    -There Is risk In doing this, for Idk If these actions can get you DC'd, but just thinking about previous experience of mag trading getting me DC'd, I can't tell what mag dropping...

    -The process Is ARDUOUS, and It's not recommended to do on mags that require constant different Item feedings.

    [It's a very masochistic process that requires the player to stay In constant feeding, for time on feeding a mag, even If cancelling the feeding process, passes really quick, especially If dealing with lots of mags]

     

     

     

    I found a way to make faster mag feeding, or at least I think so...? :onion-head49:
     

     

     

     

    In order to execute It, you need more than a character, and also, depending on how "fast" you want to do It, you wanna have more characters In room =] [ Yes, even 4 characters work, but you'd better not be carrying a lot of mags with you. 4 Mags with 4 characters Is already a lot ]

    Also, If you need to see It for yourself, It Is Important to have Item reader addons, too.

     

     

    The main factor to execute the process Is Time. You see, when one makes or enter a room, the mag on Its Inventory's feeding counter starts to count from 3m30s. One would think that That counter only applies to the owner of said mags, but that's not how It Is. It results that, If another player enters the room, the same mag's counter we've refering, Instead of counting the same time as the owner's current time left, Its counter starts over [FOR the person who entered, only], making 2 different counters for one same mag.

     

    And this Is precicely where I want to get Into. Look at this  :rf-03:

    3 Characters In the same room, and 9 mags on the floor- [ah, Some mags data missing on the upper characters' addons :onion-head06:]

    (Huh, I supposedly made room with the character carrying all of them mags, and yet their timers are a second different from each :onion-head49:)

     

     

    And on each character's Floor Reader, the mag feeding counter Is not the same. You can also notice a difference of 1m10s, which was made on purpose, because that's how time manifests In the making of this guide. 

     

     

     

    You see, once the mag counter reaches 0 (to be precise, a second after It reaches 0 ¬_¬) the mag can be fed. If you forget to feed the mags [AT LEAST "ONCE"], the counter will not reset; and, If the other character's counter also reaches 0 along the same counter mentioned now, then whether the one or the other character feeds the mag, the counter will reset FOR BOTH CHARACTERS. Meaning that, said mag's counter Is now In Sync with both characters.

     

     

    In order to make faster mag feeding via this process, one must feed the mags, then drop them on the floor [THE ESCENCE OF RISK], then use the next character with closer timer to feed, and repeat the same process with the characters In room.

     

     

     

     

     

    That's an interesting finding (and that could cause a lot of false positives in mag feeding checks :rf-03:)

    So basically when a mag is fed, any timers that are at 0 are reset?

    I meant the permanent fix will require a server restart, whatever desync you were experiencing was not related to this issue, and probably is not even related to the server tbh.

    Maybe you only downloaded the update and not the installer?
    I'd recommend you reinstall the game https://www.phantasystaronline.net/download/Ultima-PSOBB.zip

    Keep in mind this file is protected by a password, the password is ultima
     

    When reinstalling, I'd recommend to turn off your antivirus and before turning it back on, add the game folder to the exclusions list.

     

    As for the game downloading the launcher every time, it probably is because the launcher is being removed by your AV.

    As it stands, Ultima Bringers is a native drop during the Anniversary event. Were the piercing photon/bringers upgrades scrapped due to the difficulty of figuring out how to make weapons pierce? And if that's ever figured out, do you think Last Holy Ray would make an appearance? Would be pretty awesome to have a piercing arrest weapon even though I can't think of an application where it would be super useful.

    I haven't added the Ultima Bringers pierce, but that's on the things to do.

    Well, as I said another person was gettick stuck mid download somehow without throwing an error, and he said it was his network somehow...
    So it's a possibility... since it's not getting an AV error, is not that...

    But I really don't know.

  8. I haven never seen this, but someone was having an issue where the launcher would get stuck instead, mid download... it seems it was his ISP or something with his connection.
    I'd advise to look into that...

     

    In the meantime, you can download this file and decompress it onto the game folder, it contains all the updates (except the luancher)

     

    However since the download is not https, chrome (and other browsers) wont let you directly download it, so copy the link and paste it into a new tab, that should make it work.

    That is harder to do with monster stats, given the way they are loaded.
