. Holy shit lol, someone's butthurt and negative rep'd both of my posts.
  8. I decided to write this due to seeing so many "What ID should I pick?" and so many arguments over the question, as everyone has conflicting opinions. Here, I am going to run down the IDs, from best to worst, with class recommendations (just what's the best, but don't worry, the better IDs aren't bad on other classes, too) and WHY I have picked x over y. Note: If any drops I list are wrong, or missing (make sure they're useful drops, please...), please correct me. 1. Purplenum Class Recommendation: FO FO? This one is simple. Because Purplenum has the best E4 drop chart in the game (Oran comes close). Due to classes such as FOnewm and FOnewearl having such high solo nuking potential, they make perfect solo hunters for the Episode 4 maps. This ID is also very good on a HU/RA, as Purplenum also receives very good drops in Episode 1, too. Unfortunately, not much can be said for Episode 2, but this applies to all IDs, really... (with a few one or two item exceptions). The Items 2. Redria Class recommendation: HU HU? Though there are many other good IDs which may be more 'suited' to a HU (read: Skyly), it's generally better if you give the HU Redria, the RA Skyly and the FO Purplenum, providing you are going to play all three. Redria gets a very good Episode 1 chart, while although the Episode 2 and 4 charts are not as good, they are still decent. Due to HUs having the easiest time in E1, RAs having the easiest time in E2 and FOs having the easiest time in E4, I think you can see where I am going with this. The Items 3/4. Oran (Tie with Greenill) Class Recommendation: FO FO? Arguably, it's Episode 4 drop table easily compares to Purplenum. It might not be as good, but it's still damn good. It's Episode 1 and 2 tables are really lacking, but it's one of the better drop rates of Psycho Wand in Episode 2, along with Purplenum (easily the best due to increase rare enemy rate) and Bluefull. Using techlock spam, it's not too hard to kill the first three Gibbles on PW4, but that quest is done better with a RAmar/l. The Items 3/4. Greenill (Tie with Oran) Class Recommendation: RA RA? Although Greenill is really just a weaker Purplenum, you're honestly better giving Purplenum to the FO, due to the much stronger E4 drop table. Greenill is decent in E4, obtains Guld in E2 and has some decent E1 drops. It's really balanced across all the episodes more so than any other ID, and since RA is the best class in this game (no matter what you think), it's the most balanced option you could choose. The Items Anything below this I do not recommend as your starting IDs, but they are decent for specfic items. 5. Whitill Class recommendation: RA RA? Simple answer: They're balanced over Episode 1 and 2. Due to the introduction of the Wedding Dress boost, they are one of only three who obtain the armour. Personally, you're better doing Redria, in my opinion, due to it being a trucktonne better of an ID, but Whitill has its items, especially the 1/36 Red Ring drop and Guld. The Items 6. Skyly Class recommendation: RA omfg zyn ur such a noob. Skyly on RA?? LOLWTF!!1 evry1 knows that HU is best ID for Skyly because it gets CS/RS/SJS/Lame!11!!1 and y iz it so low? one of best IDs!! SJS!!!!!11 Okay, please stop. For starters, Skyly is NOT a fantastic ID. The items it obtains are limited, extremely rare or not too great. (CS/RS aren't fantastic, but they're decent). Secondly, please attempt hunting Sealed J-Sword and Lame D'Argent faster than a RA can on a HU. I will bet you that you cannot do it. To dumb this down, a RA can hunt anything better than a HU can, due to the items they obtain, and the ease it is to play a RA (especially RAmarl/RAcast). The Items See what I mean now? Skyly is really not a great ID compared to others. 7. Yellowboze Class recommendation: HU HU? It was actually very hard to decide on a decent class for Yellowboze, seeing how it's rather subpar to other IDs... I hear alot of good things about this ID, as it 'apparently' gets alot of good items, but when I put this on my HUcast, I found myself limited to one or two hunts, as the amount of good items yellow gets is rather limited. Due to most of them being in E1, I put the recommendation on a HU. The Items 7/8. Viridia (Tie with Bluefull) Class Recommendation: Not HU Viridia is an extremely bad ID, due to the lack of decent drops it gets. There's a few good items, but it's hard to actually pinpoint anything that's really fantastic about Viridia. I recommend something that's not a HU due to the Limiter drop it gets coming from Girtablulus, and since FOs can Grants Snipe / SoF Demon's, while RAs can Paralyse / Mech Demon's, it's really preferable to be one of those. The Items 8/9. Bluefull (Tie with Viridia) Class Recommendation: ...Anything? Really, really bad ID, in the same boat as Viridia. It gets like 0 decent drops, exceptions being the Punisher for tradebait (or for useless DP / Mille Marteux) and Limiter. Not much I can think to say about this... The Items 10. Pinkal Class recommendation: FO, but nothing if you can help it The WORST ID in this entire game, even with the addition of Shambertin Limiter and Wedding Dress. It gets NO drops, except a minute few, so I do advise to avoid this ID at all costs if you can help it. The Items I hope this list helps you decide on a Section ID. Have fun!
  9. Principal's Gift Parasol can hit pretty hard, believe me, as it has 250~300 ATP with the Charge Special. Alternatively, Yunchang has 350~400 ATP (after grinds) and has the Berserk special. Yes, it hits harder, but obviously isn't as safe, so to speak. But if you're using N/H attacks, you're better off obtaining something like a Red Sword/TJS/Flow. (depends what you have available)
  10. Hm, nevermind. Wish I could delete my own posts. >_>
  11. When I said "I hate you, Justice.", I was referring to: Are you implying I'm actually mad or something... ? :\ Also, extended range isn't actually useful on mechguns unless the enemy you are attacking cannot suffer knockback. The extended range mechguns require you to use H attacks for their maximum potential, and the problem with H attacks is that they knock back an enemy, so you will one, two, maybe three or so attacks if you're attacking an enemy from range that can suffer knockback. It's the main reason I actually suggest Charge Mechguns because their highest damage potential doesn't require you to use a knockback. The reason Yasminkov 9000M is useful, in my opinion, is there are enemies that are really far from you that cannot suffer knockback, so you're free to attack things with NHH, and even if the enemy can suffer knockback and it's rifle range from you, NNN should do decent damage too. And I'm sure Justice wouldn't mind some amendments to his guide.
  12. I hate you Justice. Anyway, some advice: Rianov-5 is a useless weapon without it's combo. It's basically just a DM Special, with no combo and less ATP. The Hell special isn't useful either, as the piercing bullets cause some complications (I tried a combo'ing one elsewhere and it was just terrible) and no combo is very low ATA on the first S. Good Hell weapons (for Episode 2, on certain enemies) are: Hell Raygun 50H+ (My favourite for single enemies, easily obtainable from RL) Hell Laser 50H+ (More range than Raygun, but abit less animation speed. Obtainable from RL) Hell Needle (S-Rank) (Good for mobs that are clumped, or sets of 2 enemies that you can target together) Hell Shot (S-Rank) (Good for hell'able mobs that are spread) Heaven Striker is also a good for Handgun for... everything. No, like, seriously. Everything. Heaven Striker is used everywhere in the game. After using your chosen Shot on groups, switch to HS to pick out any enemies that may be left remaining from miss, and since Striker has an auto-aim special, you should be able to pick out the enemies pretty easily, and if you have sphered Strikers, you shouldn't have any problem killing what's left. It's also good for picking lone solo targets, obviously, unless the target has high HP, in which you should use mechguns. You really should use Charge Mechguns on your character if you have Shifta. Mille Marteux, Yasminkov 9000M (which is still a good mechgun with NNN combos or NHH (depends on target, knockback-able = NNN)), Guld Milla and Dual Bird all have really low damage compared to the Charge Mechgun. The increased range or addition of Gush/DP/Whatever really isn't worth it since Charge Mechguns have the ability to do thousands of damage, while another mechgun can't even come close. The other mechguns may have more damage if you're a solo cast, due to the damage formula but I haven't tried that. Same with Meteor, actually. Never tried it fully sphered with max-ATP RAcast, so Charge Arms could still be better. NOTE: Asteron Belt is REDUCED Hell. It's the only 10+ Star weapon with reduced special. Iron Faust has less ATP than Rouge and can't combo... So Rouge is still better. S-Rank Needle with 40H+ is good for Paralysis on a CAST. Use Arrest Needle on a Fleshie. Berserk/Spirit is okay for damage, but really only on frozen targets / targets with low EVP. Hell is obvious. Demon's isn't too useful, in my opinion. Bringer's Rifle also isn't too great. You're better using FS from range, going up and using Demon's Mechgun. Demon's is only good on Epsi/Girta/If you have no ATP on CASTs. Also, gotta go. I'll update this later if you want.
  13. Matthew Swift. I just use a bunch of random aliases which mean nothing to my name.
  14. 200 on SCHTServ. Realms of War!
  15. Had to re-200 due to getting a rollback because I lost all my items. Decided to do it in Realms of War. Accidently opened the menu fumbling for my Print Screen button. Also, RAcast died like 3 seconds after my 200.
  16. Won't you look at the time? 2P CAST RT (No PB) I'm sorry Justice, I had to post.
  17. Zynetic

