Edit 1: If you tried to download the file before this edit and it didn't work, then try downloading it now. I've fixed the link and uploaded the file itself to MegaUpload. :)

This is a patch (originally provided by Lee on SCHTHACK) that COMPLETELY eliminates the fog that appears at the Central Control Area on Episode 2 for Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst.

Click here to download the patch. More instructions for the download can be found below.

Note: I am not the original creator of this patch! Therefore, all thanks goes towards the original creator of the patch.

Also please note, since this isn't technically a skin to the game itself due to the fact that it actually enhances game play for everyone, I decided to post this as a separate thread. :)

Please note that this patch download works differently depending upon the browser you are using in terms of how you save it. I will post only the two browsers I know of from my own knowledge, so you may feel free to do so for the browser(s) you use as well. :)

    Google Chrome

    1. If you are using Google Chrome, then make sure to download the file and then click on "Show in Folder" to go to the Downloads folder in your My Documents area to see the file.
    2. You MUST then copy-and-paste the 'particleentrya23.dat' file from your Downloads folder to your Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst data folder. After that, you should be ready to go from there. :D

    Windows Internet Explorer

    1. If you are using Windows Internet Explorer, then make sure to download the file and then click on Save and choose the save location to be in the Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst data folder. You should be ready to go from there. ;)

Tenga en cuenta que esta descarga parche funciona de manera diferente dependiendo del navegador que está utilizando en términos de cómo guardarlo. 2. Is there any way to play with a GC user on this server?

Not at the moment, like Vypor said. :(

I know another server that allowed GC users to connect to their server via a patch file. My Wife prefers gamecube controls over PC controller.

I'm pretty sure that there is a way you can connect the 360/GameCube controllers to your computer so you can play Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst with a controller instead of a keyboard.

I'm not so sure as how to do so myself, though. Perhaps I should look up how to do that. XD

I'm getting PSO GC from a friend in the mail and would like to be able to play with her from My pc and My wii/the GC copy of the game.(My friend has an actual GC if needed.)

If you really want to play on the GameCube version of the game, then you're gonna have to ask your friend for the actual GameCube console as well.

The Nintendo Wii cannot go online with Phantasy Star Online: Episode I, II, or III.

  3. If the drops are halved rather then doubled please say so.

Rare monsters can now be found 4x as easier. As said by Larva before, though:

we have decide to lower the rate of the drop's, this is to give balance to the game

In other words, the drop rate is lower in the terms of you (and other people) not being able to hunt for certain items as easy as you used to be able to. However, the probability of you finding drops from rare monsters (even though the current drop rate for their items may be lower) are easier to obtain.

^ This makes doing Kondrieu runs and all other rare monster runs far easier to manage since they can now appear more frequently.

Edit: An important note as well: Remember that rare monsters also give more EXP. I found an Al Rappy with my Lv. 5 HUcast on my second run of Forest 1 and received 300 EXP from it. :onion-head21:
