  1. Tried that and still got the sha checksum error. Not really sure how to get around that, except maybe manually download an installer and run it with the wine command line.
  2. I tried to start a separate thread for this (https://www.phantasystaronline.net/forum/index.php?/topic/29837-launcherexe-on-mac/) to no avail, so maybe people here have a better idea. I took about a year off from PSOBB and when I left everything it was running fine on my Mac, but either something with OSX Sierra or with updated versions of wine are seriously breaking things. `brew install wine` installs version 2.0.1. Trying to get .NET installed there (via winetricks) gives the following error: ------------------------------------------------------ sha256sum mismatch! Rename /Users/bradorego/.cache/winetricks/dotnet30/dotnetfx3.exe and try again. ------------------------------------------------------ Trying to run Launcher.exe without explicitly installing .NET gives the errors mentioned in the previous thread. I had some success manually downloading the updates (https://www.phantasystaronline.net/forum/index.php?/downloads/) and copying the files into the directory, but that spontaneously stopped working after the latest update (it actually worked for a bit then for some reason stopped). I'm currently trying PlayOnMac to see if that's any better. So far trying to install dotnet45 there has failed at all. I'm running out of options/ideas here
  3. Just completely blew away my wine installation (including ~/.wine) and I'm restarting. Does it matter if it's 32-bit or 64-bit? Apparently wine can only install .NET if it's on a 32-bit instance of Windows, which seems absurd given the switch to 64-bit processors happened ~10 years ago...

If you wanted help, let me know - I'm a product designer/front-end web dev by day. If there's some sort of database and/or API I could probably whip something up pretty quickly
  8. Oh, yeah, I'm 90% sure it's a weird OSX issue, but I was hoping by posting here that either somebody had already run into this and had an easy fix, or that @Soly might be able to provide enough background knowledge of what Launcher is/does to figure it out If there was a way to manually set whatever property flags option.exe does, I'll gladly do that, but I'm guessing it's all hex or something so I probably can't just jump into a config file and start editing.

  10. Installed .NET and it didn't seem to matter As the original post states, it seems that the issue is ncurses, whatever that is. My basic google searching points to either my machine doesn't have that particular library, or my installation of wine can't find it.
  11. I just realized option.exe is missing, which means I can't do things like change resolution or save my account info. Help?

Yep. I have a whole thread about it:

  13. I can't get Launcher.exe to work on my Mac. BUT! By downloading the update manually and then copying the updated data folder and psobb.dll it seems to have fixed itself!

Right, but it's still a lot of work to, say, go through each floor and figure out what the best quest is for a given enemy.
  15. Hmmmm, okay. I just tried to completely remove and reinstall the game (from the install here: https://www.phantasystaronline.net/forum/index.php?/downloads/) and it still hasn't fixed the name issue....
