  1. Just wanna point out griff that that's not a meme... But I'm waiting for the official rules to be posted before I post my memes. I'd like to know if we can post multiple memes to have a better chance at winning. I'm cool with one win per person and I'd only be entering the hit% category. Can't wait for updates to start posting!

It's 'sort of' a meme IMO tho it's missing the font (btw the font is called Impact)

Also, nice event, I'm excited :D

  2. Just to note, Normal Attack can be nice to help stop monsters from advancing, often a SSS will make the monster still close in on you, but a NSS keeps them at bay better. Most combos should be started with normal even if just to stop the monster in its tracks. You need really really good hit to do heavy or special first, and sometimes it will just never work (especially with enemy evp in ep 2). You can also delay each attack in your combos pretty significantly; this can be useful to keep enemies constantly flinching from your attacks with proper timing.

There are also at least 3 other combos that could be included off the top of my head.

NH or NS - This is a great combo in ultimate difficulty. The 2nd attack has good recovery and you can dodge the enemies counter attack and just repeat this over until they fall. Special attacks don't push enemies back like Hard attacks, so it can be a bit trickier with that, but it's still doable with practice. A skilled player can do NS combos with zerk and never be in danger of actually being hit by monsters if they know how to dodge.

NHS - This is often good on low accuracy chars/weapons, where you are only really going to hit with last attack but the 2nd heavy attack helps push the opponent away enough that they can't really gain any ground on you. I do this with hell rayguns on fomarl and fonewm in ep 2 sometimes.

SN or SNS - The Special Normal Glitch aka the Slicer Glitch. This takes advantage of a glitch where if you get off another attack while the first attack's projectile is still traveling / hasn't yet hit, that first projectile/attack gets the new ata of the second attack used. This is incredibly powerful boost, as a second normal attack is extremely accurate (far more than even a third special attack is). Easiest to do with slicers due to the projectile speed (hence slicer glitch), it is also possible with several other weapon types too (even melee types like doublesabers, though that one is very tricky to pull off).

SA, AHS and SAS added. AH and AS already were in. EDIT: Changed the indication to SSS to that Accuracy needed is GIGANTIC.

Untrue. At least I think it is. Even with v502 and a 100%/80%hit weapon, you can still miss the first strike.

I personally prefer ASS (If you know what I mean) because the A animation is really quick and it take less time to fire the second and third shot compared to SSS (I hope my sentence make any sense).

Well, if You have Berserk/Spirit/Charge and You don't miss... then it IS best. I did mention the Accuracy.

  3. Welcome to my first guide on the forums. After learning enough of PSO Logic (and seeing that there is no such guide) I decided to make one. it's about Attack combos. Let's get started!

    1. Possible attacks.

    1.1 "Attack":

    Accuracy: High

    Damage: Low

    Utility: Almost none

Your usual sword's swing. This attack shouldn't miss AT ANY CIRCUMSTACES, if it does, then you're too weak for that Area/Difficulty.

    1.2 "Heavy Attack":

    Accuracy: Medium

    Damage: Medium

    Utility: Some

This time You're dealing way more damage! However, it requires charging a little bit, so make sure a Booma isn't gonna rekt You before You hit it.

    1.3 "Special Attack":

    Accuracy: Medium Low - Low

Damage: Very Low - Very High

    Utility: Nice - Extreme

As long as You don't miss 99% of the time it's pretty useful. Specials range from Berserk, Spirit, Charge (Way moar damage) thru Arrest, Blizzard, Chaos (Utility) and Gush, Geist, King's (Drain HP, TP, XP respectively) to Hell (High Insta-kill ratio).

    2. Combo.

    2.1 What is combo?

Combo is a string of 1-3 attacks performed right after another. To do a combo press an Attack button (a button binded to one of 3 attack options) when the previous one is ending. Every consecutive hit in a combo is more accurate than the previous. To describe combos we'll be using those abbreviations:

    A - Attack

    H - Heavy Attack

    S - Special Attack

2.2 Types of combos with explanation ^^.

AAA - Standard combo when entering a new difficulty level - in other words H & S aren't accurate enough to be any good. VERY rarely used.

