Tek[+]Lok
I installed an offocial setup of psobb that I downloaded from gamershell.com. I also applied the ultima patch and used the online.exe to start the game. Gameguard keeps giving me an error and then the game closes. I have no idea what the problem could be. This install worked fine with schthack.
Choko
Are you positive you replaced the psobb.exe file? I don't believe that the executable even makes a call to gameguard. Edited January 13, 2010 by Choko
Tek[+]Lok
I downloaded the new patch, I noticed it was slightly bigger in size, applied it to a new install of PSOBB and I'm getting the exact same gameguard errors as before. Here is where I got my official copy of PSOBB http://www.gamershell.com/download_9102.shtml Edited January 13, 2010 by Tek[+]Lok

Tek[+]Lok
humm ,, are you sure you are replacing the files ,, online, vonline, vista, psobb.exe all this files need to be replaced. is very odd that game guard comes up , cuz this EXE dont have gameguard. This is way too easy to get wrong. I made sure to overwrite each file. But I noticed that your online.exe and option.exe are exactly the same file size as the original ones. I also noticed that the main menu is unchanged in appearance. Shouldn't I be seeing a custom ultima menu of some kind? Perhaps I need a japanese version of the game rather than the english? Choko
Yeah, this server uses the JP client version 1.25.10..that would be your problem there.
Tek[+]Lok
Ah so that is why shthack's patch works because his includes the english to japanese data as well.

Pablo Garcia
I was wondering why it will not allow me to input a name for a character. I tried using my keyboard but nothing comes up on the screen. Edited May 12, 2012 by Pablo Garcia
