What quests should a new player know about?

I just started playing on this server after not having played PSOBB since it first launched. I don't remember half of the quests or their rewards and I am having a hard time going through every single quest trying to see what the rewards are for each quest and then looking up every single item to see what it does.

Does anyone have any recommended quests that a new player should run through for specific items?

I'm currently playing a RAmar that is it's 90s and will be starting a FO soon once I have a 200 mag and have enough techs saved up.

It really depends on the gear you want, as a force you might want a:

mother garb+ (dorphon ep4 ultimate) (pinkal) - MA4MD

glide divine (Sand rappy ep4 very hard) (several ids) -Maximum attack 4th stage (any) just the start

Psycho wand (Mil Lily ep1 ultimate) (purplenum) - today's rate

Edit: there are many good drops on very hard mode, something a new player with basic gear can still hunt on like v101 v801 some good frames etc gotta know what you really want.

If you're looking for quests with rewards there are some like , Black PaperDeal and Black Paper Deal 2 ( episode 4, one person mode) which I personally recommend , also forest and mines offensive (episode 1)

Raid on central tower (episode 2) but it is extremely advanced . Phantasmal world 1 , 2, 3, and 4 reward you a lucky coin which can be used in another quest (gallons shop) to obtain an item .

And many more that I cannot think of , I do know there's a few episode 4 ones that reward you an item and they're timed and tough .

By the way , to play black paper deal you'll need photon crystals which are easy to get in episode 4 normal difficulty . Pretty much anything drops them . good luck ! :3

There are a lot of quests with no rewards that are good to know as well, but the most important one with rewards just might be The Restless Lion, an ep 4 one player quest in which you fight npcs and take their weapons, which always spawn as highest tier highest special two 50% attributes and 0 30 or 50 hit, so you can get stuff like arrest laser 50 0 0 50 50 or hell raygun 0 50 0 50 50 sometimes, though you may go through a few 50 0 50 0 30 tempest striker or 0 0 50 50 0 burning vulcans before you do. The government quests can also give out rewards for completion, though most of the useful rewards are on ultimate http://www.pso-world.com/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=2426 .

Other quests to know about are Wrath of Forest (monster spam), Path to Salvation (monster spam ruins), Crysis en dos Tierras 1/2/3 (gives some random rewards) Towards the Future (ep1 boss rush), Respective Tommorow (ep 2 boss rush), Point of Disaster (ep 4 boss rush for shambertin/kondrieu), 9-8 (ep 4 boss "rush" for saint milion), Realms of War (ep 4 monster spam), MA4DMD (ep 4 monster spam), etc.

Force is a difficult class, as in ultimate enemy resistances and hp skyrocket and make magic much much weaker. The basic force gear is pretty easy to acquire, a glide divine(very hard sand rappy ep 4 on a few ids), striker of chao (made from branch of pakupaku), v801, Tyrell's Parasol (black paper deal or ep 4 boss on normal/hard), some extra elemental clubs or elemental wands from random players, etc. Resta Merge and Red Merge are dropping again this Valentine's event from very hard Vol Opt on whitill and redria, I highly recommend picking one of each up (razonde merge and gibarta merge drop too but those aren't as useful). The more advanced force gear is a bit more difficult to acquire, as a lot of the attack tech boosts (psycho wand, 3 seals, hylian shield) and good force weapons (bringers rifle, slicer of fanatic, excalibur) are from some more difficult enemys.

Thank you guys for this info! That's exactly the type of information I was looking to get.

I played on BB (I've been playing PSO since v1 on DC) but it's been a really long time since I last played and I think a lot of these quests were either JP-only or are new. (Or my memory is just terrible)

This will definitely be enough to get me started and get an assortment of gear stocked up so I can start farming the harder to get stuff.
