It's a good idea to reload your character in a ship every times you gain a decent item, not only does it reloads everything like you noticed but it also triggers a backup. It's a good way to avoid that jackass bug where all of your items get corrupted.

I can't say for sure but, with my experience trying a lot of controllers with PSO, I'm pretty sure it will work.

lol what? PS2 controllers aren't USB. For that you would need an adapter, I remember one that handled GameCube, Xbox and PlayStation controllers to be used on PC. It was sold for about 10$ IRRC. I configured the buttons with PSO's options, like you would for any other PC gamepad.

Make sure you're using the proper client. online.exe for Windows XP, vonline.exe for Vista.

It doesn't need to be huge - if everyone donates a small amount, it ends up being a big enough one to sustain the server' cost. Also, _Cy_, if any flame war is started, we don't need to reply back.

Uh, really? Drops are activated? They weren't on Scht so I assumed they wouldn't be here. Needs to be fixed, even my own PC (which is good but not THAT good) lagged when I was doing MSB back on Scht... I won't imagine the lag in RoW.

You spawn in one EpIV's routes on a small patch of floor. There's a barrier blocking the way out, not much room to walk around. What this Quest basically does is spawn enemies in huge packs - there may be more spawns than Military Strikes Back does, the EXP is totally insane. No drop or anything, though, it's only EXP. Excal recommended if using RA/FO, lots of lizards.

Heh, this kind of useless opinion exists only because of impatient people who can't stand watching an installation taking more than 5 minutes. I got a PS3 and so far the longest game I had to install was Soul Calibur 4... it didn't even take 10mins. Really just a pile of bullshit, lmao.

You could also consider clearing Windows' cache using CCleaner --> Click here to download Install it, open and make sure you have everything ticked under "System" except for Start Menu Shortcuts and Desktop Shortcuts. PSO is known to having trouble connecting every once in a while when Windows caches incorrect info.

These are called watermarks and you won't be able to do them if you're using crap Windows Movie Maker. Go for Sony Vegas, Adobe Premiere, Corel's Videostudio if you feel like paying. Avid FreeDV or Wax if you're going free.

I'm sure there are loads of people on Schtserv that would be open-minded enough to try Ultima just for the heck of it. The way it is at the moment, Scht has a kind of monopole because 99% of these people aren't even aware of Ultima's existence. It's unfair for them and us - what I propose is a completely unbiased and accurate post saying just who we are, what the server proposes and, above all... "why not give it a shot? You might be surprised." That was my vision of a post but if you say no Larva, I'll just drop the idea. As for the flaming issue, yes that can't be avoided but we don't even need to answer back. It could be a topic where we just inform the players and then we'll see if the mods over there delete it or sticky it or whatever. Oh and I wasn't talking only about Schtserv, also private server websites in general. The first good step was the ability of voting for the server, the rest will just follow naturally.

You make it sound like we should go on their forums and start what would probably be one of the most epic flame wars ever just to try and "steal" their players. Schtserv isn't going down any time soon and like Kireek said, it always comes down to the individual. I actually have a friend that tried Ultima and he didn't like it because of language barriers and longer connecting time. I don't have a grudge against him just for that, I respect his opinion. Advertising the server on Schtserv's forum with, in mind, the will of offering other players another place to play and make friends is totally fine - we're not in the old days where we couldn't mention other servers because of Sega. Both Schtserv and Ultima have their ups and downs so it's up to us to spread the word and up to these people to take a decision.

Music, I'm into a lot of genres actually. Progressive rock, jazz, blues, classical, power metal/melodic death metal/technical death metal. I hate rap/hip-hop I wished the stuff didn't exist. My favorite band ever for their excellent technical side is Kalmah, like you can see in my sig. Reading, well, I don't read that much anymore. I'm currently going through Stephen King's The Dark Tower, best series I've ever read so far. Epic to the extreme maximum like a good friend of mine would say. Sports, pretty much anything except basketball. I prefer the typical Canadian sports like hockey, skate, roller skate and parkour.

Ok I'm not totally sure you can set this since you're not on XP like me but try this if you remember seeing these settings anywhere. It should look like this. Input language: English (United States) Keyboard layout/IME: Set it to whatever your default keyboard language is, it's usually defined by region. For example, mine is Canadian Multilingual Standard. [EDIT] I highly doubt re-installing will change anything.

Hair and body needs to be on default/stock choice if you're a cast. You can still log in the Lobby if it crashes the first time, when you log back it won't crash again but you won't be able to see anyone, which gives you an occasion to use /npc 0 in case you really can't figure it out.
