Sorry to hijack the topic... This also happened to me yesterday, although the damage was minimal as it was mostly new character stuff. Still, I wouldn't want to invest time on a character and then lose every item just like that... The bug is very weird indeed. As a side-note, I have some knowledge in C/C++ and other utilities, perhaps I could offer my help to the administrators?
