  1. I added all the files to my firewall and no change. I don't use windows 8 myself, but that laptop does so maybe I'm missing something with the windows/tabs? I'm not sure if you're familiar with Windows 8, but when you hit the start button thing on the bottom left it takes you to a page of blocky apps. I've searched through there without finding a PSO window, but maybe it gets hidden away there when I launch it? That does seem unlikely to me though.
  2. I can access the setting from the launcher, and I even tried putting the graphical quality on low and turning of the sound just to make sure it wasn't simply that the laptop was too weak. I'm not quite sure what "an issue with the resolution" is specifically. I checked it and it was standard 640 x 480, just like it is on my laptop where it works just fine. As for the account question I made a separate account for them, so that isn't the problem, and I even logged off of PSO myself just in case for some reason two people on the same internet connection couldn't play at once. I didn't get the chance to log in when launching the game however, because you have to get to the title screen in order to do that, and I was stuck at the launcher.
  3. I just downloaded PSO and got it running on my laptop, and I wanted to put it on my household's other laptop so that a younger sibling could play along with me. It works fine on mine, but when I hit "Start Game" on the launcher on my siblings' laptop I get that security warning, give it permission to run, and then nothing happens. I don't get a failure/error message, the game doesn't start running, just nothing. Their laptop is actually more powerful than mine and I can run the game fine so it can't be an issue of power, but it might just be incompatible (their laptop is a Toshiba Satellite C855-S5123). I'm not quite sure what the issue is, so I'd appreciate any help someone can offer about getting it running, or even just a concrete "no it won't run PSO," so that I can give up on it.
