Everyone has been great thus far, and have thoroughly enjoyed my couple of weeks on the server. I have missed this game since the last Gamecube server was shut down. Love being brought back to the days of the Dreamcast.

La Dimenian in ep.2 v-hard drops Double Saber and De Rol Le v.hard ep.1 and Gal Gryphon ep.2 drops Mahu for Purplenum. Are you sure it wasn't those that gave you the drops?

That makes more sense now. The Mahu did drop during the Caves boss fight. Not sure where the Double Saber dropped, but that sounds about right. Maybe I was just looking at the wrong episode charts... Forgive my noob mistakes.

I checked out he rare drop charts for episode 1 and 2 as I am new and haven't hit Ultimate yet. And nothing really seems to correlate for me. I have gotten drops from mobs that don't match up to any of the charts for my Purplenum section. For example, I got a Mahu last night and Double Saber in a lobby that I created. Both of the Mobs that dropped the items do not correlate to the drop charts on PSO World, or even on the Ultima website.

Is there something that I am missing here?

Is there a chart somewhere that I can reference in order to find the proper drops per class and Section ID?

I wanted to say hi to everyone on behalf of my brother and I. We played PSO on the DC, Gamecube, and on another PC server that shutdown some time ago and found this server a little over a week ago. Thus far the community has been fantastic in it's support, and I would like to extend a special thank you to ZenReborn who has been a HUGE help in getting my brother and I going. Moderators you should definitely do something nice for him, because he was what building a strong community is all about.

My only character currently is a RAmar named Grimaldus, and my brother has a HUmar named Azrael. If you all see us milling around the lobby please feel free to say hello.

[gamepad custom layouts not saving]

hi there.

im new to the ultima server, used to play pso on original xbox many moons ago and glad i found this server to get back into it,

ive been playing with a ps4 controller and had to change some of the buttons around so the layouts would work properly but it seems that when i exit the game and log back in it resets leaving me have to remap them.

does anyone know of any way i can save the new custom setting so i dont have to keep doing this, thank you in advance

I play with my XBOX One Controller and I have had zero issues with the controller randomly reformatting. If you have one of those you could always switch over to that and give it a try.

Room leader's section id decides drops. This is probably the best drop table to refer to, keep in mind drops change during events.

If you want some advice for mags, try asking specific questions. Like if you know what stats you want your mag to have and what photon blasts then you can ask how to feed it to get those stats.

The feeding chart on pso-world is helpful it tells you the amount of points you get from feeding a mag each item. 100 points equals 1 level up.

It seems as though rare enemies and drops are higher than on Dreamcast and Gamecube. We started our first play trough last night, and during our first Cave run, we spotted at least 3 rare flowers. Of course the drops were insubstantial due to us being on Normal skill level as these are our first characters on this server.

How difficult is it to come across heart of chao, robochao, or chu chu?

My joystick has been "missing" sometimes when I press a direction and squeaks very loudly, even after taking it apart. It's about time I get a new one so what do you all recommend? any USB controllers you have a good experience with?

I use XBOX One remotes. Took a little remapping, but I have it set up just the way the Dreamcast controller worked. Now I just need a memory card with a screen on it, and the nostalgia will be complete.

[Rare Weapon, Gear, and Mag Guide?]

Can someone point me in the direction of a breakdown for the title of my thread? Preferably one that's easy to use. Not too fond of the PSO world one, it seems pretty confusing and half the attachments won't load.

Also, I know drops are determined by your Section ID, but is this determined by the lobby creator?

Or is this determined by the person that gets the actual killing blow on said monster and or boss?

Or, will your Section ID simply determine what the item is when the unidentified item is revealed no matter what the factors were that I listed above?

So attempting to get this game up and running has been incredibly frustrating for me. Took me forever to find the registration link in my spam folder, and now I cannot login to the game because the server says my password doesn't match my account. I reset it, it says it was reset successfully, and the system will still not let me sign in and create a character. This is driving me pretty insane. Does anyone know what I can do to get this issue resolved or how to contact the server administrators?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

[Game is asking for me to complete email registration?(New Player)]

I got the game downloaded and patched, but when I try to start playing the game, it says "Please complete your account Registration via email"

I have not received any registration email, and this process is becoming increasingly frustrating for me personally. Can someone please help me out here? Is there no way to contact the server administrators about said incidents?

Oh yeah there is no cheating on this server. The GMs are always on top of things so anyone who tries something like that will be banned. I would suggest RAmar as the best choice for starting out. He's an easy character to use starting out and he has great potential once you get to level 200. If you find me in game, I'll give you free meseta and maybe some other stuff. People on this server tend to be very welcoming to new players. I'm sure you and your brother will enjoy being here very much c:

Sounds awesome, I couldn't stand that when I played before. There were "duped" items everywhere back then, and it was irritating. And the help sounds cool, I haven't decided on a character name yet either, but I am stoked.

I failed to mention that in the original versions, many items were "Duped" or basically mods in the game, and I was hoping this community was largely devoid of that. It made the rarer items simply not rare on the dreamcast and gamecube, and kinda sucked.

My brother and I used to play PSO religiously upon it's original release on the Dreamcast, and then we continued to play it when the GameCube version was launched. The game was always unbelievably addicting, and on a whim yesterday I googled POS servers and found this fine server, and immediately let my brother know. We could not be anymore excited.

Long story short, we plan on begining our journey tonight, and I was wondering if there were any community lobbies or aids to get brand new players on their feet. I know I remember a big problem early on is simply getting Meseta. I am not looking for hand outs, or requesting anything really, just wondering how well the community supports the newer players if and where it is needed.

I think we both intend to play Hunters, but I am also torn between a Humar, a Ramar, and a Racaseal as I had one of each in the originals. I hope to see you all on and look forward to leveling up and pushing towards Ultimate Edition and level 200.
