  1. Then how about helping some of the rookies through more CCA unlocks and farming up their first ever spread needles or Adepts to help the user base grow, instead of fighting with people who you can't see eye to eye with about high-tier endgame content that few people get to see anyway?
  2. Congrats on the handgun. 😛 We have no confirmations of Alis' Resolve or Blood Sword yet.
  3. So, only HUmar could benefit? I'm game, they need something special to their name. I've been pondering an idea to make weapon hunting more forgiving. A way to pay, or a mini-event, to combine stats from multiple different items. For example, my ideal Iron Faust would be 0/100/100/0/100. Hypothetically, while hunting Panzers... I find one that's 10/0/55/0|0 post-tek. I find one that's 0/55/0/10|0 post-tek. I find one that's 10/0/0/0|55 post-tek. I think it'd be worth a few DTs, or a once-a-year mini event, to say "Can I take those three, rip one single attribute boost from them apiece, and have a 0/55/55/0/55"
  4. Okay, ignore me, I don't know prices. I led you wrong. Event drops are generally less valuable during the event, but I underestimated c/battle's price.
  5. I'm dumb! Removing this in case anyone takes my stupidity seriously.
  6. Definitely added. Thanks! Shame Kondy's drop isn't Pink, as many Pink FO as there are. (Shamelessly including mine, heh.)
  7. Adding the Cent/TP and Dark Swan. Section ID is necessary to know.
  8. - Fully improved with grinders puts it as still weaker in ATP than seven other mechguns, with less of an ATA boost than five guns from the same list - It has Devil's special, a downgrade from Demon's that forces almost double the special shots to connect to get comparable results (75k hp gets to <300 in four shots with demon, but needs 8 shots from Devil) - It's only going to drop for four weeks with a fairly uncommon rate Reduce the bullets from 4 to 3 and give it handgun range instead of rifle. It's not going to win any damage battles compared to mechguns people already have built up anyway, people aren't going to suddenly abandon RoCT for favor of Swan hoarding due to the relatively weaker special, and it only drops for a few weeks. It's a poor man's chance at an alternative to a Demon Yas9k that just happens to be a bit better at raw damage from afar, for a limited time only. What's the issue?
  9. As per this link... - Clear Episode IV government quests up to 9-5, and talk with Montague and Elenor until their chats run on repeat - Open a game on the same difficulty with the same character for the "Claire's Deal 5" quest - Find Montague and talk with him. Second option in the menu is to choose your monster part to add hit to. Hit the first one on accident? The first option in the next menu is to pick your weapon.
  10. Then all we need is a quest that has a good, high count for both Sorcerers and Baranz!
  11. Updated to this point. Given the nature of the drops, I have to wonder. Anyone so far able to confirm Panzer Faust from Purplenum? That would make a Baranz and Chaos Sorcerer heavy run ideal for Swan farming. Thank you!
  12. Updated to this point, thanks for the results so far. Not too worried about C/Legs' monster being specified for now, given EVP's low status on the ladder.
  13. I'm only assuming Ultimate due to Baranz being Ultimate exclusive. Alongside Gessé's note above, a few notes for myself if the following end up event dropping monsters for others. Oran Episode IV Dorphon Eclair: H/Power Viridia Episode IV Dorphon Eclair: Guren Pinkal Episode IV Del Rappy: Clio Dorphon Eclair: H/Arms Pazuzu: V801
  14. Official event topic is here! Last year's drop tables are here! Please post with the section ID and difficulty of any event drops you get, or any monsters that drop their confirmed drop table results!
  15. I considered that, but PDs would be expensive enough over time. 100% chance to successfully spend 10, sure. Safe to assume you spend the 20 only once on 80% chance. You might have to spend 30 twice due to 60% chance. Three times average for 40% chance. You're already at 200 PDs spent for 40% Hit; if a Photon Sphere is worth about 15 DTs, you're almost on the mark for turn-ins to get to 40%, which is a popular starting line for a valuable weapon. Trading 10 PDs for 1 PS, 20 PDs for 2 PS, etc. at this point would mean 20 Photon Spheres, or 1,980 Photon Drops. Wouldn't happen. Now, the kicker that puts PDs in check. 50 PDs at a 20% chance for 50 hit. The lucky get it once, the normal people have to do it almost five times, unlucky people might need ten goes. On average, that's 250 PDs. 2.5 Photon Spheres. 40 hit's worth of DTs and change. It's clearly not worth the risk unless DTs are 100% unavailable due to lack of donations. Even the WoI quad-logging PD farmers wouldn't go to this extreme for a 50% hit cap.
  16. I never knew what the original requirement was to start with, really. I always thought it was a hand-picked crew of people experienced in the game, like people you could say "Gold name? They'll be one with good advice" to ask in chatbox or something. If it's gone from longevity of the account to amount of posts, both seem pretty unreliable as far as actually being a veteran of the game go.
  17. Unfortunately, adding Hit to weapons by spending PDs is only really done as a very rare GM-hosted event. Once in 2017, once in 2015, and I don't know before that. It's not a gimme, not assured, and it's pretty much the only way we'll get it. Given World of Illusion's existence and nature, it's pretty likely the "best" players would resume the four-man grind for PDs for days like what's happened in the past. Something permanent for the server would probably have to reflect what happens with adding hit to Monster Part weapons. Increasing quantities of the trade-in item per attempt, item lost on success AND failure, more chance to fail as you go, caps at 50%. I'd figure "risk 10 Photon Drops for a 100% chance to boost your weapon from 0% to 10% hit" leading up to "Risk 50 Photon Drops for a 20% chance to boost your weapon from 40% to 50% hit" is a low enough ceiling and hard enough grind to be a possible balance.
  18. Meseta rooms are usually announced in the forum's chatbox, and in-game by a GM at the time of making it. They don't last forever, but it also means people who luck into it can spot you a sizable chunk of money to help you start up.
  19. Pretty neat way they worked around the limits of consoles back then, even if still inconvenient for the present. I wonder if we could use this to some advantage and figure out whose connections work best for hosting? Never have tested if a /ping command is in the game, but this would make it a pretty good thing to have.
