"Unable to connect to the remote server" error updating from launcher

Hello, 

 

Trying to get back into the game and reinstall it. The download process worked well and from other forums, I went ahead and whitelisted the Launcher.exe, psobb.exe, and ulltima.dll. 

The error show says "Error: Unable to connect to the remote server" followed by "URL: http://www.ultimapsobb.com/psobb/v1/update/files.txt". Any tips on how to resolve this? Does the site it self need to be whitelisted it self?

Your ISP might be blocking the site.

What do you get when accessing that link? (Note that the one you pasted into the post, has some letters swapped, so that one wont work)
This should give you a list of file names and some hashes, which are the files to update.

Antivirus seemed to still be the issue. Apparently Google chrome entirely had to be whitelisted for it to allow access.
