  1. Three seals is a pretty easy hunt 1/232 from delbiters on very hard. It should sell for around 20 pds but people don't realize how easy the hunt is I guess. Psycho wand isn't too hard to get either. Sticking with those two to start can be nice. When I use techs on my level 200 FOmarl with max mst and Psycho Bridge+Hylian shield, I feel like she's still a bit underwhelming, but if that's what you wanna try good luck to you c: If you were considering making another character to use techs more I would recommend FOnewm. He's a boss c:

Let me know what your offer, I'm not very interested in PDs. What more I seek it is now a divine Glide v.00.

  3. I like sologuys idea. If it ends up not being a gun, it needs to be a slicer. The issue is that human hunters and forces have trouble stopping certain enemies in their tracks. Making them less efficient at certain hunts. They already have Holy Ray which has arrest and base 70 ata. In order for a new weapon to be good enough to warrent using it to effectively paralyzing things it probably can't really be a melee weapon. And I don't see the point of the GMs putting in work to add a new arrest weapons for FOs/HUs if it's not gonna make them more efficient at stopping enemies.
  4. Love the idea. Good stuff mudkipz!
  5. Episode 2 is particularly frustrating for solo force characters. Even basic enemies like zol gibbons and sinow zoas can cause headaches >.< Trying to hit enemies like ill gills and delbiters with 80 hit weps as a fo can be problematic. In general, I enjoy the challenge, but it can be frustrating at times.
  6. Hello c: You could probably get 30-35 dts for it maybe even more if you found a buyer. Good luck.

  8. This sounds awesome! Thanks for the event! Who wants to team up?
  9. What's the best place/quest to farm boxes? I'm thinking about trying to get amplifier of rabarta like this. I can think of a few places. I just wanna hear other people's opinions.

  11. I don't think it was asked. I'd say around 5 pds.
  12. I feel like Rangers will inherently always be a bit more versatile than other classes due to the fact that the weapons they specialize in are inherently good. Especially shots and mechguns. (Even handguns and rifles are pretty useful). Their high ATA and particularly DM is what really sets rangers above the rest imo, and I don't think DM should be nerfed because that's not really right. And I don't think the other classes should get gear insanely powerful gear just as good as DM to balance things out, because then the power creep just gets out of hand. I do think a few buffs here and there could make this game better, but even if pso got to the point where I would consider it to be in the perfect state, rangers would still be the most versatile. As long as we can be successful with any class, I don't think there's a problem with that. I like some of the ideas Misombre mentioned. Oftentimes weapons like daggers and double sabers aren't used as often because mechguns are just better. When I'm in a situation with my FO where there's a single enemy with low enough HP to where it will die in one combo, I could take a few steps forward and kill it with Girasole, but oftentimes I'll just pull out charge type me mechguns and kill it that way. The fact that mechguns do more damage and hit from further away just makes them a better choice a lot of times. A unit that boosts the usefulness of certain types of weapons that aren't used as commonly sounds like a good idea.
  13. Maybe a slicer with unreduced arrest that only human/newman HUs/FOs could help balance things out. I've been testing 75 hit Holy Ray recently and it's actually pretty good, but arrest j cutter can be a bit underwhelming on non cast characters since it can't have hit.
  14. I would say decide what you want to hunt for before creating another character, then decide what class would do the best job of completing that hunt. In general, hunters are good at ep1, rangers are good at ep2 and forces are good at ep4. Of course all classes can handle all areas in the game with the proper gear and experience. It may also be a good idea to look ahead at what events are coming up and prepare a class to hunt for an upcoming event item, because they're worth quite a bit and you can only get them once a year. For me, the best FOrce ID is Oran hands down, purplenum is pretty nice too (especially if you want to hunt psycho wand). A lot of people mention pinkal, but the only good drops are wedding dress (which a FO would stuggle to find solo) and Mother Garb+ which is honestly a bit overrated. For hunter, Whitill is always nice and I've enjoyed Bluefull. For ranger, whitill, purplenum, and yellowboze. Don't forgot about greenill. It's good for hunting materials which will make your characters much stronger. Greenill is fine for any class, but I would say it's better on Forces and Rangers.
  15. I'm a big fan of Flowen's AUW-3084. I wish FO could use it, even though it doesn't make sense on that class.
  16. What about FO tho? Just kidding I think most people experienced players would agree that rangers are the most versatile class in the game. They don't really struggle with anything and they excel in numerous ways. I don't like RA because I find them so effortless to use. I can be half asleep with DM and still solo gal griff with one hand with a level 110 racast (maybe exaggerating a bit, but you get the point). If you do put effort into rangers, you can get a lot more out of them, but effort isn't really needed in a lot of situations. I hunt with RAs sometimes cuz they're good, but I don't enjoy it the way I do with FO or HU.
  17. I'm really glad to see that the people in charge care about the economy.
  18. dw everyone. Don't forget.

