  1. I'm down for whatever new changes are as long as its still fun and balanced! I can't really think to the top of my head on what weapons need to be changed for FO's but I'd say whatever is necessary to slightly keep up with HU and RA's damage potential would be nice, not that im saying FO's should have something as strong as DM, but something to compensate. Hell, even having an armor or weapons that provides additional levels to techs without a cap would be interesting, for example lets say I equip an imaginary weapon that only FO's can use, and that adds an additional 15 levels to my techs. So now, instead of my lvl 30 techs being capped at that level, equipping that weapon makes my techs lvl 45, and thus adds provides more damage when used and takes up for MP. That was just a small little brainstorm I just thought about but I'm not 100% sure if that kind of weapon can ever be a thing since im not entirely sure if going over the lvl 30 tech cap is a thing or if its balanced in the slightest. Whatever happens, happens!

I feel quests like these end up alienating against other class's , as you would just run 3 casts with a fo taking in turns to freeze trap and DM spam to clear ,with the fo to resta and max buff

Actually yeah now that you mention it, it does alienate classes which sucks, i only like the mission for how chaotic it can really be but having certain classes having a higher priority to do those certain quests can be a bummer, then again I'd still love to see missions where any class can participate!

  3. Honestly I'd like to see a quest that is pretty tough, like WOI where there's enemies all over the map and once you die its game over! Or it can even be as stressful as the final room of HOD 2 where there's a sandstorm and a poisonous air in the room, causes a huge amount of damage to you over time while also dealing with enemies. For me, usually quest like these where theres a certain excitement and stress in a mission is the most fun for me so thats what i usually look forward to lol

which will all ways be the case for a good proportion of players as most of you have been spoon fed and bought the older found items from past players , which has put you in your positions now nothing to hunt!

i would say 80% of the population playing today has either paid for or been given said items.

    Rods for your own backs

rrriiiggghhhttt i was spoon fed? I dont necessarily have any of the other really good weapons with hit or a dark weapon yet and i dont really see adding new items to be a bad taboo, ive still got alot of stuff to hunt down the road, all i just want to say is that im optimistic to seeing something new to Ultima lol

Saber is correct in what he say's , you dont need more weapons . You want more versatility from your class's for more fun yes?

The only way i can see this happening is if a cent/Ability ++ was introduced only able to equip 1 and you need say soul booster and couple other tools to make it.

This would help a class like Hunewearl reach there cap stats and others  free a slot space for more versatility.

Adding an item that gives a character more versatility would be better! But no, thats not entirely what im trying to say. If a character is better with a new versatile item thats good, but then again nothing much would really change in how fun a character is when using the same old weapons. For example, lets say I have a Hunewearl who had all the required units and weapons to do whatever mission in Ultima. If i suddenly gave this Hunewearl a versatile item like C/Abillity++, sure she will receive cap stats and she would now have 1 free slot to add whatever unit i want, making the class more versatile, but this doesn't really add anything new to the actual class itself. This wouldnt really make it more fun to keep using the same old weapons i had before, even if the calss is better. Sure the weapons could be more efficient but it doesn't make it any more fun than having a completely new weapon that adds on to an enjoyable experience in PSO in my opinion.

They have a few new custom mag cells that can be used at lvl 50. Dark chao, twin sato, Nights (the video game) mag and a few others. Also infinite mag feed.
A lot of the cool stuff you guys are posting for is there but unfortunately they ruined their reputation by banning a bunch of people at launch.
In the end though, it’s only a video game. If u love pso it’s worth it to play on any server. Ephinea would be the closest you can get to vanilla while still  having modern quality of life features, while destiny represents the evolution of PSO.

Your absolutely right, the new weapons and mag skins are definitely an eye catcher, and ephinea is vanilla to the bone, but I'd rather stay at a place like Ultima since ive had more fond memories and ive made many amazing friends along the way. I dont see myself leaving Ultima entirely because the other servers offer a new concept of attraction like weapons and what not, Im staying here to play PSO as i see fit for entertainment and hunting. Though it wouldn't hurt to see new things pop by Ultima once and a while ya know?

The OP was about a mag skin. Most of the suggestions have been aesthetic items. I suggested a combo locked sword with a fun item collection requirement. And a weaker version of an STA that would open the possibility of varying equip setups for ep2 quests.

When people ask for new items they aren't trying to break the game, they just want something to hunt. Idk why you automatically assume every time people make suggestions on new items (or suggest any changes) you think it's because we want the game to be easier. (This elitist attitude towards other that play the game -"they want new items, it must be because they suck at the game"- is what rubs people the wrong way btw) We just want more to do. Every anniversary event people hunt d-photon core even tho the mag isn't even that good. People hunt NYCs every Christmas even tho they don't even know what they're going to be good for. People like hunting things

Some of us enjoy playing the game as it was designed, a loot-based dungeon-crawler. And don't care about the time-attack meta game that you are obsessed with. It's also annoying to have a GM that seemingly only checks in to shit on other people's posts. Let people enjoy things. Let the community have fun. Most of us know that there aren't going to be any new gear added that's going to be stronger than the items already available, and most of us don't want that. We just want more hunts we can do with our friends, and new reasons to play one of our favorite games. Not all of us are motivated just by posting new times on a internet forum

@jdhenry124 Pretty much yeah, couldnt have said it any better. Adding something completely broken and OP would definitely break this games cycle of weaponry, but really all I want are new alternatives for different classes and what not, it doesnt even have to match up to being as good as an awesome weapon like DM or DF, I just want something thats a useable alternative thats interesting and fun to hunt with friends. Even the simpler things like more chao mag skins would be nice, ironically destiny also made something like that as of seeing that video saber posted, i had no idea that was a thing lol

I'm a bit late to this, but Ultima does not need any new items for a long time. Definitely not until all the current items are working as intended or reworked to a playable form. Even then Ultima has so many items that pretty much fill nearly all combat niches you could image. Improving upon that would only lead to even more power creep for worse game play.

Not going to lie, I highly disagree with not adding any new kind of weapon to PSO, if anything adding something new gives this game a breath of fresh air and makes people excited to hunt a new item. It doesn't even have to be a weapon, it can be something simple as a combiner item or a new armor or shield.

Also a cool idea for a weapon would be the power bracelets from wind waker! Im not exactly sure how it would work but hey the bracelets look cool lol

Yo thats neat to hear. Honestly I'm sure the playerbase got smaller and smaller only cause of the fact that almost anyone playing had good gear and unless it was a HH to grind some newer thing in the game, there wasn't too much reason to get on. So if it's healing then that's really cool. Seems to be a lot of new players then for what I would like to assume. (Or more, good content)

There's more new stuff going around, like the changed DAR dropstyle, as well as weapons that have been previously been underwhelming like Frozen Faust and Arrest Faust being adjusted and fixed for people to hunt again. Even the small things like adding new lobby music was a super neat cherry on top for the server lol
