  1. Hey,

There is a big difference between 80 and 100. Afaik.

Take two DMs, one with 100/0/0/100/50 (call it A) and 80/0/0/80/50 (call it B). If you go ahead and hit a Booma on Ultimate, with no s/d on with "A" you deal approximately 900 damage (give or take) and if it was 80, you would deal about 700. What it does basically is boost your effective ATP on the mob you have the % weakness to. So 100% is double damage.

I hope this clarifies a little.

  2. It's something that's frustrating I assure you. The reason for it (from what I have been told) is that the server is not accepting/blocking your connection to it. So yeah an IP thing. I had that issue once, and it basically stayed like that for 5-6 hours. My advice is this, if it persists, send a PM to Larva to check whether your IP is connecting or not, and he can handle it from there (but only if it persists). Most of the time, it's self limiting and a couple of router restarts would get you in, no problems.

I hope this helps, even if slightly.

    Good luck,

Edit: The last few days had issues with the log in server, maybe that was the cause.

  3. Hey, the exact thing happened to me as well lol. Damn you Sato :c

Sometimes the game has an issue with odd numbers on any of the stats. Best thing to do, is to evolve it and make sure the level is an even number (seeing as to your mag was level 55 when it bugged) before you log off. Also changing blocks might help before logging off. If you ever decide to make another MAG.

  4. Hey and welcome to Ultima. :D

    1) Fastest way is to make a Greenil and farm Hildetorrs when rare monsters are active.

    2) Best thing for you to do now is to just level up. Rewards wise are only sought out in Ultimate. Which is 90/100/110 on Ep1, 2 and 4 respectively.

    3) Frozen Shooter, Spread Needle, a good Mech gun and a good Arms. That would suffice as the most basic of weapons.

    4) Easter is coming on soon. :D

    5) No they are not. They are weaker.

    6) Make friends. Avoid drama. Find a good team. :D

  5. It can be used for people with and without a headset. So if you don't have a mic still come. Instead of looking around for people to help you, you can always go onto here and (if we get a lot of people) be able to ask people to help you there. Even if your not playing pso still come and talk with everybody. It would be nice to talk to everyone at once instead of having to message someone if there in a game or something. In this program you can do many thing so you can mute/ignore trollers or be able to listen to certain people. This is a good site to also communicate with people who are having issues. Instead of someone typing it all out they can tell you what appears/happened.

At least check it out :P We already have a ton of people on here!

Its Free and i'm sure there's no virus

    It is available to everyone!

We are now on Ventrilo, Everyone is welcome. It is mostly made of the PRO team and you think if you join you will be force or convinced to join. This is not true, everyone is welcomed, joining the team is your option. If you are a leader and want your own section ask squish and you will most likely get it.

    Download: http://www.ventrilo.com/download.php

Please post your experience on Ventrilo down below.

Message squish if you wish to join so he can give you the information and keep a log of everyone so we don't have anymore crashes on there. Thank you.

It's like Ra mentioned. We welcome anyone and everyone (except TJ, for obvious reasons xD). The whole point of the Ventrillo Server is to get people together. Can't Talk? Too Shy? Not a problem. A Mic is not required.

Any teams that wish to voice comm with one another are also welcome. They simply have to PM me and I will get it sorted after I give the information and what not.

Vent has honestly been a gift. Not only has it extended my play in PSO, but it got me in touch with so many awesome people from all around the world. While it's true most of the people on are from the PRO team; that shouldn't retract other people from joining! I swear, we don't bite! xD.

If you need any more information. I would love to answer and enlighten. Give it a chance! You might like it!

  6. Hey,

Good work on this, may it prosper to fruition :D.

I will try to be as short as possible :P

In general from what I have seen, the major issue with having buffed monsters is overall the ability to hit them. While that was discussed I would like to discuss a few other things.

It seems to me, and this is my honest opinion, that DEF and EVP are a bit "useless" when it comes down to it. HP seems the better option in this regard. (Notice how for example Shambertin will one shot any HP over 1700 with his tornados, while less HP survives. This isn't defense mediated. No difference in S/D levels would help in terms of those kind of attacks). In general even though RAcaseal was supposed to be the "Tanky" class, RAcast seems to be able to take A LOT more punishment than they can. Also Dark Falz swipe is HP dependant (i.e. minimum HP to survive).

