Makes sense. I guess there was an issue with it because GameGuard is used and wine can't work around that. So I guess no one on Linux or Mac can play this unless they find another work around.

my connection is solid. I haven't had issues playing any of my other games...

Has anyone on a Unix system tried running this game in wine? I have seen that people can get to create a character but I never see any game play done this way.

Direct x is updated to 9. The crash is happening right after I choose my character and get ready to enter the game.

I am using windows mode... I still can't make it past the loading screen. I am on windows 7.

I did that, not the game crashes right at the loading screen when I am trying to get into the lobby...

I have been having the same issue. What patch are you guys on? I have only managed to be on patch 1.1 I think... the game has not been able to patch since.
