Frequente disconnects while alt+tabbing or afking

Recommended Posts

Hello,

As the title says, I'm being disconnected frequently while alt tabbing or afking. Sometimes I'll just alt+tab to look for some item on pso-world for a few seconds and when I come back: lost connection. Other times I'll just go to the kitchen or the bathroom, and when I come back, even while still in game, I'll lose connection.

It never happens while active in the game. It's very annoying, sometimes I'll be doing a quest, go for a quick look on psoworld or the drop table and boom, lost connection.

Is this supposed to happen, like some sort of counter to dual client or afking? Does it happen to someone else? How do I fix this?

Thank you

There is nothing server side to disconnect you for being afk.

The only way the server kicks is you is either because of an error or the client not responding to the "keep alive" which in normal operation happens automatically.

I'm afraid whatever is happening is on tour end, going away for a while could affect if you are on wifi, the router (or pc?) could close your connection because it's not being used (enough?).. but alt tabbing definitely shouldn't do that.

Side note: we have our own drop tables.

Thanks for the quick replies!

My settings for auto disconnect were set to 15 minutes, changed to 60 now, but my disconnects happen way before 15 minutes anyway.

Tried the spacebar thing, didn't seem to work.

It seems to happen at random intervals, sometimes It'll be a few seconds after alt+tabbing, sometimes takes a few minutes, but never happens if I'm actively playing.

It's probably something on my end. I'll check for something in my computer that could be interfering with that. I'll let you guys know if I find out.

I'm using windows 10, by the way. I don't know if there's any compatibility problems with it. I'm also not on wifi.
