Patching Loop

I just downloaded the full Phantasy Star Installer from this site, ran it, set online.exe to run as Administrator. The issue is, after going through all the patching to get the launcher up to date it keeps trying to redownload itemtextureep4.afs over and over every time I start the game up. Any thoughts or suggestions? Let me know if you need any more info, I'll be happy to tell you anything I can. Thank you.

Add the PSOBB root folder as an exception to your antivirus, or turn it off while patching. In the worst case, ask a friend that has the latest version to send you the itemtextureep4.afs through mail or something. Then manually replace it in your data folder. I doubt this is the only way though.

what i recommend is to delete the itemtextureep4.afs from the data folder and try to patch it again.

I've got the same problem, and have already gone through adding the folder to my antivirus exceptions and I've tried deleting the file and redownloading it through the patching. Reinstalling the game also has no effect.

• Go to the pso folder
• Rename the PsoBB.exe to something else
• Rename the PsoBB.pat to PsoBB.exe
• Run the the online.exe as administrator
• Patch done
• Play and have fun

Well the issue seems to have solved itself. The texture file being downloaded seems to have changed, and patches successfully.