  19. I do see what you're saying with making ultimate easier, then making crack mode so the veteran players don't get bored killing weak enemies. The only problem is, the only way to people would have the incentive to hunt in crack mode all the time would be if drops were easier there, and if they were, veterans would have an easier time getting good items and they could sell it for cheaper and it would widen the gap between the vets and newer players in community. If the drops weren't made easier then that would decrease the replay value because there would be no point in getting maxed gear if you can run through the game without it. Its great meeting people who are successful on this server (good gear+high levels) because you know that they probably went through the same struggle you did. Most casual players would've just rage quit. Ultima isn't designed to favor casual gamers. I think that's a good thing. If ultimate difficulty is too difficult for you, it may be time to reevaluate your strategies or play a lower difficulty. There are still a ton of useful drops on very hard. Start with easier hunts and work your way up to more difficult ones (like panzer faust). Figure out what your goals are then ask for advice if needed. If you find ultimate difficulty on ultima to be an insurmountable wall then wouldn't you want to overcome this wall like hundreds of other players have instead having it being made easier for you?
  20. It may have the do with the fact that Divine Protection only boost EDK and ELT on every odd-one hundred beats.
  21. It's sad for me to hear you say "So far it (ultima) has been the most grindy and unsatisfying experience I have ever had with PSO." I figured most of the people who had a problem with the difficulty of Ultima would have similar complaints about pso in general. My experience on Ultima has been the most satisfying out of any pso game and even any online game period. It's unfortunate that you haven't been having a good experience. I don't think it's required for you to donate to be successful in the game. In addition, I don't think it's required for you to play with others often. I've played by myself 90-95% of my time here in ultima and I've had a good deal of success. I will admit things may have been easier when I started because prices weren't so inflated. I was able to buy some really useful event items for about half of what they're worth today (stuff like hylian shield and psycho raven), and saving up PDs equal to that amount (66 pds or so) wasn't too difficult. Green names were pretty common when I started so I was able to hunt materials and mostly a lot of photon crystals. I played BPD on ultimate with my FO (which wasn't difficult) and sold a lot of the bpd items I got that I wasn't gonna keep. It adds up pretty quickly. I sold a lot of items between 1 and 5 pds. That added up to around 66 pds even though the gear I had wasn't that good. Lots of little trades add up. I also played blue star memories quite a lot to save pds (which isn't really the best method, but it was very easy). I find it surprising that you find the progression on Ultima to be so slow in comparison to other versions of pso. I got to level 144 on my second day on this server with my FOnewm (x5 exp was on), and it took hundreds of hours on GC for me to ever get close to that high of a level. I don't know if anything can really be done about inflation. Ultima is difficult. It's meant to be, but I don't feel right if people are having worse experiences than me due to the fact that they started on a later date. I would feel very discouraged if I saw some of these prices for event items when I first started playing. 500 dts for DWs is ridiculous. Of course you can always hunt for it yourself, but even that can seem out of reach when you don't have decent gear to begin with. I will admit that the grind I've experienced on Ultima has been soul crushing at times, but to me, that's the way pso is. That's how it was on the GC, and if I didn't like it then, I wouldn't be playing this game now. The fact that you have arrest needle which is often consider high end gear for a RA and you've been playing for less than a month would suggest that the progression isn't too slow. It's typical for a person to spend many months (or even years) before they have some of the best gear in the game. I know donating was a big factor in that, but I've seen people selling POST for 8 DTs and many people will trade DTs for PDs at a 1:5 rate right now. So if you save up 40 pds you can get a POST which gets you one of the best ranger weapons in the game. It's not difficult at all (even for a new player) to save up pds if you put time into the game. As long as you know how to farm. I would say don't get discouraged.
  22. Has anyone tested the damage of a maxed Vjaya on HUcast with 4 way PB? I'm doing some calculations and the damage seems insane. I will have to test the formula more to ensure it's accuracy.

Nice. I did a calculation for a hucast with d-parts ver1.01, and kasami bracer for extra atp against a booma on normal and i got that it would do a maximum of 4,914 damage if you got the highest possible roll (which is unlikely). In theory, a crit could do 7372 damage. I need to do more testing though for Vjaya's damage multiplier. It's hard to get an exact number because of vjayas damage range.

yes.. charge stuff is tricky, so further testing is always required.

You can ask Stark. I sold him a fully sphered vjaya so he might have more info
