Keyboard trouble

Don't know where else to put this, all my other buttons on the keyboard work fine. Home opens the item menu, enter is activate, all that good stuff, but for whatever reason, I can't find the key that lets me start typing to people. I used to just hit space, and it let me do inputs, but now it seems none of the keys let me type.

This is bad for two reasons.

One: I can't talk to my fellow players (and this server seems to have lots of cool players!)
Two: I can't make rooms! D:
Bonus: If I can't make rooms, I have to join an existing one. If I join an existing one, and can't talk, I look creepy/rude.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

I'm using an ASUS G75W laptop, same ol' pre-installed keyboard, and I use an Afterglow X-box 360 gamepad because I believe.

Did you try :

1) pressing space really hard (no don't do that)

2) F11

3) you can try to disable keyboards controls if you're using a gamepad

I fixed the thing, somehow I had two instances of PSOBB running at once, and it was making my computer go all kinds of wacky. Thank you though!