    Sunny :(((

Sunny you have a lover. x]
  18. Zynetic

    Girasole

Girasole shouldn't be possible to obtain with hit unless it dropped from an event, as it's only obtainable in BPD2 and DSR. Just saying.
  19. That's impossible Rosetta, as LK14 Combat never, ever drops in Episode 4. Anything on the E1/2 drop charts is never repeated on the E4 drop charts, except a few items which were edited in BB (Galatine from Gal, Asteron Belt from DRL, etc, but these might not apply to this server). EDIT: What character were you on, and what ID was s/he?
  20. What happened to Matt #6093? D:

  21. It helps to post the other percents on a Heaven Striker as they also matter alot.
  22. Decided to try 2P MaxC E4 (RAcast and FOnewearl) with another friend (Daisuke/Sylphide). I did FO this time. My time with Kiki/Jellen was 10:01.
  23. Lol, you actually used one of my videos for yours. @ Mantis I should make more. :v Though none of them are funny, just playing. Also, congratulations on 200, Sunny. Also Vypor's RAcast is ugly. ... : D ... : D
  24. No FO RT time (Or PB): Gal Gryphon fight was amazing. He didn't even throw the third tornado. [RAmarl, RAmarl, RAcast and HUcast] A little tip to RAmarl players: Get a build that gives you 900+ MST. This will allow you to equip Clio, which is 100% extra Zalure Range. Put this with Tyrell's Parasol and Resta Merge, and you've got yourself a pseudo-FO character. (Make sure you Zalure all spawns.)
