Larva could easily edit a few locked items to be exclusive for Ultima though. Empress and Rainbow weren't added like that. To actually add stuff to the file you need to actually add the said data (which is easy). Then you have to fix all... what was it 300 ish pointers because they all need to be change due to the expanded file (you ain't doing that manually with a hex editor). People should be thankful for the editor he released in the first place though, if it wasn't for that you would still have completely default items now. Lee Posted June 20, 2012 Share Posted June 20, 2012 (edited) basically my program rebuilds the file that the login server needs to send to the client in order to code for items hex groups, I also have a unitext editor for adding new entries to the unitext file and an id patch program for the exe so i can update the total max item codes. Atm i just add to existing hex group slots, there weapons take on the properties of the slot i assign, new models and skins can be used by patching the relevant files, skins obviously easier then models, you really can't do fancy stuff though like new super specials, although it's still fun to mess with since i can create upgrades for existing items using combine and use stuff (i did an edit for ultima a while back to create a mag cell with a use option for the elenor mag),. Oh and i've already been offered cash on a few occasions by different people. No amounts obviously since i turned them down flat anyway.
