Severs
Posting this here because it looks like the best place, if it needs to go elsewhere please move it. So a long time ago I had added PSOBB to steam and the overlay worked just fine, however now as soon as the launcher closes, steam no longer thinks that I am in game. Is there a fix for this or does anyone know a work around for it? It's no big deal, but would be convienent if I could have this game work with the steam overlay. I have tried searching for it, and all it says online is to add online.exe to steam via the "add a non-steam game" fucntion, which no longer works properly. Soly
You have to add psobb.exe or psobw.exe instead of online.exe ... the launcher just opens the game and closes... that's why you appear as offline after the game launched. But remember to run the launcher in case you see the client updating files. Also run steam as admin. Severs
Well it appears the steam overlay doesn't play well with this game anymore, but at least now it shows when I'm playing. Thanks.

What do you mean? Maybe you are using a low resolution. http://i.imgur.com/THJv6Km.jpg
Severs
Nope, shift tab doesn't work for me, tried on both PsoBB.exe and PsoBw.exe. I'm not overly worried about.
Soly
What specifically does not work. Is steam configured to put overlay in the game, is shift + tab your keys to activate it?
Severs
Yeah, I have steam configured for the shift-tab combo, it works in most of my other games, but does nothing in PSOBB. I don't even see the framerate counter that i have steam put into my other games.
Soly
I doubt that it's pso's fault.. is pso running as admin and steam not?
Severs
Steam should be running as admin, i'll have to check at the next restart of it, I know there are a few games, even ones I've bought through steam itself, that don't like to play nice with it. Severs
Just to post a final note here, Steam was not starting as admin, and it is now. The Steam overlay does work when Steam starts as admin. Hopefully this thread will help others who have issues..
