Yeah, it is pretty much a random drop. Since it is random, maybe set another objective and farm the pds while accomplishing that. Also, I don't think your question about red ring dropping year round was answered (if it was, sorry for overlooking), but it does -- you can see which IDs it drops for in the drop charts.

For those complaining about individual drop rates being reduced, to solve your problem, just don't use individual drops. You aren't being forced to use it. If they weren't reduced, there would be no reason to no use individual drops over party drops. There needs to be some trade offs in order to make it a decision worth thinking about.

Fellow V1 one player -- there is no need to remember everything, as you play it will start to come back to you. Even if it doesn't come back, it shouldn't take too long to pick it back up again.

I haven't logged in the game in a couple years, but the keyboard controls are saved in the database for each character (possibly account based...). How are your settings under Menu > Options > Keyboard Controls?

It is stored in the memory of the client, so a third party tool could easily read that data and display the items of other players.

I spent almost every night playing it with the same two people I met my first day online up until the last day of the DC servers. Like a few others, it was my door into programming as well. Some of the decisions that have largely affected my life were influenced by people I've met in the PSO community as well, so it is safe to say that without PSO, my life would be entirely different right now.

Thinking a dragon slayer should only be worth 1-2 points though =p
If ultima still isn't using team points -- you could turn it into an account based point system or something, or even just keep it team based -- planning out the rewards and the points and all would be difficult though.