HHH - Another standard combo. Used more frequently. Used when S is not accurate enough/sucks balls in current situation.

AHH - Yet another standard combo. used when the 1st combo strike'd miss if it'd be a H.

AAH - Similar to above ^, but 2nd hit is also not accurate enough.

AHS - Similar to above ^, but the 3rd attack is a S.

ASS - Like AHH but with a S.

SSS - This combo can deal most damage possible in a combo, but a few contions MUST be fulfilled: Insane Accuracy, Correct S and a plenty of whatever S will drain. Also used to activate S which has low activation rate.

AH - Combo used when enemies hit You quite hard. Finishing on 2nd hit should allow You to avoid the enemies' attack.

AS - The same as above, but with a S.

SA - A combo exploting the "Slicer glitch" where if a projectile is in air (It can be executed with some meele weapons I think) and another one is sent it gains the accuracy of the new one. Easiest to pull of on Slicers hence the name.

SAS - Advanced version of above ^.

  4. I don't reccomend the chao skin for rangers, I've noticed that with this skin weapons will always point down (mostly slightly angled) and shooting is somewhat "distorted" by this (you shoot downwards but bullets reach the enemy), also long weapons will go through the floor. If someone argues that this is caused by height of the character, then I'd disagree, because Sonic skin (/npc 3) can hold guns correctly. Other than that the skin is awesome. :D

EDIT: 1 moar thing: with the chao skin in menu section IDs are just gradient squares (atleast Redria is)

  5. thanks for the great guide, however there are a few things missing:

After the steps in the guide insert the ItemTextureEp4.afs (that one that You made) into data/custom folder in the PSOBB folder and then rename it into a .pat file. Then open the PSOBB launcher, select options and change textures to custom, and the last step - restart the PSO launcher. Upon restart it will load the ItemTextureEp4.pat in data/custom instead of ItemTextureEp4.afs in the data folder.

EDIT: I present to You... a Charizard Slayer!

    first version; just a recolor

second version; with added head sprite from HG/SS

  6. It cost 9 DTs for a mat reset. Probably not worth it. You can always make another RAcast. It doesn't take that long to level up and it's always good to have more section IDs available for every class.

Alright I guess, but I wanted to fill the 4th slot with a HUcast... I was thinking though how people have 8-12 characters.

  7. Mine are here (Unordered):

    - Super Smash Bros. Melee/Brawl

    - Pokemon genereations from 3 to 5 (I don't have a 3DS sadly)

    - Tony Hawk's UnderGround 2

    - Need For Speed Underground 2/Most Wanted (2005)/Carbon

    - Phantasy Star Online Blue Burst

    - Paper Mario - The 1k year door

    - GTA San Andreas with SAMP mod

    - LEGO Jurassic World (should've completed it already, I have also LEGO Pirates of the Carribean, which was completed 7-8 times a few years ago)

    - Garry's Mod (Best Sandbox EVER!)

    - Skate 3 (played only the demo)

    - Forza Horizon

    - Sonic Adventure 2/Generations

  8. PD's aren't that uncommon of a drop. Once you start to play a lot and kill a lot of monsters, they will drop fairly often. It's possible to find anywhere from 4-12 in a week fairly easily if you play a lot and kill a lot. You can even see 5 drop in a single pts room.

The guide really isn't that outdated either. Minor tweaks can happen to it, but if it really needed major changes it would have been updated more promptly. The majority of it is fairly accurate, and it's just a guide and not a rule; things will fluctuate value based on events, rares, etc. but most of it is perfectly fine.

Maybe I'm just not lucky... I have 3 PD on stock and traded like 2 in the past. So maybe it is just me. Also when I ask anyone about the drop rate of PDs they say "it's random", now hold on a second, how can be something random have another layer of randomness? It just... doesn't make sense.

