At least no one was charging/paying $500 for a weapon. You can't even deny that was never a case when it was on donation list. I stated that DT's in general ruin the economy in my thread about how the economy was shit and people laughed at me, yet, here we are again, discussing about donation lists when the real problem in itself is just DT's. I don't think anybody can deny this fact any longer tbh.

But can you technically deny that removing PGF off the donations list has shot up prices and therefore has indeed made him more money? Is that a deniable aspect at this point? Like I said I'm playing devils advocate on all of this. I understand the double edged sword nature of this entire topic and one side of me wants to just say "typical spoiled ultima cant get what they want in 3 runs so they complain" but that wouldn't necessarily be fair to the argument (or realistic in it's entirety).

This thread is probably going to be locked by Soly faster than we'd ever hear from Larva to disprove that being the reason why he wants the rates so high. My prediction: We'll never hear from Larva on the matter until one of the GM's themselves brings it up.

^ Uhm lol. To the main point, I feel like this is just going to go on forever almost. I mean, yeah, the biggest con about the drop is that it's a drop rate that's for a 1 time a year boss. I mean.. I don't think anybody that has an issue with this rate would mind it so much if its a year-round drop. If people were complaining about it then, that would be absurd, but the fact is we're not. We are complaining about how it takes forever to get even if it's a 1 time a year thing. At this point what does Larva have to lose making it a easier rate? What do we have to lose? This is a 15 year old game and we have a small community here playing it, you're telling me that it's so much of a problem making it 1/50 or something low without HH is really going to bust the game up? If anything it'll lower prices of the damn things like I expressed in my shitty economy thread. But that's what it comes down to right? Money. Larva doesn't want the drop rate to go down because if they're easier to get the prices go down and if the prices go down Larva doesn't get as much donation money. Tell me I'm wrong. I almost want you to. Larva, if I'm wrong, please tell me the main reason why we can't have an easier drop rate? It would just be nice for you to please the community that has stuck with you on this 15 year old game. The priority should be "whatever the community is happy with" mentality and not "what gets me more money" on a game that is 2 generations old.

I mean, I always tend to play devils advocate for this stuff. On one hand, it's a drop rate for a 1 time a year drop that takes an upwards of 40 minutes (if you're solo for some people) to do. That sounds plain scandalous. But on the other hand, it IS an item that can make the best weapons in the game. At this point I think the it is the overwhelming fact that the cons outweigh the pros for this drop. There's nothing cool about making a boss drop 1/341 1 time a year for 2 weeks. Idk, but I think we all know that at the end of the day complaining about it wont matter because Larva doesn't really care and the GM's wont speak out against Larva anyways.

It's a shame we dont collaborate with schthack on a few things either tbh. They have some pretty sweet lotto designs (especially from 2010) that I think Ultima could incredibly benefit from (and wouldn't be an issue given most of us already lobby whore). But alas, people here have an unnatural and quite frankly unnecessary (also uneducated) hatred for schthack for whatever reason. So that may not ever happen. I can already see people reporting me just for mentioning the name "Schthack" on this server.

Arek was, in my opinion, retarded for paying that much money for an item that is literally worth less than 5 DT's at this point in time and the fact that Starlord was even trying to sell it for 30 at BASE value was retarded in of itself. you can go to external timer websites and start a timer right as you enter the game, it wouldn't be hard or difficult to replicate. TAing the exact same quests over and over again for the last 10 years is boring. TA is a joke now, it's all just TTF and RT times and any monkey can do well in TTF if he plays it enough.
