    MARCO....

Well, if you think about it, PSO is really Otaku as well. But I don't really think of liking anime as being Otaku. When I think of Otaku, I think of not just watching/owning anime but the combination of multiple of these things: anime/manga collection, figurines/action figures, wall hangers/posters, anime games, cosplay, going to cons, etc. Basically, I think of the main character from Denpa Kyoushi is the best example of what an Otaku is. Anyway, your point that not that many people are interested in Otaku stuff is why I think placing this topic in a more prominent forum will help. If you're someone who likes pso you're just as much of an Otaku as those who watch anime, so despite that there may not be much interest now, if the forum is moved, that might help develop some interest.

    MARCO....

Yeah, it's dead. Only you and I seem to be interested. Large text was added for emphasis. You know what I think the problem is? YOU CAN'T FIND THE DAMN FORUM!! Today was the first time I was able to find it (without typing "Anime" in the search box), and I needed to scroll aaaaall the way to the bottom of the forum list --- No one looks there! I think this Entertainment section really needs to be moved to become a sub-forum of the General forum (if not General, then Off-Topic), then people will see it. Otherwise is will be like it has been shoved off into a corner somewhere no one ever checks. Have you ever read or seen Ansatsu Kyoushitsu? This forum is like Class E: far removed from the main area to make the students outcasts that no one pays attention to, to be forgotten, to be looked down upon. I would ask the mods to consider moving it.

    MARCO....

OK I haven't seen any activity in here for a while, so I'm making this roll call. IF YOU HAVE ANY INTEREST IN ANIME AND READ THE ANIME SUB-FORUM, PLEASE POST INTO THIS THREAD (It can be a simple "Here")
  4. Almost forgot: Tokyo Ghoul chapter 2 is out... too tired to write synopsis... and Rakuen Tsuihou: Expelled From Paradise, which looks kind of interesting and starts off as kind of a blend of Infinite Stratos, Ghost in the Shell, and Vexille, but I haven't watched that much of it -- it also contains a health dose of mecha + other type of fan-service. I recommend watching anime on WAO Anime (formerly Watch Anime Online). Unlike Crunchyroll, they don't charge to watch, and the first mirror link is usually HD quality. I don't know if they have any in-episode commercials, but if they do, just add Adblock Pro to your browser and you'll never see them.
  5. Anime de Wakaru Shinryounaika is kind of funny, but only a few minutes. It deals discussing psychological/medical issues in a comedic way. The first episode was about ED, the second ep. was about "Loli Cons." Watch Absolute Duo if you have a Loli-Complex --- The characters all go to a school to learn become great fighters who use spirit powers. It's kind of like Maken-Ki, but less big boobs. Watch Akatsuki no Yona if you have a male harem fetish. Its about this princess who wanders around with these guys who are all sickeningly lovey-dovey about her and fight to protect her. More than that is giving away spoilers, so i won't do that. It's funny sometimes, but all very cliche. World Trigger is an interesting concept where the world is invaded by what are called "Neighbors": monsters from another dimension that come to steal energy that is contained in people's bodies/souls. The world of humans has a agency called "Border" that fights these neighbors using "Triggers," weapons that are powered by this energy and also create a substitute body made of the energy kind of like armor that takes damage for the Border agents as long as they don't run out of energy (the energy leaks out/is lost when those avatars are hit). The main character is the over-used nerdy-weakling type who always stands for doing the right thing, which is pretty annoying, but if you can get past that and Chica, another loli character the mangaka inserted to try to be "Kawaii," maybe it will hold some interest for you. Try Parasyte if you want something with a bit oh horror. kind of like Tokyo Ghoul. It's about these parasitic intelligent organisms that one night started taking over human bodies by devouring the head, then take on the appearance of humans. One of these parasites failed to take of Izumi's (main character) head, and was only able to take over his right arm, so they share his body and depend on each other for survival. The other parasites, that did manage to take over their human host successfully, use humans as their food source and can turn their bodies into virtually any shape and material. Izumi and his parasite battle against these parasites for survival. At the beginning Izzumi is a wimpy little bitch, plus him and his girlfriend are so annoyingly "angsty" that you'll want to vomit/or just have them die, but apart from that it's pretty interesting. That's all for this season's anime.
  6. I don't think we're ever going to see a season 2,,,,or at least not for a while. Anyway, if you liked Deadman Wonderland, you might like Area D. It's a manga about these people who have acquired abilities (called "altered") due to a phenomenon (that the government claims was light from a dying star that finally arrived at it to Earth after 600-something years), and are therefore transferred to a prison island to live with other altered since they are deemed to dangerous to live with regular society.
  7. Hey, thur When I see your trooper avatar, I think of this
  8. Ooo, I used to play Guild Wars too, but got kind of tired of it. I got tired of everyone just trying to rush through the quests as fast as possible -- you can't do that, that ruins the story, it's no longer immersive. Anyway, had to have they reactivate my account since I had been gone for so long, and it looked like they gave me a Guild Wars 2 key --- I never tried to see if I was actually able to play GW 2 as well though.
  9. Wow this is an old thread! How long it's been since anyone has been in this section.... Anyway. if anyone likes Gantz, you might like Sekai Oni: It starts off kind of the same, but it's about these kids who all face personal problems & see this weird reality reflected in anything reflective (mirrors, puddles, metal, etc.) due to what their doctors/psychologists call "Alice in the Mirror Syndrome" !!!--- Small Spoiler Alert --- !!! Highlight white text bellow to read it ( it only effects beginning of manga, and explains how this is similar to Gantz) Their conscience soon get pulled into an alternate world where they need to fight monsters while using what is called an "avatar" and is essentially a substitute doll (Think World Trigger) that is made from their life force. They can only return to their real bodies after they have defeated these weird monsters.

