Wasn't Swordfish a crime flick? Been more than a decade since I last seen it. Other than that, there isn't much I can add to your list but these for me: The Abyss Gattaca Under The Skin (Which was a pretty weird one for me) Predator Contact Mad Max (Mel Gibson's) Dark City The Mist Planet of the Apes (The classics, the new ones are fine too I guess) Invasion of the Body Snatchers I don't know how well known most of them are (aside from the obvious). Oh yeah, there was this recent film about a normal suburb family where strange things happened in their house, and they just wouldn't believe it was aliens until the end.
