Greetings. In all my 300~ hours of playing this game, I have never seriously played as a Force. Back on the official servers all those years ago, I was young and the prospect of playing as a "squishy wizard" didn't really appeal to me. Now I'm a bit older and I'd like to give it a try. And who knows? If this thread really kicks off it might end up helping someone else down the line. Right now I have my mind set on FOmarl, but there's plenty of time for me to change my mind. And yes, I have read the maximum stats guide and while it is nice to know what my endgame should be, I would like this thread to be more about the journey to get there. So without further ado, here are my questions: What attacking techs (foie, zonde, grantes, etc.) are worth using? (Obviously all support techs are useful) What are some weapons/equips I should be on the look out for? Including lower-tier hard or v hard rares. What stats should I prioritize on my Mag(s)? Are there any special mags that are particularly helpful to FOs? And just any other general advice/tricks for playing as a FO. Try to keep in mind what may be common sense to veterans who have poured thousands of hours into this game may not be entirely obvious to more casual players like me. I'm not entirely new to this game (I have a lvl 160 char), but I'm still learning the ins and outs. More good FOs are a benefit for the whole community, I say.

Thank you. You helped me again. I would like to get my hands on these weapons eventually but I'm not sure if they're currently available to me or not. I'm sure that with enough time I will get good enough for ultimate eventually, but I'm mostly here for some semi-casual fun. It's not so much ultimate itself I have a problem with, it's the grinding/farming needed to stand a chance. At least from what I've seen/heard from other people playing.

As I've started to get into some of the more difficult content its become apparent that my weapons just aren't good enough but I only just started hard mode so the endgame stuff probably isn't available for me yet. So is there is a reliable way to farm grinders to improve my weapons? I'm a level 50~ Ranger and my section ID is Purplenum. (Ultimate is a little too meta for my blood, but I would like to at least be able to play on Very Hard without constantly dying.)

Right, thanks for the tips. I think I'm finally starting to get used to the controls on this version. I just beat Episode 1 on Normal Mode with my RAcast. I did some leveling on my HUnewearl, but I think I'm going to wait and see if I can get some of my online friends to pick up this game since the magic classes are so much better on multiplayer.

Hello, like many of you here, I grew up playing this game. Specifically, I played the xbox version with my brother back in the day. After hearing that PSO2 was finally going to get a chance in the west, my fond memories of this game came flooding back to me. I played as a RAcast, and as such my first character on this version is also a RAcast. However, I will also be playing a HUnewearl to try something else. I only just now killed the dragon for the first time, so it will be a while before I can tackle the higher level content. I am completely new to the Blue Burst version, so I am still learning the controls and such. I skimmed through the help forms but couldn't find some things I was looking for. Answers or a point in the right direction would be appreciated. How do I assign techs/spells to my quick bar (1-9)? I would like to put my healing items on this bar for later. How do I do emotes/dances? This is just for fun, but I couldn't find it anywhere. Lastly, thank you. I am new, but this community seems very friendly and inviting. I look forward to taking on the high level content with you all some day.
