  1. For the PB chains, the best way is to designate a player who will do a simple countdown saying "2" > "1" > "Go" or just "2...1" > "Go" to make sure the chain works out as intended. I've had way too many botched PB chains thanks to people in a rush who just say "Go" right off the bat, which can go wrong every now and then for various reasons: lag, someone typing or accessing a menu, someone getting knocked over when enemies are around (desync can make this even worse) ...

Of course, obviously it's even better when you use Skype, Teamspeak, Ventrilo, Mumble and any similar program.

  2. ok..i have to admit that im a noob playing a FO..but i think that Glide Devine isnt boosting the S/D range..well..at least the "boosting animation" does not appear like with striker of chao. (if im wrong - im sorry about that)

    ...

    but,,purple ring needs a fixing..its silver..not purple xD

That's because Glide Divine "only" boosts the range of Jellen and Zalure.

  3. Berdysh is amongst the many existing weapons of which I think something should be changed about them as they see little to no use. If it was equippable by more/all classes, some players could at least toy around with the special and since it doesn't add a lot of ATP, it wouldn't be broken either. As it stands, it sadly is one of the dozens of weapons that hardly anyone has a reason to use.

I'd have more examples but since this topic is for broken weapons rather than suggestions, I'll save my breath.

  4. :une: Schranko, you forgot to mention that the Cast reductions/bonuses only apply in Ultimate difficulty.

Also, I have never heard of the third hit glitched Slicer SNS combo getting a 100% activation. It doesn't make any sense either because that means you could, for example, SNS with an Ice Diska and get off a guaranteed Freeze on any enemy that can be frozen provided you can actually ATA-hit it. I call BS. Who told you this?

  5. I'll probably get shouted at for this but I have a question or rather a suggestion for ROCT.

When you finish the quest, you'll randomly receive one out of a few weapons or a PD. Unfortunately, most of the weapons aren't too useful:

    • :gun: Yasminkov 9000 - The one weapon everyone really wants from this quest
    • :swo: Red Sword - Quite decent for HUs who don't have any of the stronger alternatives.
    • :swo: Yasha - I guess it's nice to be able for people to get it "easily" this way... but you don't see many players using Sange&Yasha
    • :gun: NUG Bazooka - outclassed by Iron Faust and Cannon Rouge (not even mentioning the even stronger RA multitarget weapons), therefore you don't see anyone using this
    • :gun: Samba Maracas - looks nice but base ATP/ATA are 10 only, so even with high hit it is pretty useless, just novelty value
    • :swo: Raikiri - again, looks kinda nice but not very practical. Novelty at best or if you need another option to lower your HP via special.
    • :can: Valkyrie - Single target weapon for FOs. Decent ATP but that's it. No special. No reason to use.
    • :can: Earth Wand Brownie - nice ATP and looks like a double saber but isn't one. Special steals HP. No reason to use.
    • :can: Evil Curst - single target FO weapon with high ATP. But it can't combo and the special is low level Megid. Again, no reason to use.

So, what we've got reflects the class disparity rather well. The most desirable weapon is for RAs, who just happen to be the best overall classes on Ultima, especially with that broken Dark Meteor. The runner-up is the Red Sword, then we got a few other so-so weapon usable by various classes and at the bottom end we have the most useless ones: FO-exclusive.

Since it requires a dedicated team with a bit of knowledge and skill to clear ROCT in a satisfactory way (read: not with 50 deaths and running out of time), it would be nice if the rewards were a bit more evenly balanced towards all classes so everyone can get something they actually will want to use. Most of the time you'll wish you got the Photon Drop instead. I'm nost asking for super powerful and broken weapons, but something that isn't guaranteed to gather dust in your characters' bank. Something along the lines of Vivienne, Last Swan/Master Raven (or even Frozen Shooter, even though that's RA again), for example.

Again, this isn't a rant, just a suggestion.

    Regards,

  6. Unfortunately I can't let go of a Glide that cheaply and you probably do not have any guns I need judging from another of your threads (tradelist).

Well, I suppose you can get your hands on one of these Glides once Armando pulls through with his offer and they go into the team bank. Let's see what he has to say about this.

  7. Bumping this since Armando has retracted his offer for the duration of his absence. Which means, if someone wants to buy one, they're still available.

  8. Since I got fairly lucky recently and also think the prices for these things are a tad too high (we need more good FOs and they need this staple equip!), I currently have 3 of those on offer for 30 PD each. Percents are crap - no hit, but frankly, no one is gonna use this for melee purposes anyway.

I'm in central europe so the timezone is GMT+1.

    Cheers

  9. Rather than making a new topic, I'm bumping this one here as I encountered this issue. Limiter at 20001 kills that won't unseal. Is it the supposedly fixed bug? ->

Have you had that bug this year? There was a bug related to unsealing that was fixed at the beginning of the year.

    EDIT:

Well, that was funny - I had already dropped/picked up the thing as well as logging off/on as was suggested in various threads. But only after logging off/on and THEN dropping and picking it up in a room, the Use option finally came up ^_^

Hope this helps anyone else in the future.

  10. Hi all,

over the last couple of weeks I've done what seems like a hundred PW4 runs on Very Hard to hunt for Three Seals from Delbiters (Redria), stopping after the 8th floor. First time I checked the drop charts on here, I only saw the "1/180" rate in the Rate (fraction) column which didn't seem too bad - however I failed to take a closer look.

After doing so many runs (including times where Happy Hour was active which would have supposedly resulted in a 1/60 drop chance) and checking the drop chart again, it was just today I actually noticed the value in the Rate (percentage) column does not match the fraction. Here it is listed as 0.131300 %, which does not equal 1/180 - try 1/762 instead. More than four times harder to find than what is implied.

So, which rate is the correct one? Have I just been unlucky or was I fooled by a wrong drop rate? I'm also wondering if there are other instances where the numbers in the two columns don't match.

For reference, here's a link to Episode 2 / Very Hard / Redria on the drop chart -> CLICK
