[Type Weapons Obtainable on Ultima?]

Hello, I came accoss these special weapons on PSO-World that seem awesome. Their names start with Type. They can have the appearance of 1 weapon but actually behave as a different weapon. Are they obtainable on this server?

[PRICE CHECK L&K38 COMBAT]

I used to have LK38 Combat with 30 or so hit. I found it to be VERY useful on my FO (this was on SCHThack when it was still locked). For enemies which had high elemental def, I used the Combat instead. It took down enemies quite quickly, even with the 1-combo animation lock.

Quick bursts of high damage coupled with the awesome looks of the weapon make it a great choice for those who like guns.

I'd rate it at about 20 pds.

[Some 'Cheap' Tricks...]

hey kure-ji i have another morfos trick.

this is a wierd glitch that prevents the morfos from shootin its laser!

its alil hard to do but u will need long range attacks.

for some reason if a morfos is not visible on ur screen, it will not shoot its laser. i dont why i just know it doesnt.

if u "look" at the morfos (actually seeing the creature on ur screen) then it will shoot lasers as normal.

so here's da trick, if u know where a morfos is gonna be at, fixed ur camera tha opposite way so the morfos is not on your screen.

now jus turn around, aim, an unload on it from a distance. easy way to kill it.

if u "see" the morfos (morfos on ur screen) u can always pipe bak to p2, return, an try again.

bottom line, u need to attack the morfos with it not being visible on ur screen.

i kne it seems ridiculous but it really works. try 12it!

Thanks for the guide! After playing this game for so many years, I'm still learning new things (and reminded of old techniques I have forgotten).

I have 1 more tip for forces that is very helpful against Vol Opt's second form, Gal Gryphon and especially the Forest Dragon. It doesn't seem to be well known, either.

GIZONDE SPAM

If your Gizonde is 20+, you can just use it against these bosses. Although the damage on-screen will only display it as hitting the enemy once, you're actually hitting it multiple times. For instance, on the dragon, I believe you can hit it up to 5 times with Gizonde. So, if you're screen is reading 250 damage, you'll actually be doing 1250 damage per cast. If you're Gizonde and MST levels are high enough, you can easily kill the dragon with Gizonde alone before it even lifts off into the air.

Basically, this makes killing the dragon a breeze, especially for low level forces. It works best on the Forest dragons, but it can also work decently well on Vol Opt's second form and Gal Gryphon. If memory serves me right, it doesn't work well on the Ep2 dragon because of his high electrical defense?

[Ranger Related Question]

I'm pretty low level right now. Just got a shot (spread weapon) to leech experience from enemies while doing almost no damage so I'm relying on others. I plan to keep doing this until I find some good units, gain more levels, feed MAG, and find better weapons. I'm helping out my team with traps as I'm a RAcaseal. Just do your best. Later on you'll be owning. Rangers rule PSO with their weapons. As a RAmarl you got good techniques to support your team. Use what you got and stick with it.

I don't know how active the trading is in the Ultima community, but from experience on the official servers and another private server, I would highly recommend you play in Ep4 very hard for a while. This will net you some good exp. Save your Photon drops and Photon crystals you find and use them to trade for better items. It works without fail for me.

I love that this one has an item donation list and X3 exp to boot. I've not noticed any lag at all. I have had a few endless loading screens when trying to get in Ultima's first ship, but I think it was full when I tried joining (62 is max limit, right?). It doesn't have "common bank" but I can live with that (it was an EXTRA feature anyway).

Every time I get on, there is always a party to join. Friendly community. Can't go wrong with Ultima!

EDIT: There IS a common bank. To access it, you need to type /bank in your chat window. Type it again to switch back to your character's bank.

Thanks for the OGG packs guys. They're both awesome. Lobby doesn't seem to work anymore, as it's re-downloaded from the patch server when you try to log-on.

To install these, simply extract the file contents to the "ogg" folder which is in "data" folder that's inside your PSOBB installation folder. Then, start the game.