Next thing I would like to provide my opinion on each class:

    HUmar:

More HP would be a nice. 200 would be great as a start. (I don't think MST would make much of a difference in this case)

ATP would definitely be a plus, however one needs to take into consideration the J/Z. 50-75 ATP imo would be enough. One would argue a Zalure Gun on a Cast however not EVERYONE has the ability to get it (PD cost, Finding C Mode Teams etc.)

    HUnewearl:

I totally agree with your suggestions. In addition to which let's not forget the 20 S/D she comes with.

    HUcaseal:

Not a lot of experience with this class.

    HUcast:

I think the ATA should remain as what it is. HUmar ATA caps at 205 iirc which provides a "small" edge on getting away with less hit weapons. I believe that's the trade-off between HUcast and HUmar in that case.

If you plan on increasing HUmar ATA to 210 and HUcast to 205 then you will have to significantly increase the HUmars ATP. By more than 150.

    RAmar:

Not a lot of experience with this class but giving it J/Z might be a bit too much. They are indeed a great solo class on their own with the ATP they have. IIRC, RAmar's have S/D :P

    RAmarl:

    Again, totally agree.

    RAcast:

    Totally agree.

    RAcaseal:

Not a lot of experience with this class. Adding more HP would be good too (to fulfill her "tanky" nature).

    FOmar:

I agree with what you said. However I do have other qualms with it.

ATA should be a minimum of 200 to be effective in Melee tbh especially that most Melee FOmars try to acquire at least 40 hit weapons. In addition to which being able to use Psycho Ravens.

HP around 200-250. Maxing at 1450 puts it in very high danger when it comes to melee-ing.

Being able to use more swords or multi target weapons (not slicers). The choice few they can have is either not worth in attack power (except the Master Sword), in the very least if they believe it will upset the balance of FO Vs. HUmar then at least Partisans. (I mean all the partisans, even though they can use quite a few, the ability to obtain a high hit photon weapon would be a lot easier than a Soul Eater/Soul Banish/Asteron Striker/Scythe S- Rank).

Being able to use the Parasols/Bags etc. For when they need to support. Instead of having to change Barriers/Weapons and Armor every few minutes.

    FOmarl:

If a boost to ATA is going to happen to FOmar, then FOmarl will also definitely need to be more. Demon Support is a big thing and she already supports really well.

    FOnewearl:

Not a lot of experience with this class but they definitely need ATP. Like Defnitely. 200-250 worth.

    FOnewman:

They are in need to be able to support effeciently.

Overall, excellent topic and keep up the good work!

I think I lied about keeping it short xD

  7. Hey everyone.

It seems that the original PSO Ventrillo server has been DDOS'd (I know, the irony xD). Therefore it has been moved to another location. If you wish to know the new server settings, please PM me through the FORUMS.

I would like to ask all the people who will contact not to share this information as such it would be controlled and to prevent further attacks.

Sorry for the inconvenience this might cause you. :c

    See you on Ventrillo soon!

If you need instructions on how to set up the ventrillo server. Please refer to this topic:

    http://www.phantasystaronline.net/forum/index.php?/topic/10123-ultima-ventrilo-voice-server/

All information on there is what you will need to connect and set it up except for the Server and Port Number (which again, you will need to contact me for :D)

  8. These next few lines are just my opinion:

I disagree with the original statement of Colorado about the definition of rich and poor. In addition that there is no middle class and the overall attitude here.

Rich has many forms, it's not the amount of PDs you have, or the gear you get, nor is it satisfaction with gear (there is always better). "Rich" therefore is an arbitrary statement in my opinion. "Rich" is in the eye of the beholder. Perhaps a goal to reach. Whatever it is you can't put prices on lots of things (Friends, Certain items, gifts etc..). Poor is also in the same effect an arbitrary statement; most "poor" players are either completely new to the Server/Game or haven't had the opportunity to hunt/make friends/merchant whatever. It's like saying a person who gifted another person a C/Vulcan will not have the same value to that person as a hunted one. So on and so forth.

If you take into consideration the definitions put forth by Colorado, then there is a middle class (hence my point for a second disagreement). People long enough in the server to have things, hunted or otherwise. I, for one consider myself to be "middle class" by those given definitions.

Overall, it's topics like these that try to further divide the population into Elite or Non-Elite and it has to stop. Even if it wasn't intended which I am sure it was not, readers just get an idea from topic. This is a game, a chance for like-minded individuals to come together to have fun, make friends, kill Boomas and most importantly sit in the lobby and troll for a while.

Edit: I didn't notice Kajex's post eariler on about the down voting war. I am not starting anything nor was I asked to do so. I just did not like the way everything was presented etc.