    Manga

Please move this thread to the Manga section. Edit: My mistake, I just noticed it was already moved.
  11. I wasn't insulting anyone. If you you feel insulted (also sometimes expressed as "if you can't take the heat"), feel free to leave -- I've already said that. I'm glad to be on your ignore list, I didn't want to be friends with such a whiny effeminate person anyway - I can't stand weak(minded) pussies who have no backbone. I will not be coming near you, (like I said, I don't like the feeble minded), however, I won't let you tell me who I can or can't be friendly with. It's pathetic to call someone a noob. Being in a game longer doesn't make anyone anything special. Everyone else is still welcome to interact with me.
  12. Gosh, don't be so butthurt. I already said in-lobby that your character looked like vash, then talked about him. You don't know what tirade means, so you shouldn't even be using that word. I literally said one sentence, don't lie, it makes me like you even less -- I can't stand liars, they're just PoS. Vash is a fictional character, don't be such a pussy, especially one that gets butthurt over fictional things, it's an opinion. If people think that Niki Minaj is a dumb bitch, and then you model your persona after her, you should be ready to accept criticism surrounding her, to get butthurt is simply stupid since you invited talk about her by modeling youself after her (that's self-inflicted). I have nothing more to say about it, I have nothing to prove to anyone, and I have nothing to justify to you. I'm not here to bow down or accommodate some Thought Police because some words or phrases offend them, I speak my mind. I'm not here to be friendly with everyone, if you read my intro you'd have seen that I'm only interested in people with the same interests. So if you're insulted by anything, you can just leave.
  13. Hai, everyone. I won't respond to everyone, but you can assume that I read each post.
  14. Pffft! All I said was that Vash is a crybaby pussy. Geez, don't be a pansy about it.
  15. So first you tell us that you have some music, then you don't post it?? o_O ...... Music or GTFO!
  16. Ohh, that was long? Really ? --- So did you read it all? Once I got into it, I just kept writing my thoughts. It gave me something to do. Oh forgot to add: my game handle is Character is Akira Mad --- damn thing cut off the last letter. I'll add that.

    Manga

Hmm... I don't know what you mean by chill anime, and I don't really read slice of life or romance, and I'm not familiar with those you named, so I can't really recommend anything based on that. For adventure, you could try: Ares, UQ Holder, Drifters, and maybe Online (Kind of like Sword Art/Log Horizon, but better IMO) . For comedy, you might try: B Gata H Kei (I actually recommend watching the Anime instead, but that's just my opinion). For romance, try: Paradise Kiss, Mermaid Forest(horror romance), and Akuma to Love Song (kind of a drama romance) If you liked how Area D looked, you might also like Trace. I've read all of it plus Trace 2.0, but unfortunately its at a standstill now . There's also Trace: Perfume, which is a kind of a side-story, not related to the main Trace story-line, but I couldn't really get into it.

