SKINS (in need of assistance)

Making a skin, HUcaseal, leopard print, designed to fit with Panther Claw and Panzer Tail mag, its finished, but just needs tone and shading tweaks which i can do whenever (will post pics)
Anyway, my main issue is the fact that it gives an option to have Black as transparency, however its NOT working, i have tried multiple times. Just end up with solid black part that i was trying to make transparent. Help would be greatly appreciated.
(I want the top part of the antenna on the 3rd HUcaseal head removed, I think its 3rd anyway, its the one with two antenna, almost like insects. I want the top bit gone, and the lower, closer to the head bit, to be cat-ish like ears in texture.)

I really cant see why this is so difficult >:C
its been done with the Cap on the RAmarl's head. they found a way to take it off, why not these ugly ass antenna?

Maybe it's the way you're importing the file, there should be 3 ways not sure the one that was correct. Sadly this guide has a few broken links but you should still be able to do even the complicated skins if you follow it http://s7.zetaboards.com/PSO_SERVER_HOME/topic/275339/1/

You need to make sure your image has an alpha channel. If it already has an alpha channel, you have to edit that too or it will use the pre-existing one.
