  1. Hey all I'm doing my first Hucast and I'm having some issues trying to make my way up to Ultimate difficulty.

I'm level 104 and need to level up and gear up some. However all the good gear is in Ultimate so I've kind of hit the wall.

If anyone could give an order of my priorities for gear to start making my way in Ultimate that would be great.

    Current Gear:

    Weapons:

       Chain Sawd - no hit

Diska of Braveman - 30 hit

       Charge Repeater 45 hit

       L&K - 30 hit

       Daylight Scar - 30 hit

Red Coat 4 slots (have Black Hound and BOVN in the bank but can't equip yet)

          - V101, V501, Cent/Luck, God/Arm

    Regenerate Gear B.P.

Sato 160 Power, 40 Dex (also currently working on a dex main mag for Ult)

Thanks in advance for insights :)

  2. I don't think the difference is worth sweating over. Getting rare drops is like hitting the lottery in this game. It's not so much about what your percentage is as much as it is about just getting lucky and having the winning the ticket.

Although personally I won't join a room that has shared drops just because it reeks of a ninja.

Well.. still doesn't hurt to try.
It will be running at least for a day, you can always disable it if you decide the current settings are too bad for you.

    Are individual drops bugged?

I'm in a room created with individual drops; however anytime someone picks up an item it disappears from my screen. I'm confused

    Food for thought.

For anyone who thinks it is bad for an online game like this to favor multiplayer, or you think it is bad to have decent balance between solo and multiplayer, you need to ask yourself why it's good for an online game to heavily favor solo.

And something else strange that I noticed from reading a few thoughts on this topic. If people working together and finding rare items more quickly is a bad thing for the game's economy, maybe instead of punishing those players who work together, a better solution would be to make the drop rates harder for rare items. An online multiplayer game that encourages teamwork should be viewed as a crucial goal to achieve, rather than a harmful thing that deserves punishment.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

I would love in the end to see great balance between solo and multiplayer: so people can play the way they want.

Personally I find solo play boring and monotonous (I may as well go do dailies in an MMO ), but i did because of FoN (Fear of Ninjas)

I would much rather have the dynamic party experience; even if it is at a reduced drop rate. Now I can just chill, play the game and have that fun party experience without all the loot drama.

Like I said previously the drop rate to me is rather irrelevant, you just have to get the lucky roll.

  5. Thank you sooooo much for implementing this; I'm sure it required quite a bit of time and effort. Feeling SAFE while playing in an open room is priceless.

As for those complaining: Can we at least play with the new system for a week or two and see how things ACTUALLY shake out. I'm all for improvements it's just that getting rares in this always felt like hitting a lottery. You're odds of winning don't vary much whether you have 85 or 100 tickets; it's just a matter of getting lucky :)

  6. To those who use a Dualshock 4:

I have mine hooked up with DS4 Windows/Input Mapper (running on Windows 10 btw) but I can't get my right stick or triggers to work. I like to use these as hotkeys for my 1-10 abilites.

How can I get these working? I've been trying to use an old (free) version of XPadder, but it is not working.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks :)

  7. Even if a few players will take advantage of player exclusive drops by controlling 4 characters at once, I would imagine that for most players it would be a net positive. How come other PSO servers and most other MMOs in general are able to survive with this sort of drop system? It seems to work for them.

Right now if I'm in an open room and someone joins, I can't help but think "Aw shit, now I have less chance of getting rare items". How fucked up is that? How cool would it be if instead I thought "Awesome! Now I can enjoy playing with another person and also have a better chance at getting rare items."

This is exactly what I'm looking for right here. To enjoy the chance to play with other people not dread it.

While I realize some people could abuse by dual or quad logging I see it like this: For the truly elusive items P-wand, Hev Pun, SJS etc. you'd have four lottery tickets instead of one. Your odds haven't been increased dramatically, it's still about getting lucky.