    Manga

Who here reads it? I'm currently reading: Area D, Sekai Oni, Terror Infinity (Manhua), Deathtopia, and Online. I'm looking for other's that are similar or that I might like based on these, and I'm also willing to give recommendations based on what you like (if I can).
  19. As in the "Introduce Yourself" thread's format: Name: Akira Mado of course! Age: None of your damn business. Preferred contact method: Err, use pm or whatever. Hobbies: Bicycling, target shooting (too damn expensive for hobby!--damn it!!), errr.... browsing net and reading occasional book? Don't really have any hobbies unfortunately. Picture: Fuck no!! What is this, online dating?! A little more about your self: I'm online a lot, I play pc games sometimes... In short, I'm addicted to computers (if I weren't, maybe I'd have my life more in order... but reclining and watching/reading something helps me escape from this shitty world; and unfortunately sometimes that escape and isolation is necessary for me to relax/de-stress and stay sane --- god knows I need it! with all these shitty people, especially these power-tripping, dumb-as-fuck, PoS manager contaminations who make the world worse for everyone--- Errm.... </end rant!>). <-- Oh yeah, I know a bit about HTML (not so much about scripting or programming)... plus Photoshop image manipulation/touch-up/editing, video editing, and similar stuff. I read manga, like action+sci-fi movies and tv shows., have a bit of an attraction to things that people consider dark & morbid, I have a dark sense of humor, and don't really feel any emotions except occasional anger (bummer, huh? Guess that's what this shitty world [and/or people in it] does to you eventually). If it seems like I don't really get exited about anything, it's because I don't.... that's just how it is with me. I'm introverted, as I guess most people here are, and you can probably tell from my hobbies/interests. I'm not a violent person, I don't go around attacking people ---- although you would be total retard if you thought that means I'm a pacifist: if someone were to attack me, I don't believe they deserve a shred of mercy, and I wouldn't give them any either. I'm a bit of a gun-aficionado, as far as using them for sport and defense, and believe that learning about safety, handling, how they work, and getting hands-on experience erases ignorant bigoted fear surrounding guns & people who own them --- although I don't know a whole bunch about rifles or shotguns, feel free to share about them if you do. I think that, although not necessary, it's also good to learn a hand-to-hand martial art if you choose to learn shooting, as they go well together. I'm a fan of Karate/Taekwondo, Muay Thai, Kenjustu, Escrima, Silat, and also a tiny bit of archery. I believe everyone has the right to a viable means of self-defense no matter if you are male, female, old, weak, or have some mobility problem - guns are "the great equalizer" (although pepper-spray, knives, or hand-to-hand arts are also cool if you want to use them) -- People who think you need to be all macho and use muscle to be "chivalrous/valiant" are just small brained retards. I also think that being pro-active in your safety does not make a person a coward, but a thoughtful person. If you're that kind of retard who feels they need to demean someone's valid decision to be pro-active in the defense of self, home, or family: don't talk to me or even open your trap. I can't stand TV/Movie actors that play parts in violent action TV shows/movies, but then denounce using weapons to defend yourself or your family/friends in real life -- bunch of limp-dick hypocrite pussies! Anyway, I've only brought up these points and wrote this lengthy paragraph because I'm passionate about these points, and a staunch supporter of the US Constitution. Well, that's about it; below are some of my likes and dislikes as far as Movies, TV, and Music. Movies I Like: American Sniper, The Sniper (2009 Jap. movie) Hot Fuzz, Chronicles of Riddick, The Expendables, Fast & Furious (series), Colombiana, The Losers, Sniper [entire series], Blade [entire series], Appleseed EX, Vexille, House Of Flying Daggers, Seven Samurai, Ong Bak, Jackie Chan movies (esp. New Police Story movies), Battle Royale (could have been better done), modern martial arts movies, The Transporter [entire series], Blitz, Crank [entire series], The Mechanic... TV shows I like: Person of Interest, Intelligence, 12 Monkeys, The 100 (yeah, all the emotional crap is a bit too Twilight for me though...~blllurgh~), Constantine, and Agent Carter (sometimes I like '50s-esque/retro things, not just movies/tv, they have a kind of novelty to them). Manga I read: Psyren, Area D, Sekai Oni, Terror Infinity (Manhua), Deathtopia, Online. Kinds of Music I listen to: Hip hop instrumentals, 80s retro-synth, Synthwave, MIA/Santigold, Drum&Bass (some). occasional electro-pop, Blackmill, electro-guitar, some J-Rock: D'espairsRay (Mainly "Coll:set" & "Maverick" albums), Gackt (songs: Redeemer; Returner), The Gazettte (songs: Filth in Beauty; Reila; Cassis; Taion ), .... Music I Hate: Punk, Country, Emo, Ska, Fart-Step, Techno, Justin Bieber... In-game Character name: Akira Mad Ok, so that's all for now, if I think of more I might update it later. If you share any of my interests, feel free to introduce yourself to me and share what your interests are or how they are similar.
  20. I've not been able to post in shoutbox today if I made the shoutbox a pop-out window, but if I did it from within the same window as the forums, it worked.