  9. I'm saying if you applied any new skins in game, try to lower a bit the settings and do a test run there, some computers don't deal well with cca

I don't really get it. IF I get into CCA everything is fine (No slowdowns, FPS drops etc.). But gonna test a bit.

EDIT: Ran a quick test with preset settings and here are the results:

    Crashes while entering Locked CCA:

    Low Settings: 0/5

    Medium Settings: 0/5

    High Settings: 4/5

So, yeah high end graphics seem to be the problem... but it's sort of mind-blowing how my PC can't stand a game older than Sonic '06 at 1 point.

  10. Skins are on slot 1 and 3, but as I said I can't access the CCA on other slots than 1 due to people making rooms on Ult only. And no I didn't lower the settings.

EDIT: It seems that "Wheather Control" quest also lets me in easily.

EDIT2: Nope.avi just crashed on "weather control" quest. It must be random then.

  11. A "sort of" continuation to my earlier Black Screen Of Death problems. It seems to got narrowed to 1 area: THE CENTRAL CONTROL AREA (most likely when Control Tower is unlocked). Crash happens when I try to get to CCA BY ANY MEANS. But there seems to be a small chance that the game won't crash and let me in. I got in CCA ONCE by trying 4 times in a row. Also I got there on first try on other room, but there Control Tower wasn't unlocked. This happens on slot 1 because my other chars are too weak to go to Ultimate and CCA isn't played on any other difficulty.

    GuildCard: 42148568

  12. Yeah, when I looked at it about v101 prices, it was a bit shocking! 8-12 PDs? Wha...? PDs are so rare that I thought it will be worth 1-2... also God/units = Skyly/Purplenum + VH + Caves + rares on. And guide says... 1 PD each? THIS IS MADNESS!!! (100% reference) I recall buying a few of those (like 2-4) with 1 PD. If God/Units would've such prices I'd be swimming in money!

  13. I'm pretty sure hundred souls does. The special for psycho raven can hit multiple enemies but it's not that useful. You should try play forest on very hard and ultimate. You may end up finding zanbeacon which is a bacon sword from this event that hits multiple enemies :P

I didn't even bother to check if Bacon is better than my Dragon Slayer... lol. Though yeah, the Slayer seems to be quite weak in comparision to my max grund Demolition Comet +25.

EDIT: Nope.avi SLAYER is stronger than bacon.

  14. materials price will vary depending on whether rare monsters is on or not, but they can go for 5:1 or 10:1 usually for pow or hp with rares off/on, mind mats usually lean towards 10:1 more often since they are not as sought after as pow are, and def/evade mats are almost always cheap since very rarely used.

Luck mats however are kinda difficult to get, they can be a few pds each (1 dedicated hh of luck mat farming only gets about 20 of them on average, would easily get a several hundred pow/mind/hp mats in 3 hours with rare monsters and no hh on).

Addslots are easy to get too, ive never bothered to charge for them or seen them actually sold much, but id say similar value to mind mats, similar usefulness, demand, and kind of hunt (7/8 drop from easily farmed rare monster).

A nice non-rare weapon like a 50 hit hell raygun / 50hit arrest raygun / 50 hit charge vulcans / etc can go for a good 7-10 pds ish.

Did not expect that the price of AddSlots will be THAT low (I expected 4/5 for 1 PD), but hey on 1 run to N VR temple I can get up to 9, while clearing 5 rooms!

  15. I got a few questions:

-should I apply grinders I got on wepons I got (YAMATO, DRAGON SLAYER), or to wait for top-tier gear?

    - what is that currency used in trading (everyone on forums uses a shortcut 'pd' and as far as I am concerned it's Photon Drop)?

    - best items to feed mag for 1 stat at a time?

    - worst levels, when progress is going to slow down? (as far i have seen lv 60-90 bad and would like to know when is that bad when you have Ultimate)

(If I have any gramatical errors then sorry, English isn't my native language [and i can't speak nor write in spanish])
